  1. Browns got so lucky with Mayfield. Got a future super star qb, now they have studs all over the offense. By now people have totally forgotten that this is the same franchise that lost 31 of their last 32 games before drafting Mayfield.
  2. That shouldn’t be the basis for why you just assume failure. All it takes is the right mix of players and coaching to go on a run in the nfl. What was a lock to me was that they would be competitive behind him and they’d clearly be a better team than the year before. The same will be true for 2019 too.
  3. I bet you thought the Browns would be dumb to take Mayfield at number one, and that Mayfield would immediately fail there because it’s the Browns. Starting to think that the only reason you think they’ll fail is because theyre Sooners.
  4. If you beat every team on your schedule, is that really backdooring your way in? It's more poetic to defeat the only team who beat you than to have a singular loss which went unanswered. Especially if they're also a top 10 ranked team for a CCG.
  5. Lincoln Riley is undefeated as HC against texas.
  6. Don't let your mouth write checks your ass cant cash boy. And don't show up a certain truck stop restroom at 2 am if you know what's good for your bunghole
  7. Where in my post was I trying to give him the Heisman? Surely you're not exaggerating! All I said about him was that he's completed 27 of his last 32 passes and I guess somehow to you that's the same thing as anointing a Heisman upon a guy.
  8. IF you are playing wait and see, you probably wont learn much from him playing ucla or texas! I'd say what we've seen so far gives us a hint as to what he can do. And we'll really see if the game is on the line and it's on him what he can do. But that athleticism opens up a whole other dimension for OU. So far he's undefeated, which is more than others can say.
  9. Keeping Anderson in check, easier said than done. He was held under 80 yards once last season (as a starter) and it was against Kansas. But yeah keep him in check sure you have a chance. Then again you'd have to keep Sermon in check too. Honestly with that Oline I am not sure more than a small handful of teams have a Dline who would be capable of that. As far as challenging Murray to throw- he did complete 27 of his last 32 passes so it would appear that accuracy isn't his downfall.
  10. Seeing who it was against, and knowing joe important qb play is, that’s how I extrapolate. There’s still time though.
  11. Sanders is their only chance to win this year. And the defense Is just not good. Gonna be a long year if they don't make some changes
  12. It's not intended as a dig. I wouldn't mind having more combos, I'm not the purist that others are, I wish OU did it more. But I know a gimmick when I see one, that's all it is. Jumpman logo and excessive uniform combos, they are gimmicky recruiting tools but people just like the brand. It can be as dumb as a box of rocks for all I care, if those teenagers like wearing it, its tolerable since they are make Saturdays great!
  13. Doesn't make it any less dumb. I suppose it's a matter of opinion. But it's so popular people at two of these Jordan brand schools have gotten busted selling them. It's a s gimmicky as having 16 different uniform combinations ya know? But it sure doesn't hurt recruiting IMO he's their best chance to compete for the B12
  14. It'll really be stable once it's spearheaded by OU and Texas again. And with TCU and Osu and Ksu and even ttech pulling out the occasional 10 11 win season. Even now it's still ahead of the pac.
  15. So do a few other football programs. It's a nice recruiting tool too, kids love Jordan. Even football players. A lot of schools wanted it but only a few got it
  16. True, but like any rookie he has to get his feet wet somewhere at some point. He'll also likely have better players surrounding him too than the 2nd and 3rd stringers who are trying to make the team. What they are looking for in a preseason game is just good decision making and making positive plays, and he did that pretty well. That game has no bearing on anything but it did get it started, gave them some confidence to move forward. I feel like it gave us an impression at the very least that it's not too big for him. We shall see how it goes! Anything can happen
  17. Meh. Depends who you ask. Detractors will usually only remember what they don't like. The fans will usually only remember the things they did like. Or I guess what really happens is that people always look for reasons to hate or to like someone. Texas fans will always be on the lookout for reasons to hate him, and ignore anything good he does. Which is fair i guess, it's part of the rivalry. But on the other side you have the fans, who will see only the good and overlook the bad. I think celebrities and sports stars usually fall into this dichotomy because as fans, we are invested. Invested in liking or disliking a player or team.
  18. I already did. I like milking qbs. I think a lot of qbs are gonna be good this year, and yes I want to milk them all. When? Or are you just being a tease?
  19. He’s a backup and played well with the backups. It’s a good start for him. And even so, I bet the talent level he faced is still higher than what he saw in college week in week out.
  20. Naw it’s mostly acecdotal. Stuff other people say from being around him. Comments by teammates or people who have met him when there were no cameras. Not a big deal really. We all see what we want to see
