No. No, I don't. I expect to go to a spot, and I run to that spot. I'd like to be between the dback and the ball, so he has to go through me to get to the ball. Whether that's long or outside, I don't care as long as I'm between the dback and the ball. If I don't have a good chance to catch it, I'd expect to see if I can get the dback to PI me.
I did. That was Arch, and was that Cook, before he fired himself? The ball location looked pretty much the same. Cook got there, Moore didn't. Yes, Cook looked inside, but he had better separation. All in all, it looks like Moore just stayed too far inside. If he'd looked the other way, I think he'd have caught it, but I suppose he's beencoached to look inside, although apparently not to run to the spot. I'd have to go back and look again... but I'm not really in the mood to get involved in another dumbass and pointless argument.
Maybe it would somehow be more productive to discuss the pros and cons of running yet another horizontal run/pass play for plus or minus a couple of yards.
The silver lining here is that we're still on track, and then we'll have a different quarterback to bitch about next season.
