I’m shocked they didn’t have Coach O take him alligator hunting in the swamp and he’s never heard from again.
This particular show is far from over. The Fat Lady not only hasn't sung yet, she isn't even in the building.

Sure. But no one likes to pay a fraud to go away. Committing fraud and wining Championships by fraud are badass. bk was a dick, didn’t fit in, didn’t really party, didn’t win shit. I’ve said plenty about sark but we have Big 12 championship to stick it to our ungrateful left behinds, two playoff appearances and a SEC CCG games. BK got beat by aggy and his team quit on him. Not wanting to pay him seems logical to all of us
them.More accurate?

The only way Sark is out at Texas is if there is a mutual agreement to part ways. CDC doesn’t want the bad publicity from firing Sark unless there is concrete evidence Sark majorly fucked up, not all of this hearsay stuff that is gaining traction.
Which is what I said... I thought...
Everyone likes to say how great CDC is but he hasn’t even been the Texas AD for a decade and we’re already on our 3rd basketball coach, our 2nd baseball coach, and there are rumors flying around our football coach and his wife are using the team and it’s family members as a sexual buffet. But good job by CDC for getting rid of the jet pack guy and Bob Cole.
Dammit, you're right. We'll be looking for the Fire CDC thread.

Would be a huge paycut but maybe we could supplement the difference? UCLA is low pressure
If Steve does depart will-he nill-he, there isn't going to be a massive buyout, but the Mutually Acceptable Preservation of our Good Name parting agreement will fund a couple of years' rent on her Casa Loreal.

To equate Sark today with UW Sark, you have to pretty uncritically accept all the rumors.
Nicole cued me in on her source and info a while back (Loreal being a whore, basically) and I'll admit it's credible enough to be true, but is still unverified as is most of the other shit spewed on this thread.
Wait just a damned minnit, trooper. Are you saying this isn't who steve sarkisian is?

Sark's fashionista wife ain't happy in ATX, so he'll take a job in Tuscaloosa?
Unlikely
UCLA more likely.
Didn't Loreal spend a few divorce months house shopping in LA?

Brilliant move on the part of Sark and Co. got everyone talking about the mythical jump to a non existent NFL team, Des was in on it the whole damned time.
Guess what national media isn’t talking about? Shitty performance and off the field bullshit. He just bought his ass 11 more seasons of sideline squats.Edit for accuracy.

I'm honestly surprised every day that goes by that some big(s) of ours hasn't had Bohwels disappeared into a swamp somewhere. Dude has got to go.
You've spelt Sark incorrectly.
Although. there's no good reason why not both...

Funny thing, at 7-3, Sark is actually ahead of his overall record, which is around .620, I think. How much better should we expect?

He also said they practiced against onside kicks in preparation for the Georgia game. I’ll take actions over words.
You practice receiving onside kicks with the hands team. You put them on the field when you expect onside kick coming. There was no situational need for onside, it was Kirby Smart actually coaching. The hands team was not on the field. The regular receiving team looked like it had never even heard of or seen an onside kick, which wouldn't surprise any of us.

I think I already said, and might've typed, this - but I don't always post what I write, so I'll do it again.
What seems to explain most if not all of the fuckery we're wading through lately is that Del Conte has everything he needs to fire Sarkisian “for cause”, but he's a whole lot more interested in fixing the problems than in skewering Sark.
If Sark can be convinced to make necessary changes in both his personal life and in his coaching, he'll get another year to show up. We can argue all we want about what changes and whether he is both willing and able to do them. Don't care, had MensaTom and Coach Potatohead.
On the other hand, if Sark won't derectify his head, he'll be let go... preferably gracefully, if possible, but there's a definite possibility he won't go quietly, and shit is flung in all directions.
Some of us seem to want to watch the flaming fudge nugget dingdongs arching majestically across the skies, and the sooner the better. But I believe that Del Conte will do his best to keep things calm and professional, and that means “The University of Texas and Coach Sarkisian have mutually-decided to part ways.”
I think this last outcome is best for all concerned, although we may be waiting until post-aggy to see it.

If we had prepared for that play...
I'd bet we did. But preparing to receive an on-side kickoff involves a different set of personnel, the 'hands team'. They're in when the kicking team is in desperation mode... behind and short clock. The regular kickoff receiving team is not gonna be practicing on-side, and aren't going to be looking for it.
UGa likely had at least a couple of ringers on that kickoff group (and for the fake punt/FG groups, too) and an alert ST coach mighta noticed that and called timeout... or maybe an HC who wasn't busy being OC and planning his next playset.
Sarkisian said he expected Smart to run a trick on a kick play, but nobody expects the unexpected, do they?
-
The extension makes at least some sense from the viewpoint that you're hoping to get things fixed so you demonstrate good PR belief in Coach, and at the same time you know you've got the "for cause" clause covered so there's no real issue with the buyout. Give him the year with Arch and if he gets his life problems under control, it's all good.
The timing is bad for everybody, mainly because of the idiotic idea of signing while the playoffs and bowls are still going on.

These people have no idea that a giant shit cloud is coming…
I mind that time I's about halfway between Andrews and Seminole, just boppin' along, minding my own business. Sky turned red, sounded like half a siren, wall of red dirt slammed into me like a train. Got spun around, off the highway in decent shape, shut her down and commenced to waiting. Probably fifteen minutes of sand-blasting, scoured the shit oughta paint on the right side of the truck. Got down to just blowin' dirt, got back on the road.
I was thinking whatever is going on, home and office, with the Sarkisians, is somewhere in there.

I think she ran track at USC while Sark was there. Saw a reference to North Carolina, but...
