  1. This is an excellent idea. After all, the name of the game is Entertainment, and even Surly has to admit Graham would be an entertaining step up.
  2. Too long. How about JPK5T ... Josh Pate Killed 5 Twinkies
  3. You'd notice that's not actually a pillow, if it were fully erect inflated.
  4. No, he's genuinely cunty. Either I've not noticed it before (entirely likely), or we have a new version of intensive porpoises for posterity. For the unaware, the kids are young goats, the gloves made from their skin are used for handling things carefully. Finebaum has decent takes, for the most part, and like Josh Pate, he's an old radio guy. Like Pate, he has some good stuff and some really horrible bullshit in his schtick. If I do stumble into his show, the "call-in" segment is a sign to dump that shit in a hurry. One of the elements of Pate's shows is that he's mostly pretty open about the possibilities of being wrong... as he says "I only want the credit, none of the blame." whynotboth.gif
  5. So, he's not going to be able to pay off the $11 million to the janitor?
  6. I think it's more like Meatchicken, not exactly blowout, mudhole level, but they're never really seriously in the game. HOOK'EM
  7. NSIAP Most apropos statistic is that QBs starting for first time against #1 team have lost, every. single. game. I think that continues. Make it 19-0 and nothing but Ls for the virgin QBs. Hook'em
  8. Nice to see Surlys falling - if not leaping - into the sarchasm. Let's all hope things open up in the second half. Still waiting for Campbell to start foaming at the mouth. He screeched a little, but plenty of time left.
  9. Welp... fct is, it's not a very exciting game, so far. Makes XII look less than great. Where's Yormark when they need him?
  10. Red Bull... where's Arch?
  11. Interestingly, the new, improved AI Otto Korekt somehow decided when I typed "M" that I was going to type "Mine" and not "Massacre"... and I didn't notice it. The response made me assume there was a Sand Creek in Wyoming (there is) and that an unsuccessful attempt had been made to introduce locals to the marvels of Democracy. I never did go look how far it is to eastern Colorado, but...
  12. Which is why I specifically said "basically the same as the Pods..."
  13. Well... this is basically the same as the Pods from a few years back, but we don't seem to have a lot of mention of that dreaded word.
  14. Ahhh... The Commitments. 2, 1a, 1b, x, x, x, x
  15. That was one of three games in a row - actually I think it was three out of four - in which Okie State kicked our asses pretty significantly in the first half, and we outscored them 108 to nothing in the second half.
  16. That, and deBoer apparently didn't think too highly of him.
  17. *cue Or, arguably but requiring additional intel, queue.
  18. *You're ... or it's my welcome. NTN
  19. ... immediately commences to defend Bear Grylls, gets called out by a number of fellow Surlys, responds by changing subject to Miz Grylls' lack of outstandingly beautiful physical appearance. Congrats on providing an excellent - and reasonably short - example of Surlyism in practice. Derkaesque, but far more succinct. Well done.
  20. Isn't $200,000 a tad big to be retired?
  21. For you, amd any who share your take: Yes. You're right. They will try, no doubt of that. We need to take whatever actions are needful, from the first kickoff to our hoisting of the trophy. This is where you need the McMichaelish Studdardliest linemen on your team to make sure that anyone who lights up our QB - or even tries to - that person needs to be, shall we say, "dealt with". This needs to happen as early as possible, both from game and season perspective. Hope we got some men on the OL who will take up this burden, and protect his guy. Like the Ol' Ball Coach (or at least my ancient version of him) would tell us, "guys. y'all need to understand the difference between hurt and injure. We don't want to injure anybody, injury is damage, we don't want to cause damage. We want to hurt 'em, and hurt 'em bad... and bruises don't count as "damage". We want to cause pain, such like they don't want to get any more. Don't break anything, don't knock out any teeth, don't poke any eyeballs. Just make 'em give up being willing to get hit again.
  22. This is probably covered elsewhere, but... These ostensibly punitive forfeitures, $25 million or whatever, to whom are the forfeitures paid? I mean, do the victims of scouting get some, or the conference, or hmmmm, the NCAA Executive Travel Fund?
  23. Miz Long wants to know if a Livestream (from the party) is plammed/possible?
  24. Sure, that goes without saying, but Ewers' injuries would override that. Quite a crowd of Surlies speculated on the extent of physical problems.
