  1. When she applied to run for City Council back in 2014, she had to state her occupation...
  2. I believe this is correct. Fitlump knows she’s not gonna win. And she’s ok with that cuz that’s not her goal. On an emotional level, her goal is to fill the dark emptiness of her soul with attention, adoration and approval from strangers who don’t know what a shitty person she is. She’s getting that right now from the Q-Anon/Trump/anti-mask/pro-police crowd and idiots like Jeremy Bravo. It’s not enough to win, but it’s enough to fill that need for her. I do think she’s trying to increase her name recognition for another run in the future. But on a more immediate level, I think this city council run probably is a low level grift. She’ll take in more donations as we get closer to the election and probably end up with $40-50k, but she’s not gonna spend all of it on commercials, yard signs or campaign events. She’ll use some of that money to buy herself another fake Louis Vuitton purse. Then when she loses, she’ll donate her unspent campaign funds to the non-profit of her choice. Which will just happen to be Take Back Austin, and she will just happen to be the only paid staff.
  3. You’re remembering correctly. Someone archived the highlights at this site: https://archive.vn/Ut02z The tldr is she banged Lance, then he quit paying attention to her. So she started sexting him and sending him pics, and he said he would hang out with her in a few months to shut her up. Then she went to Twitter and posted a screenshot of her sexy texts with Lance and tagged Lance in her tweet to get attention on Twitter. Lance sees the tweet, gets pissed cuz now the entire world knows he boned Fitlump (which is way worse than getting stripped of seven Tour de France titles) and texts her WTF? She says she’s sorry, she’ll delete it but she only deletes part and not all of her tweets. Then she came on to TOS and posted screenshots of her texts attempting to make up with a pissed off Lance, including the now infamous line, “Make me gag on your hard clock.” Then she went back to Twitter and said her roommate had stolen her phone the night before and posted the tweets about Lance and it was all a joke.
  4. Also, Jeremy Bravo is one thirsty ass motherfucker. Who is this guy? He’s supposedly running as an independent in the 31st Congressional District, but he spends more time tweeting about Fitlump and the District 6 city council race than he does about his own campaign. He retweets all her stuff and often comes to her defense when someone calls her out on her bullshit in the comments to her tweets.
  5. Give it up for Meredith! Lulz Not sure who is the bigger jackass on that stage, Fitlump or Allen West in his Texas flag polo and new cowboy hat. Cuz ya know, that’s what Texans look like. I bet he has a “I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could” sticker on his car too.
  6. I’m trying real hard to understand this post, Napoleon. Help me out here cuz I need some clarification. Are you saying that you wouldn’t have sex with Salma Hayek cuz she has weird knees? Or that you would have sex with Salma Hayek, but it probably wouldn’t be that great cuz she has weird knees? Is that what you mean? All I know is that if I ever end up in the same room with that Strat, I’m gonna do whatever it takes to have sex with it.
  7. Is that a double bound Custom Tele? 1960 was the first year of the Custom, and Fender didn’t make very many of them. If that guitar is all original, $8k is a steal!
  8. I haven’t played it enough to make a verdict, but here are my early impressions. It’s a really nice guitar. It feels good and I like the shape and length of it. I like the nitro finish. It’s pretty resonant unplugged, which I like. A lot of Jazzmasters need a neck shim in order to get the right string angle at the bridge which prevents strings from slipping in the saddles. I’ve read that Fender cut the neck pockets at a slight angle on this model, so no shim is needed. It’s set up well and plays well. Not sure yet how I feel about all the switches, knobs and the lead and rhythm circuits. I like simplicity. I don’t need six different tones out of a guitar. The other thing I’m coming to realize is that I don’t like new guitars. The pics of these old Strats aren’t helping. Edit to clarify: It’s not that I don’t like new guitars. I like this Jazzmaster. I’ve just gotten to where I prefer playing my older guitars. When I first got my 69 Tele, I thought I needed another Tele so I could save the wear and tear on the 69. I think I’ve owned four other newer Teles in the past couple years and ended up selling them all cuz I just prefer playing the 69.
  9. I can’t stop looking at it.
  10. I don’t even know what to say, Deej.
  11. That is a nice looking Squier II. I’ve owned a couple of these, one made in Korea and one made in India. Squier II bodies and pickguards are shaped slightly different than a standard Strat, in particular on the lower horn. And the screw holes are not the same. If you replace the pickguard with a standard Strat pickguard, you’ll need to drill a few new holes in the body and probably need to reshape the pickguard with a file to make it match the profile of your guitar. And the stock pickups might not fit exactly right in the pickguard. It can be done with some finessing. The Korean Squier II’s are closer to a standard Strat than the Indian version. Gold pickguards are available in anodized aluminum or plastic. The aluminum guards look great, but they are pricey and will be harder to reshape than a plastic one. Not trying to discourage you from modifying your guitar. Just letting you know what to expect if you do.
