Hahaha, that really was the worst fucking game of all time.

of all the Christmas gifts I ever got, that has to be the one that had the biggest dropoff between the excitement of opening the package, and the disappointment once I got a chance to actually play it

first of all the players on the package were painted to look like the Cowboys and.... I don't remember, probably the Redskins, but the players that came with the game came in either all red or all yellow

secondly the gameplay was non-existent and there weren't any useful instructions (or, obviously, Internet) to tell you how to do anything other than create a giant gridlock at midfield

Just one more example of outsourcing to our Asian counterparts...

another example of an invasive and disruptive pain in the ass from Asia coming over here too

If any of you have tips for a rookie please feel free.

since you're post-surgery, be careful with your hands-- warm up before playing, stretch after

but try to play every single day-- when I was trying to learn how to play, I played for an hour every day. it wasn't good focused practice per se, but even farting around is great for a beginner

They will produce hours of programming about how Texas A&M alone is fighting this pandemic, and no one else on the planet is doing anything except aggys.

Sort of. Aggie is myopic. They don't know or really think about what anyone outside of the state of Texas is doing; they couldn't find China on a map and they think the whole of Europe is gay Frenchmen sipping out of little teacups at outdoor cafes. Their propaganda will make it sound like they were the only school in Texas doing anything about Coronavirus, because that addresses their biggest current insecurity (the Dell Medical School and their lack of anything comparable).

Maryland Terrapins were also wanted for their academics

not really, the B1G wanted the TV markets and Maryland was drowning in red ink and whored itself out. any other factor was a nice-to-have and/or "not a dealbreaker, look at the TV market" type of thing

yeah that's always seemed really likely, luckily I put an anti-virus gnome in my garden so all the bad prognostications didn't come true

If there is no football LHN should come up with something like replaying the 2005 season game by game every Saturday at the same time it was originally played.  They will be playing reruns all season anyways so let’s relive the greatest seasons on a Saturday by Saturday basis.

condensed versions of > 100 CFB games throughout the years, but pertinently, he just put 11 of our games from 2005 up there

And sadly a huge number of "functioning alcoholics" are going to cross the functionality line

true-- now, all we can do is hope and pray they realize it quickly

if they're like me, they'll mistake "still gettin dat paycheck and not divorced" for "functional", for a long time

My guess, Lalo kills Kim. Steep price working the cartels

the Nacho-and-his-dad thing seems like it might be a parallel--- even if Kim and Saul go their separate ways, Saul can be kept in line with the threat that something would happen to her were he to end up NOT being a friend of the cartel

When they cancel this season - which they will - I wonder how that will impact scholarship limits when play resumes in 2021. Will the grant an increase to, say, 110 scholarship athletes, and give everyone two redshirt years (excluding this year, of course) to handle the glut of players on the teams? They'll have to spread it out over the next 4-5 years. Crazy to think about..

well, they're students, so I think the focus should be on them finishing their Kiniseology and Communications and African-American Studies degrees and going pro in something other than sports.

Dylan Wright. Kenyon Green. Demond Demas.

it's probably just longshot wishful thinking because I root for bad things to happen to A&M but I won't be shocked if Demas ends up feeling like a dodged bullet for us. he just seems like he has potential to be an embarrassment. that could be an immediate Hart Lee Dykes embarrassment or a longer-term Lamar Thomas embarrassment, but it won't surprise me either way

Dr. Ezekiel "Zeke" Emanuel, one of the key architects of the Affordable Care Act and a special adviser to the director general of the World Health Organization, told The New York Times that he doesn't anticipate it to be safe to return to concerts, sporting events and other mass public gatherings for another 18 months.

that guy can go straight to fucking hell

  12. ah, ya gotta love that straight from the mouth of an alumnus

I'm not saying he's wrong about how to make the decision, but it would be preferable to hear him say "Obviously as a Longhorn I hope he picks UT, but only if that's what's best for him" or something along those lines. Not "I have no preference, Michigan, Memphis, Texas, it's all the same".

“I just told him: I couldn’t care less,” Brown Jr. says. “I did what was best for me at time. What I need you to do is what’s best for you.”

the Myles Turner team when we returned everyone plus added Turner but were somehow much worse than the year before,

a team so disappointing that it got a long term University of Texas coach fired after a winning season, let that sink in

of course maybe Dodds was awake from his nap during the Butler game and noticed Turner barely got in the game

This thread has become worse than Star Trek fan fiction.  LOL at the PAC's best schools ditching a century of tradition along with Notre Dame coming to the Big 12.  We'd be lucky if we could convince the non-coastal PAC state schools to switch over.  USC, UCLA, Washington, etc. are not joining the Big 12.  These hypotheticals are dumb.

man, sorry this Internet sports message board is wasting your time
