I think we’ll be seeing a lot more of this in the near future.

So if BYU and Alabama gets blown out, do we have any chance of getting in?
BYU just needs to lose. Bama gets blown out, we have a shot. Both happen, we're in.
The SEC may also have discussed with CFP committee that it would not object hugely if Ole Miss gets dumped because HC, OC and staff all gone... you know, so the kids wouldn't get embarrased (citing FSU precedent).
Listen close - Fat Lady's warming up in her dressing room, ghastly scales zooming up and down. Get ready...

If, after all of this, Sark does jump to the NFL, UT's going to be in a world of hurt after the insane coaching carousel. No one left.

This reads like Kiffin is in the perfect place for the "scholar athletes" he likes to recruit.

He meant "per player"... but you're right, that's still light.

But the NCAA isn't gonna do that.
NCAA and CFP are different organizations. The problem is the direct relationship between CFP and ND, but it looks like the NCAA doesn't have a say in it - it's conferences and ND (not sure about other independents, if there still are any).

All of college football needs to stop scheduling ND until they fucking join a conference.
Nah... adjust CFP guidelines to exclude Independents.
Problem solved.

Pussy is undefeated, but even Bill in his prime would have punted this bitch to the curb long before it had came to this.
I choose to believe that Bill is aware that Life Its Own Self is visiting upon him a Karma Rebalance of epic proportions, to make up for having Tom Brady create the myth of the indestructable Coach Belichick for him. He is not happy about it, but he understands the futility of fighting against it... and there are certain benefits attached to the process.

...We got fucked by the human polls because people are idiots.
We got fucked because our own conference coaches diddled the rankings, and because Bob Stoops is smarter than Mack - Bob ran up 7 or 8 TDs in every single game, while Mack let the opponents off the hook. We also got fucked because Mack's brilliant game plan put us in a 19-0 hole in Lubbock before we ever scored, including sticking with The Script and handing the ball on basically a draw, to our 250-lb running back standing stock-still seven yards deep in our end zone for a highly-predictable safety.

Cam rambles a lot on his show (to fill time, I believe), but he has solid takes and football knowledge.
Cam loses credibility by routinely appearing in outfits that seem to have been created for him by L'Oreal's even less discerning little sister.

The best path for us is for committee members to recognize that Texas is the premier team for them to monetize more eyeballs.

If he gets fired, it'll be "for cause", but probably kept internal and promulgated as "mutually agreed". He'd get a few million to help him get by and keep his mouth shut.
He's busting his ass trying to MackBrown his way into the
Rose BowlCFP. Maybe he can do it, and more power to him.-

Life experience. You wouldn't believe the trouble you can get in by removing the wooden micro-pallet from the bottom of the mini-fridge in your hotel room and leveling the damn thing so you can actually hear yourself think.

No, like he said, y'all are both right.
You handle your business against the teams you're supposed to, you're in. True
You don't go on the road the first game of the season against a top 2 team in the country that you understandably lose to, you're probably in.
There's a whole sloppy thread about how to get into the Group of Twelve with three losses. Yes, it's possible, albeit with extremely low probability.
The point here is being ready to play after - let's see: 8 months, two weeks, and two weeks - of time to actually get ready. We weren't, all three times.
The stories of personal problems, rehab(s), benders would seem to explain the lack of preparation. If true, it seems entirely reasonable to suppose that CDC has kompromat on Sarkisian sufficient to cover "for cause" firing, if it comes to that.
My thought is that Del Conte believes reasonably-sober Steve can helm a winning program, and that he believes Steve can manage his problems. I agree that it's possible, and I think CDC and Sark have had that come-to-Jesus talk, and that it led to a list of achievements required... what we're seeing right now, with Sark advocating tirelessly for that CFP slot, is the result of that meeting and those trquirements.
Here's hoping it all works out for all concerned... including us.

You're the one that said "X" is the problem. It's not that simple, which is what we're all pointing out to you.
It's exactly that simple. Getting into the show with three losses is only possible in extremely rare circumstances, which, as it happened, didn't occur. Not losing the third game, and especially to Florida is the way in. Substituting someone else for Florida is pointless, but you just keep on pointing.
