  2. I always get a kick out of it. How many times have you seen a bull or steer charging? The horns go down when you FAFO. Just ask that little bitch Uga:
  3. They are the OG Aggies of the SEC. They hate Bama more than they love Auburn.
  4. We have a mating pair of hawks in our neughborhood. Our dog often finds disemboweled rabbits in our backyard. One evening she was barking constantly at a tree along our fence line and couldn’t be distracted. I thought there might be a squirrel or raccoon she had treed. I went to go distract her and saw a decapitated and disemboweled rabbit hanging from the branches.
  5. This was a visitor to our deck last fall. Took it through the window of our house. He hung out on our railing for a good couple of minutes, but I never could get him framed up well without a window or door frame in the way.
  6. My wife just played the show podcast. I was blown away to learn that Dita Beard was portrayed by Kathleen Turner. I did not recognize her. Also, I will add another voice to the chorus that Theroux has Liddy’s voice nailed down. According to at least one Watergate historian the Project Gemstone pitch is pretty close to real life with the biggest exception was that Hunt was not there.
  7. Pic I shot of my wife hiking around Lake Tahoe (iPhone 13 Pro Max)
  8. This show had me in stitches. Haven’t laughed this much in a while. Liddy’s album he played for the Hints on their first visit-OMG! Scheisse!!
  9. You can say that again.
  10. I felt like there were a couple of nods to Logan’s Run thrown in, as well.
  11. Yeah, can’t help but feel sad for the droid. Although, I had to laugh when I realized his name is literally “be too emo” - B2EMO. The poor little guy can’t help it.
  12. Yep, Dish and Disney are in a carriage dispute.
  13. Holly Rowe, the consummate pro, demonstrating the art of damning with faint praise… truly unique and special.
  14. Thanks. We were thinking of going from Reno to Stateline on Friday night. Someone had mentioned a couple of hour drive to Yosemite. Now that I have looked, we would probably be looking closer to a 4-5 hour drive to the valley to see El Capitan. I am hoping that snow won't put a damper on the ability to drive around. I am guessing any camping in Yosemite has been reserved many months in advance.
  15. Ha, well her job has put her up in the hotel/casino where the conference is being held. I think it is the Peppermill. Is it going to be that bad?
  16. My wife has to go to a work conference Oct 26-28 in Reno. I am going to join her and we are going to stay through the weekend. We were hoping to head down to Lake Tahoe and maybe a day trip to Yosemite. It appears we will be there during a shoulder season when a lot of things are closed. We were hoping to take the gondola up to Heavenly but it is among the things not open at that time. Would appreciate some ideas for activities. We were hoping to do some hikes, but can’t get too strenuous due to her being on her second artificial ankle. I have considered renting a minivan and “camping” in it at one of campgrounds (any rec’s there?), but not sure if that is feasible. We’re also unsure of the weather. How likely would it be to need chains during the last week of October?
  17. Yep. I can’t stand Red Bull, but that was all on Russell. Checo did what he had to do
  18. Djinn excitedly: “and this is your wish?” Marwa consoling Nandor as they enter the club. I’m dead (and outta this world)…
  19. Right. She didn’t get enough time in a bacta tank. I’ve always wondered if the bacta tank stung wounds like a spray from a bottle of Bactine.
  20. Ha. I stand corrected. Damn Kathleen Kennedy made me confuse Longhorn Bob with Bill in Sinton and I lost MY focusness.
  21. Need more focusness -Bob in Sinton
  22. Well, going by the responses that I see on social media from people I know that claim to get their news from multiple reputable sources (“But, I don’t watch Fox) we could be hardening schools with the $40 million Brandon sent to Ukraine. I am sure we could probably cut corporate taxes and taxes on the ultra-wealthy a little more, too, to trickle-down the funds to pay for erecting fences/walls around all our school yards and getting armed guards at all the entrances, building sally ports for the school buses and parent drop-off lines, etc. It could work. I am trying to stay positive here. I am just thankful that we have all the thoughts and prayers of the Republicans, and especially of all the “Christian right” that I used to be a part of. I am thankful for all the good guys with guns that have kept and could keep all these situations - past, present and future - from being worse. Just imagine how many more children would be dead without all these thoughts and prayers!!!!!
