  1. Wishful thinking, but Evans did cancel his visit to Clemson, his brother is having a heckuva a go at aggy on social media, and BC did put out a tweet about "scheming".
  2. It was really Mookie Cooper's glowing reviews of Austin and the program that got Marcus Washington even thinking about Texas. Hard for me to imagine we can't eventually close the deal with him. I'm actually hopeful that might happen this weekend.
  3. The NCAA should just approve a one-time transfer, no questions and no limitations, per student athlete and call it good.
  4. Composite ranking: 3rd overall and 4th in avg ranking per recruit (Bama, UGa, tOSU)
  5. Ole Miss and Arky appear to be the main competition at this point. That's after being committed to Tenn. It's a fairly logical assessment that he might like the SEC.
  6. I think the general idea is he's dead set on being a WR full time. If we want to roll him in on situational pass rushing situations, fair enough, it's more time on the field without getting crazy. But playing WR was always going to be the requirement.
  7. Don't see how there'd be any time for that, not to mention Tenn wasn't anywhere on his list of potential schools previously.
  8. Agreed. And Whittington is going to be more of an APB, at least initially.
  9. If there's a sleeper in this class it has to be him. Give him a year or two with McKnight and he's going to be a monster at TE.
  10. Summed it up quite nicely. I could care less what other fan bases or specific recruits have to say or think about Texas. TH and this staff aren't perfect, but they have the ship headed in the right direction playing the kind of ball that will compete on a national level. We're not all the way there yet, but definitely on the right trajectory and everyone knows it at this point. Those who get that are the one's we want in the program. Those who don't can lather themselves up about whatever the want and line up on the opposing side.
  11. If Demas was somehow offended by some good natured ribbing, well, bye. Need way thicker skin than that. And quite honestly, it's the attitude of "screw what everyone thinks, we're going to prove we're tougher and more physical as we whip your a$$" exuded by the team in the Sugar Bowl that will carry over into next season and beyond. If Demas isn't about that type of attitude it's best to find out now and focus efforts elsewhere.
  12. That he has. If it put off a recruit, so be it.
  13. Today is the 20th. It was from this morning.
  14. One of the many, many reasons we need to be recruiting nationally. If a Texas kid is offended and some reality talk re: SEC and/or A$M, that's on them. Plenty of talented players across the country that recognize the trajectory of the program and significance of beating both OU and UGa this year.
  15. Has he taken an OV here? For some reason I thought that was supposed to be this past weekend, but clearly that wasn't the case.
  16. If the grand transfer market and the newly adopted transfer portal have demonstrated one thing, it's that smart coaches/programs will put in legitimate personnel departments. I know we're light years ahead of where we were during the Mack/CS era's... but not completely sure we're where we need to be just yet. This off-season is going to be fascinating on that front. Play our cards right and we have the opportunity to load the roster from top to bottom with balanced, experienced talent.
  17. Great news. The outlook on OL recruiting in 2020 is looking pretty good at the moment.
  18. It's just a general idea of the level of talent on board and in the pipeline. It's more than clear the staff does their own evals and they're pretty good at it.
  19. C. Sterns - .9886 BJ Foster - .9865 D. Overshown - .9737 T. Owens - .9206 (probably going higher) C. Admiora - .9191 Prospects: Chris Thompson & Darius Snow both in the .9500 range Jordan Moore - .9143 The smart move is to pass and save the 'ship for a 2020 recruit. But who knows what's going on behind the scenes.
  20. Didn't he state part of the reason for the transfer was to make it easier on his mother to see them both play? Houston and definitely Oregon don't offer that. I have no inside info, but it's either a very curious move or he already has it greased to play here.
  21. A bit of a curious move for Jordan to hit the transfer portal if he didn't already have something sorted out with Texas.
