  1. Agreed. No pads and all that, but he blew by the poor DBs. Now, those DBs may not have the stellar offer list Cain has...
  2. I agree our WRs should be open, but if our OL can’t learn to pick up twists and stunts, it won’t matter if we have Julio Jones.
  3. Why can’t this fate befall OU or Ohio State?
  4. So.... you want everyone to cut the cheese?
  5. I’m glad we offered. I doubt we get him, but I will check and see if our offer helped us at all.
  6. I see your point, but by the same logic, would hiring a guy who coaches in the secondary and would be covered by your DC, who also coaches in the secondary, not be worth it If it meant bringing in a 5* recruit (Ringo) who could help you short term? seems like the short term benefit would cover any risk. I think he’d be decent at coaching fundamentals, but I have no basis for that assumption other than his success on the field.
  7. I wonder if Bryant Westbrook would be too much of a reach at this level.
  8. It is if the good life is playing video games on a beanbag chair in a cheap apartment and sleeping on the floor.
  9. Too long. Didn’t read. Went straight to Ohio State and saw that you left off JK Dobbins. All I needed to see.
  10. You don’t know what you’re talking about. Talent is not the issue. Coaching and development are the issues. Our best players leave the state/conference. Ohio State has looted us. Bama and LSU have looted us. Georgia is looting us. We and atm get talent and squander it. Half the NFL is led by QBs from the state of Texas. The premise of your argument is flawed. Texas is absolutely fertile recruiting ground, and Urban knows it, whether you do or not.
  11. Check the Ohio State roster. Check the last two Heisman winners and the last three OU QBs. See what Matt Rhule is doing with the Texas leftovers. Urban Meyer is well aware of the Texas high school talent. He’s been stealing it for years. So has OU. I’m sure he knows what that talent would do if it were concentrated in its own state and actually coached properly. Same goes for USC.
  12. Because Norman sucks ass and Oklahoma isn’t the fertile recruiting ground that Texas and California are.
  13. I’m going to go out on a limb and guess, based on the fact that they’re all defensive players, that our defensive performance/ineptitude has something to do with it.
  14. To be fair, we are the only team with a pulse OU has played, and we’re one of two live teams LSU has played. I’d hope our defense, with our talent, could fare better than the other garbage OU and LSU have played.
  15. As far as the band and opposing fans’ seats, yes, we always do that. Our AD has done that since being at TCU (where he actually did it to us). He wants our fans closer to the field. Why give good seats to opponents, especially when the opponents are inbred, swamp-dwelling liars? As far as the cheer leaders, this is the first I’ve heard of it. Did the wife-beating halfwit make that up, too?
  16. Somewhere, we have a mutual friend named Even Stephen.
  17. At the risk of starting another geography discussion, what about Mizzou being somehow stuck in the East Division? That travel budget has to be astronomical.
  18. Fuck, man. I had to drive to Oklahoma from the south side of the metroplex, at rush hour, on a Friday. I found out one of my best friends, and a poster on this board, may have to have open heart surgery. I thought the shitty part of my evening was over. And then I opened this thread. Fucking Stanco... I guess bad things really do happen in threes.
  19. Bryant Westbrook being his position coach can’t hurt.
