Miz Long noticed this game and was surprised to see a "bowl" featuring Northwestern and - checks notes - Central Meatchicken. She has a niece who's a Northwestern alumna but was not aware that they have a football team. She asked me to put some perspective on it, but the best I could come up with was Rice v. Tarleton State... I don't think that's too far off.

B1G (18) and SEC (16) are probably already looking at too many member for a potential mega merger, assuming a 32 member “league” like the NFL. So hope for 36 or be prepared to be part of the other league (BIG12 (16) and ACC (18)) when the music stops. Or pray for ultimate chaos and a complete collapse of the conferences as we know them
Conferences have already collapsed. Media controls the shambles that are left. The only thing that makes sense is for schools to separate D1A football from the rest of their "athletic" programs. Other sports may follow, but there's no urgent demand for that just yet.

"A Perineal .500" is a pretty good motto.
Miz Long all over me on this thread... as a Drama major at Texas, she has a lifelong eye for words, and pointed out that my new motto here is easier to say and just as relevant:
"Half tainted"
I personally would rather go with "Half ass", but it lacks elegance as well as overall accuracy.

Actually, it is.
"Music" means "of the Muses", and the Muses are the goddesses of poetry. The words are the point, and instrumental accompaniment is supportive... the real performers are vocalists.
Greek word for poetry is "musika" (latin alphabet).

Texas RB Talk
in Football
It's too bad the HC was too busy babysitting PK to tell the OC to get on his RB coach and get Gibson some touches... bet the OC had a playset for Gibson. Townsend seems like a prospect for those max-pro sets with RB lining looking like a blocker.
