  1. McClellan looked amazing in the state title game. So did Grey. The holes were huge for both, but McClellan had a lot of yards after contact. I see your point, though.
  2. I think shitting yourself during a marathon is pretty standard. One of many reasons you shouldn’t do it, not to mention the first guy who tried it died.
  3. How about sit-ups? Putting your face right where you shat. In this case, the dude was running 100s, and he ran at least a dozen with shit all over himself. Filled his socks. It was gross. Can you imagine the chafing?
  4. Man, he’s looking great in Knoxville, but so did we early in his time at Texas. You can’t deny we had gotten very mediocre by the end of his tenure, though. I’m glad he’s doing well at Tennessee, but it was time for a change. We’ll see how long his success lasts at TN.
  5. I agree that Yancy has made a huge difference, and I acknowledge that Moffitt is probably the best in the business, but if Burton thinks Moffitt is a friendly, encouraging coach, he’s a fucking idiot. Moffitt screams at, belittles and mother-fucks his players all the time. He’s an intimidating mother fucker. He made one kid continue running after the kid had shit all over himself. Technically, I suppose the kid could’ve quit running, but he was afraid of the repercussions. But Moffitt’s methods do produce accountability and unity among the players.
  6. Because I never make my connecting flights. Never. The airport itself is fine, I guess. Haven’t really seen much of it because I’m usually at a full sprint when I’m passing through.
  7. I fucking despise the ATL airport.
  8. I was at Pearl Harbor on Monday, where I read those exact words.
  9. That’s outstanding. Roll him to the juicer.
  10. Damn! That’s, uh... that’s pretty freaking good.
  11. That cool/warm label is all fucked up. I’ve seen guys who are openly declaring one school or another to be their favorites and then those schools are listed as “cool” on the recruiting profiles. It’s not always accurate. So he may actually be cool on aggy, or the thing may be fucked.
  12. Understood. Not panicking. Even if he were to go there, it wouldn’t be the end of the world. I just noticed it and it was really the only thing that bothered me about the list. That’s it.
  13. I wonder the same thing. That would be super. I also wonder how secure OU feels about McClellan’s commitment.
  14. I can accept it. I don’t have to like it. Two 5* RBs would suck. A lot of focus is on DBs predicted to go to aggy. My point is just that we don’t play aggy; we play OU, and no one seemed to notice their being predicted to get a second 5* back.
  15. I’m a little unsettled by the Robinson prediction to OU. We actually have to play them, and that would give them two 5* RBs to go with their receiving haul from 2019.
  16. I’ll back your JFF comparison. I think the style is very comparable. And Johnny played at Tivy, which doesn’t exactly face the cream of the crop in high school competition. Whether or not Stone’s style will transfer to college, I have no idea. He throws off his back foot a ton. He throws across his body a ton. He’s playing against mostly small/slow defenses. A few of the plays he makes in high school will probably be sacks or picks in college, unless he has a Mike Evans to throw to, which he may. But scrambling out of trouble and making plays is exactly what JFF did. And the film shows that Stone has the better arm.
  17. I can tell you why he left his job in Chicago. John Foxx. As far as why he hasn’t gone back? Best I can do is guess it’s because there are only 32 spots, and most are taken.
  18. Yeah, I think conventional wisdom is that 6’8”, maybe 6’9”, is where height goes from being beneficial to detrimental in football. It’s just hard to protect knees. I guess a kid who’s athletic enough and strong enough in his lower body could be successful. He’s just an injury away from sacrificing a potential basketball career.
  19. There’s another 6’7” kid out of Grandview in the 2021 class who’s kind of in the same boat. He’s playing DE and some TE/WR. Caught the last TD in the state title game. I work with his dad. His last name is Crownover. Not sure how hard we’re looking at him, but he already has a few offers. Okie light is the most recent I can think of. He loves football first, but he’s 6’7” as a sophomore and his grandfather is 7’. Hard to play football at that height. Daddy was a DT at Baylor in the early 90s, I think.
  20. Whoever that coach Viney is seemed pretty butt hurt.