  12. Check out the Electrosocket replacement jack mounts. These are the upgrade to the original Fender design. These screw into the body instead of being held in place with a retainer clip. https://www.premierguitar.com/articles/22538-guitar-shop-101-upgrade-your-tele-with-an-electrosocket-jack-mount
  13. This guitar captures my attention and excites me. I understand the lust and agree. Any details on the body and neck on this beauty? I’ve been looking at MJT necks and bodies. Do not click on this link if relics offend you. https://www.mjtagedfinishes.com
  14. I’d like to hear more about this partscaster Strat. Partscasters, by their nature, are assembled according to the builder’s taste. And my preferences on Fenders are pretty specific so I rarely see a partscaster that I covet. That being said, I’ve considered going the partscaster route as I think about a Strat.
  15. That’s a 1993 Fender “Squier Series” Tele made at the Cort plant in South Korea. Korean Squiers were already being made by the late 80s I believe. But for a brief period before the Mexico plant was built in Ensenada, Fender branded some of their Korean guitars like this one with an actual Fender logo. Some people consider them Fenders, some people consider them Squiers. They used cheaper parts (bodies, pots, tuners, etc) than a “real” Fender, but they have a following and some guys love them. I’m not surprised this one is a player. The ones that have the silver Fender logo and a serial number starting with CN usually have full width plywood bodies. Usually black or white finish. Don’t see many in that color blue. The stock pickups in them should be cheap ceramics. Some guys “upgrade” them, others swear by them. Some guitars are just greater than the sum of their parts.
  16. More pr0n. I picked this up in a trade a few days ago. It’s a 2018 Classic 60th anniversary model. MIM. Limited edition with nitro finish and matching headstock. Still has the plastic on the pickguard. Gonna play it for a while, see how I like it.
  17. I’m mostly a rhythm guy as well, so I don’t need a super fast neck. I’ve come to realize the past few years that I prefer the thicker neck profiles of vintage and reissue style Fenders. I like the way that a C or soft V neck fills the palm of my hand. Chords feel more stable to me on a thicker neck than on a thinner modern style neck. This is all IMO and what works for me. I’ve bought and sold a number of Strats in my Craigslist dealings over the years but didn’t really connect with any of them to keep them. My favorites have been the MIM reissues. I’d like to try an American Vintage reissue. I’m not in a hurry, but I’ve been looking recently to add a Strat back into my collection.
  18. She was married to the kid’s dad. Pretty sure he’s had custody since they split which was before she showed up on TOS. She didn’t have much contact with the kid during the Romeo Rose era, but from her Twitter it looks like she has her on the weekends or at least some weekends now. I‘ve seen her ex. He brought the kid to see Lump’s big graduation speech from the Citizen’s Police Academy that I witnessed last year. He was sitting with the rest of the Lump clan including Lump’s mom and her cuck hubby. It was on a week night so the kid was with him.
  19. I just discovered Ram Jam a couple months ago. Am I late to the Ram Jam party? Never heard of them before, but this video kept popping up in my YouTube feed so I finally clicked on it and ended up going down a Ram Jam rabbit hole. Didn’t notice until now that the long hair on the left isn’t playing anything. He just claps and dances in front of a Marshall, does a little spin once in a while. That’ll be me at the Surly Jam.
  20. He could just be looking for IG follows... But the Kamari smoke could be real. Here’s an article from a few days ago (before Ewers’ commitment) where Texas is mentioned as a leader. Valai putting in work.
  21. It’s a two week delay. If he got arrested yesterday, the mugshot will be released on 08/26.
  22. Might not be documented on this thread, but she also wants to lock up the dirty homeless people who are giving each other haircuts and barbecuing on public roadways.
  23. Totally in. The old APD booking thread at TOS was what brought me to that site and introduced me to the weird wacky world that is Surly. Thanks Mitch! p.s. I scrolled through the 29 pages of available mugshots (July 8-22) and spotted a few familiar faces including Dirty Vegas (Richard DiGiacomo).
  24. New statement from Perry’s lawyers...
  25. The Austin Acoustics. You can see a bunch pics of a mini-camp they had here: http://www.texreview.com/2016/01/austin-acoustics-mini-camp-for-legends.html And one pic of FitLump...
