    Looch is the coalmine canary.

The guy influences the lives and opinions of thousands of Aggies. It will be fascinating to watch how the tenor of the UT-A&M fan relationship changes as he goes further off the deep end. He's always been an insufferable, lying douche, but the "I WOUN'T EVEN SHAKE HANDS" thing... hmmmm. I don't really think Aggies ever thought of us as non-persons before, the way the political fringe treats its opposing 10% (i.e., we lost an election so we should secede). I mean in every Aggie anecdote all of their underlings went to t.u., so clearly they had some use for us no matter how dumb or gay. Now we're unpersons to Looch.

    Cue Titanic theme. I'm sad.

  2. I don't think any conference really fits for Missouri. They were just sort of there in the Big 12. They're too rednecky white trash for the Big Ten (grandfathering in Ohio State) and not rednecky white trash enough for the SEC. Maybe they could bounce down to C-USA.

Don’t know why but get a kick how the Pac handles their bb scheduling by lumping schools together for road trips.  Like example, both Zona schools are in LA this weekend and both will play UCLA/USC this weekend.  Both UW/WSU are in Oregon this weekend for UO/OSU.

the Big Ten used to do that in the 80s, they called it 'traveling partners'

  4. I like the part about how people "mistakenly" think t.u has to be "down" for them to be good.

Lord, what would ever give anyone that impression? The last time both teams were ranked while they met was 2004; A&M didn't finish that season ranked. 1999 is the last season both teams were ranked when they played and at season's end. The last time both teams were ranked in the Top 15 was 1977. In the entire history of the series, the teams have met while both ranked in the Top Ten on two occasions. TWICE-- once in 1941 and once in 1975.

aggy will never build a fan base outside ot Texas for the same reason BYU will never build a fan base outside of the Mormon religion - their cultures are so discordant to the rect of society that few want to change to the degree necessary to assimilate into the group.

A&M's overwhelming problem is their aggy culture.

The idea of widespread "subway fans" is totally outdated anyway-- Notre Dame built its national fan base so many decades ago that it's not relevant to modern day college football.

Nope, purple jerseys and white pants at home; white jerseys and purple pants on the road.

There's nothing wrong with their purple uniforms at home. I'm settling for what I can get here.

You'll switch next year, because that's what the TCUs and the Baylors and the Marylands of the world do.

yeah... fucking ditch the all-blacks, and there you go. All purple at home, all white on the road (although I would go w/purple helmets on the road). Simple. but no they gotta have all blacks, grays, spitting blood helmets, chrome, gadget shit

Does aggy count all the 90 day wonders as aggy alumni?

If you stopped in College Station to take a shit in 1942 and then served in the military, you are an Aggie alumnus in their estimation

I think I'd be more interested in an "open discussion" type meeting.

that's about 70% of what I attend, with 25% being book studies (Big Book / 12&12) and maybe 5% being speaker meetings
