Great job, great result.

3 1/2 safeties works: 12-10 works.
No mercy.
-
Three safeties. 12-10. Watch this.
-
Four safeties and a dominant D, we win 11-10.

Yeah, same here. Why is she wearing that skirt sideways?

Watching Ioway and Nebarska in the blowing sleety snow. Good game for the first half, anyway.
Seeing Holgorsen working with Neb QB, it occurs to me that Sark needs to go the same route, leave HC job and get back to purely offense. Kiffin could probably use some help at LSU...

And Navy finished in the top 10 in '41, '43, '44 and '45.
And '63, when Roger took them to #2.
They almost certainly would have been #1, except they managed to lose to SMU, on the same field where we handeed them one of the worst physical beatings I ever witnessed.

Agree with Wingo as more decoy than target - Mosley and Livingstone need to get the ball more.
Arky came within a FG of aggy, there's room for the world's greatest offensive mind to get over that.

Best job is fired HFC , second best job is their legal teams
Nah. Best job is Coaches' Agent. Get paid by errybody, just set up a few interviews here and there and deposit those checks.

If only Chris had done that. He'd have a pair of glasses and still be our coach
I suspect most of us, at some point in our lives, have had a female companion with an excessive need for attention, often exacerbated by slight over-indulgence in alcohol. What is needed is a place of her own, preferably with a lock on the outside. Failing that, we have to be able to restrain an occasional physical attack without undue force. Unfortunately for some of us, we may find ourselves in a likewise state of slight over-indulgence, and if our companion is a large, strong person, we may encounter an exchange of bruises, scrapes, and scratches.
Honestly, I believe his initial statement was probably pretty damned close to the truth, namely that he was reading something, she demanded attention, he failed to respond and kept reading, she snatched (so to speak) his reading glasses from his face and broke them, which pushed him over the edge, A few slaps were exchanged, she called 911 (often a Bad Idea absent a life-and-death situation). One of the responding officers told her they could arrest him if she was - oh, I dunno, being strangled? She went with that, the cops pretended to believe it, and here we are.
I still feel that Beard could have salvaged things by apologizing most sincerelyto Randi, the fans, his players, the school... errybody. And then seeking and performing anger management training.
But he didn't.
And here we are.

Yeah, I wasn't kidding! Palo Alto real estate is fucking looney.
Yep. Friend of mine was nuclear power engineer at Bechtel for many years. Recently sold the little house in Palo Alto that he paid $12,000 for back in 70s, got $1,200,000 for it. He's happily retired in what he called"horse country" (wherever that is)...

It's fun to wade hip-deep through the argumentation. No doubt about it.
The best part is that it'll never stop as long as the Beauty Contest System continues.
Two teams? You're fucked because you're third most beautiful, biggest cup size, least knobby knees... whatever.
Four teams? Fucked at fifth. Twelve teams? Left out at thirteenth.
Let errybody in, at 128 teams. That's seven weeks of playoffs and nobody gets left out.

We never eat cookies, because they have yeast. One little bite turns a man to a beast. Oh, can you imagine a greater disgrace than a man in the gutter, with crumbs on his face?

After due consideration of Miss Jordon's role in the life of Coach Belichick, I have come to the belief that she is a MOSSAD spy in training, in thid case on-the-job training. She should be moving into control of his assets before too long.

it can really only work when the HC wants it to , often why the HC's non specialty side is the one with the stronger coordinator
Yep.
The problem we have with Pheven-win Phteve is that he won't let it happen. As far as I've noticed, without looking it all up, the HC with offensive-side specialization is less likely to grab the brass ring than is the HC who came up on the defensive side. Not impossible, mind you, but less likely.
-
The HC-OC relationship is - or should be - that HC determines strategy and OC determines tactics to implement the offensive strategy. The HC should offer ideas to the OC, but not dictate. Sark not likely to do that.

Short while back, LT was mentioned as the highest paid NFL position. That says a lot, including importance and scarcity. We've done well there lately.

Lane Kiffin to LSU?

This is not entirely true. It sounds good, but it's wrong. I - and I think most of us - have paid for things and not gotten them.
Tex Long's First Rule of Finance is "You don't get what you don't pay for."
Like the original version, it's not universally so, because sometimes you do get what you do or don't pay for... but the far greater occurrence is ... "Nah, you ain't gettin' it."
Thinking that you'll definitely get what you pay for... Bad Idea™.
