  1. Having a mansplaining session with Miz Long this afternoon, on when holding is or is not called in football. Included the difference between holding by offense versus by defense, then devolved into (a) why refs call or not (mostly depending on what Louie and Fingers tell them the Boss wants), and (b) why hold in the first place. Having gotten through that, more or less, she asked how the coaches could break the holding habit of their players. Practice scrums with actual refs, sure, okay... but... Here's her (almost) random thought: like those dog-training shock collars, why not shock jocks? What? Well, if you get a jolt in the balls any time you hold, wouldn't that train you? Finding it hard to disagree that it might just work.
  2. Leach went to Pepperdine for Law School, I think. BYU for undergrad. Religious nuts errywhere?
  3. Here's a bit for Otto Korekt testing... wrote it prolly twenty+ years ago when he first started showing up. "These wards is awl spilled rite, eye no. Mi spilling chicken tolled may sew."
  4. I fucking hate Otto Korekt. +REP for "autocorrelated" though...
  5. Assuming "ain't that traded" means shitty, you're innumerate and/or ungamblifying. ATS bets are pretty much all 11-10 and they show that as -110, meaning you win $100 or lose $110. At that level 53% is your breakeven. You get to 62%? You can go ahead and quit your day job.
  6. What if I told you the play on defense was if Tech got a completion, hold the receiver up, don't tackle him and don't let him get out of bounds... let the clock run out. We had a 1-point lead, Tech had a timeout left and a FG would win it for them. After all, their kicker was a student who had won a contest the Pirate held to find someone, anyone, who could actually kick a field goal. It's too bad it didn't end that way (would rather we win, but...) because Tech would have had REAL Twelfth Man to shove in aggy's face. Make no mistake, that game was not lost by Blake Gideon or by the Crabtree catch, it was lost by Mack Brown on our first few possessions, insisting on following his script regardless of personnel, score or even field position. We opened up with what looked like a draw, with the ball on our own goal line - around the 2 - and handing the ball to a running back standing still 7 or 8 yards in the end zone. Safety, duh. Gave up 2 points on our first play. We were down 19-0 before we put up a single point, and buried at the half 22-6. I know this is the Arch thread, but one more thing needs to be said: Fuck Mack Brown
  7. Well, hell... if Kirby's afraid of him, we're in the driver's seat, right? Right? C'mon, Sark... tell me that's right?
  8. Guy's sitting in his cave, minding his own business. Hears noise in the bedroom. Goes to see what's up. Wife's got big suitcase on the bed, tossing clothes in it. He: What're you doing, babe? She: Packing up. He: Where you going? She: New York. He: WTF! Why? She: Facebook says prostitutes get paid $250. All they do is what I do for you, for free! He grabs his suitcase, starts throwing stuff in it. She: Where are you going? He: I'm going with you... I want to see how you're going to live on $500 a year.
  9. What's up with all this football talk? Where'd the stiletto heels go?
  10. That kid grew up and wrote some of the best stories ever printed in Playboy. I hear. And his mom was hot.
  11. You've left out the "n" and added "rtifici" for no discernible reason. I'm inclined to assume a small stroke or perhaps a cat or dog on the keyboard. I might be willing to suppose you were just getting frisky with a sheep.

Damn - accidentally put this one in trivial, but to me it's not. First time in 7 or 8 years I hit the semiannual skin cancer quacking and got a zero... no surgery for at least another half year. Yippee kai yay, motherfuckers.

  14. Nobody has suggested Arch should run it again and again. The fact is, last two games, Arch came in for one play, and ran it. 2nd and 5 is good. Why take him right back out? Apparently Sarkisian sees something in Ewers that Arch can't do. As in, he believes that Quinn gives us a better chance to win for that reason. I don't know what that reason is or likely would be - do you?
  15. I don't believe he's saving any secret plays. I don't understand the point of using Manning for nothing but a quick five yards running. Or a fake to make the oppo burn a timeout. Maybe it's just showing errybody including future recruits/xfers his loyalty to a player and attempting to get him to the NFL and the bigger payday - and I think that's pretty much a Good Thing™, just not at the expense of the team winning.

The issue is not so much your State, it currently boils down to buying a gun and failing to disclose drug use when you fill out that fed form. If you tell the truth, you're not getting a gun; if you don't, you've perjured. Ask Hunter Biden, that's one of the get out of jail free cards his daddy just handed him. We all need to be aware that government agencies do, in fact, have access to pertinent information. If they can't get it in "legal" ways, it can't be used in court. But be sure they have it. For example, your internet (including phone) use is widely surveilled and available. If something suspicious is encountered, a simple "confidential informant" message is enough pc for a warrant, court order, etc. to see your hipaa info. Is it routine? No, but it's there. Back to the intial part: you go buy a gun, fill out the fed form and leave off your use of whatever drugs they're asking about these days, you just committed a crime, and if they wantcha, they gotcha. Just for googgles, I checked on "under what circumstances can law enforcement obtain hipaa records", and here's the top, AI, reply. Law enforcement can obtain protected health information (PHI) under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) in a number of circumstances, including: Legal requirements: When required by law, such as through a court order, subpoena, or administrative request Public safety: To prevent or lessen a serious threat to the health or safety of an individual or the public Evidence of a crime: When the covered entity believes the PHI is evidence of a crime, such as one that occurred on their premises Medical emergencies: When necessary to inform law enforcement about a crime that occurred off-site, such as the location of victims or the perpetrator Death: When the covered entity suspects that criminal activity caused the death Identifying a suspect: To identify or locate a suspect, fugitive, witness, or missing person Public health emergencies: To disclose information to public officials responding to a public health emergency

Y'all just keep this up. I'm not bummed enough already, sitting here thinking how much better those feet look than mine. No inch-thick toenails, no purple toes... I mean, I'd pay a pretty penny to find a pedicurist who doesn't run screaming out of the room when my socks come off.
  19. UT -11.5? o/u 52.5? Pass. Meatchicken errybody need to show up for that to happen. Helm, Wisner, Blue, WRs, OL, DL ... errybody... even QBs, whoever and whatever they are. Hook'em
  20. Those of us with any sense want a return of Meatchicken Quinn. We want to send Clemson home to contemplate their season, bracketed by asskickings from UGa at the beginning and Texas at the end. If Quinn can't do it, we should turn to Arch. Many of us believe he could and some, perhaps many, believe he would succeed. Count me in. Hook'em
  21. Sweatergawd I responded, but when I hit the submit, it jumped to a completely different thread. Try again... I've never encountered "girthy" applied to "nipple", but okay... On the other hand, I don't have any plumbers among my friends or relatives, so I can't rule "girthy nipple" completely out.
  22. Dunno about phones and iShit, by the Just Read extension on Chrome tosses those paywall popups out the window. Also... shitcans a lot of in-text ads, and cleans up colorization and formatting.
