We’re at La Cantera this week and it’s sad to see how neglected the property has become. Staff is trying hard, but they’re just aren’t enough people to do the basics. The PE firm who bought the place from USAA is clearly sucking all the cash out of it. The pool chairs and tables are in terrible shape, and there are signs of wear and tear everywhere. We’ve enjoyed this place for the past five years but it’s done now. Too bad.
No shit. I was watching last night and I barked at the tv “just fucking spit it out already” as she was trying to explain her two job opportunities as a sleepover.
My main problem with the estimate is there was no explanation of what it why it needed anything. Just an “Accept” or “Decline” option. They sent the watch back and a document inside noted their analysis and what they thought needed to be done to the watch. They said the crown and pushers were dented (if they are it’s not very noticeable). I’m mostly frustrated but the poor communication and/explanation. Oh, and I had to call twice to get them to remind them to send the estimate after they told me it was available.
My El Primero slipped from my hand when I was putting it on and I cracked the crystal. Zenith wants $1,600 to replace the crystal (they say it needs a full service in addition to the $600 charge for the crystal). I call bullshit.
