  1. Airline class lingo: F = First J = Business Y = Coach
  2. Lots of good memories at P&P. Oh well, times change. As for new places, we went to 1751 (something something) that used to be Star Fish. We thought it was great. Good service, food was excellent, and they don’t rape you on wine prices. I has the amberjack seared with a side of their broccoli. Wife had the green curry shrimp. Both were excellently done. We went for a quick dinner before a movie and I am looking forward to going back when we have more time to try out some other dishes.
  3. I would also do R'evolution over Arnaud's. The French 75 bar was great and the atmosphere was as expected, but the food was meh.

  5. More like “please God don’t let it be Fertitta.”
  6. If there is one thing in this world I would trust it would be the ability of the Soviets to admit a mistake and accurately report fatalities.
  7. Every battle in this show has seemingly had ex machina events (e.g., Tyrion at Blackwater Bay; John at Ice Lake; John at Battle of the Bastards; Jamie and the Loot Train (bottomless river)). That being said, I'm cool with it.
  8. Damn, I feel like I need a cigarette after that.
  9. Why is it that every fucking time I need to unlock the door to get in the house my keys are in the same pocket as whatever hand is carrying all the shit I’m bringing in from the car? I’m forced to do the awkward opposite hand cross body pocket dig. It makes it all better when my wife is sitting on the couch fifteen feet away from the door.
  10. International duty free is your friend. Traveling to Argentina is even better (strong dollar). Generally you’re looking at $20 per smoke for a known label.
  11. So many good lines in this show, but it must be awesome to write for a character like Richard. He knows something about everything and is unbelievably humble about it.
  12. Had to say goodbye to my little white sidekick Eddie this weekend. He had a blockage in his gallbladder that would require a $10,000 surgery and recovery. We just couldn’t justify it for a 60% survival rate on a 12 year old dog. I hate that I feel like I failed him. The worst part is we were in Dallas and there was no way to make it back to be with him at the end. The house just doesn’t feel the same and there is no way a new dog could carry my little buddy’s personality. I already miss him terribly and everything reminds me of him. Bye buddy, you were a good boy.
  13. Must have been a kick ass bachelor party.
  14. Agreed a shit load of talent on display out there.
  15. You're doing the Lord's work.
  16. We made Huge open a couple tonight. Had the Kentucky Owl 2nd, Boss Hogg, Hancock Reserve, 2013 George T; and a light snip of the Van Winkle Lot B (circa 2012?) Good times were had Edit: forgot the Midsummer Night's Dram and Elmer T Lee.
  17. You've got to be pro-active. Fill your calendar for tomorrow so you don't run into the same problem.
  18. PSA - Kroger on Shepherd and 11th has some really nice prime rib eyes for $16/lb.
  19. Restaurant R’evolution for dinner tonight. Amuse bouche Oysters (the two on the right basically tasted like a Bloody Mary). Death by Gumbo Raw Veg salad Ricotta gnocchi with lobster Lamb ragu with pappardelle Red fish with smushed potato. Might be the best fish dish I have ever eaten. Rib eye (boring), it was perfectly cooked though
  20. The Roosevelt is having a contest to award the person who returns the best item stolen, given, or purchased from the last 125 years wins a seven night stay in the Presidential suite.
