SEC shenanigans seem geared towards protecting the top ranked teams to ensure post season participation. Rig 12 shenanigans were just based on hating Texas

Wasn't the tOSU game reffed by SEC? We got out-penaltied something like 8-2 IIRC. Seems shenaniganish.

The 2 point conversion that wasn't was pretty blatant.  You have to wonder if these guys are on the take sometimes.

You only "have to wonder" if you still believe in the Tooth Fairy.

That's not what happened here. It was very clearly trying to get to the gambling line. It's clear to anyone with eyes what was happening.

How many $$$ were on Texas -3.5?  I reckon a substantial amount of them.

    SEC needs playoff spots.

Expect massive fuckery in Athens if it's a close game next week.

    This. Well, and that, too.

Remember, this half-year of pageantry represents billions of dollars sloshing around... and it's pure entertainment... and most importantly it's scripted.

The script is basically Improv, but there are limitations sculpting the results.

Keep watching, though, and keep your subscriptions and betting lines up to date.

  3. Assuming we stick with what we've seen lately that actually works, and that UGa is who they appear to be so far, I feel pretty good about this game. Need to include freedom from practice injuries, of course... but right now, it kinda smells like 2023 Bama in T-town.

    Can't wait.

Pro tip, living at the bottom of a deep hollar in remote Tennessee is bad for free TV viewing.

Living a mile high 150 miles from the nearest broadcast antenna doesn't work all that well, either.

  5. If Sexton & Co. aren't the source of the NFL story, who could it be?

Surely not some guy who got fired here, drifted a while, got on elsewhere, then got fired there as well, replaced by an NFL coach... and moved back here? Guy like that, he'd be a terrific interim - and who knows, maybe a few more years... maybe even coach a few more wins and pass up Saint Darrell?

No, the wardrobe is what's weird.  Let's not play the flip it back for-pretend game.

I'd bet the number of Surlys who, if their wives brought that outfit to them, would put that shit on and parade in public would be vanishingly small. I suspect it wouldn't even matter if she was super hot and a monster in the sack. Maybe the turndown would be more polite than mine would be, but still...

  7. Tearjerker Strong, damn.

Be fair, though... when you run into a guy who can't remember his #1 guy's name, or his own zip code, seems like you might want to start looking for a replacement, pronto.

My favorite zip code story concerns the fella who moved to Pasadena and came up with a quick mnemonic to remember his new zip code. His kid asked what it was, and he replied "Nine-one? Oh, one-one" in a pleased manner. Kid said "Fuck, dad, it's nine, ten, eleven!"
