  1. SIAP: Penix is a bitch. Take the loss, pussy. https://247sports.com/college/michigan/LongFormArticle/washington-qb-michael-penix-jr-describes-losing-effort-against-michigan-defense-we-beat-ourselves-224954609/
  2. That was part of the decimation.
  3. Poor Oregon State has been absolutely decimated since being left behind.
  4. This is why you’re still in the mail room, Glen.
  5. Oh, I read the name of the reporter. Glass houses…
  6. Damn, thought he might come back next year.
  7. I think the issue since 2013 has been talent development. The players might have been rated properly out of high school but under-developed. It says a lot when they flounder in college but then get to the league and succeed. That tells you the talent was wasted in college and the kid probably lost money because of it. We collected talent based on our old productivity, and then we squandered it. We used to develop talent. Mike Huff was a 3⭐️. I think Cedrick Griffin was either a 3⭐️ or low 4⭐️. Michael Griffin was a high school running back. Again, I’m not promoting Akina as a new secondary coach. I’m just saying he set a baseline that we haven’t met since he left. It would be nice to have someone who taught fundamentals in the secondary again. I do agree that the talent has tapered off in recent years. I don’t expect many of the guys transferring out to have successful pro careers.
  8. I figured they wanted him for their hall of champions to absorb some of the echo.
  9. The question was asked, and I answered it. I’m pretty sure he didn’t have the talent at any other stops, though. I’m not advocating making him the corners coach, but I’m not saying it wouldn’t work, either. He won’t recruit, so that would be a huge problem. I do believe he’d be a huge upgrade for development, though. Coverage principles don’t change. Saban is old AF and still coaches up DBs. Our DBs have pretty questionable technique right now. I think he’d be a great hire as an analyst. Maybe he can teach Terry Joseph some things.
  10. G-Rob was a boss. I give him more credit for the 05 championship defense than I do Chizik.
  11. What's everyone's infatuation with Akina coming back here...I just don't get it. He has skins on the wall. He coaches technique. He teaches guys how to study film. He is the reason we were DBU at one time.
  12. Underrated post.
  13. If only someone had said that to his father just prior to climax.
  14. He’s attacking a FEMALE judge. (Plus, his jumping over the bench triggered my PTSD from a 2001 traumatic event…) Dude oozes that OUDNA.
  15. Re: Kern, Fletch can explain:
  16. None of this excuses what your fan base has done or who they are. I’m so glad you’re my enemy. You are collectively worthy of disdain. This is what happens when people have literally nothing to live for without sports. It does not get more insecure or pathetic. I do know some OU fans who are ashamed. There aren’t nearly enough of them, though.
  17. Or maybe that hit destroyed his short-term memory and he really HAS forgotten Quan, explaining why he treats Quan like a total stranger.
  18. Why the need to call Pete out? Pot-stirring mother fucker... Truthfully, I have missed any rants Pete has gone on in defense of Moffitt, but I know why Pete is defensive of him, and Pete and I will always see eye to eye on that subject. We are in the unique position of knowing exactly how the LSU strength program was run under Moffitt AND exactly how the UT strength program was run under Mad Dog and that worthless turd Wylie. And having that knowledge made it crystal clear as to how we (Texas) were able to squander such talented teams under Mack while LSU was able to win championships with a vegetable as head coach and a scrub playing QB (in 03 and 07). It has taught me the value of a strength coach, and it has shaped my opinions on not only S&C philosophies, but the implementation of those philosophies. For instance, I think Mad Dog knew how to put a training program together, but I think he fell extremely short in demanding accountability from the players. Wylie is just a narcissist who found a job that let him work out on the clock. He’s a moron. I disagree with Moffitt as to the caliber of the other coaches at atm, but I do believe Moffitt is the type of guy you hire if you need a culture change. In the day of the transfer portal, maybe his approach wont work as well, but until I see otherwise, I will praise that one hire as a good one. All that said, I’m not predicting atm to make a huge turnaround. S&C can only fix so much. At least LSU had good football assistants.
