  1. Taking care of bidness in Norman woulda gone a long, long way toward making DeBoer's spring easier. Topping off being 0-for-Tennessee by losing to Venables was a disaster. Losing to Meatchicken, again, didn't help. Portaling for the spring needs to be directionally improved. Prolly gonna be some excited mouth-breathing on Pawwwwl's call-in segments for a few months.
  2. A recurring problem. This is our concern, Dude.
  3. Yep, and I have no problem with the fact of play-calling. Andy has an OC, too. Sark should get one.
  4. Been reading oglaf for years, great stuff.
  5. The batteries are dead in your semantical de-obsessificator, apparently.
  6. And yet, you can't stop belaboring your own semantic fuckup. Rent free.
  7. Is that a yes or a no?
  8. "Hey, PK... let's not run that 'prevent' bullshit with 30 seconds left. 'K?"
  9. I shoulda voted for the Asteroid, but it wasn't a choice. Noter Dame gets my nod, because Freeman looks to be more capable of getting his guys fired up and ready to rock'n'roll. Jake and Elwood will be tossing back shots with a waddle of penguins, and unpredictable events are uhhh unpredicted.
  10. Likely? It's nothing but. "Co-" anything is theoretically justification for a higher salary. The actual OC is the one who decides whether to run or pass and which run or pass concept to use. The co-OCs are tasked with making the choice from their implementation. This is true regardless of whether we're talking practice or game. In game, the OC is focused on how the game plan is working and what changes might be needed to fix a problem or take advantage of opportunities. It just is not - or at least seems to be not - possible to oversee both the whole game as HC, and also the offense as OC. I lean toward "not possible". Almost possible, or we wouldn't be getting to the Final Four, despite our talent advantages. Not quite is nevertheless "not". Would it make your semantic problem better if we call the position HOC, for Head Offensive Coordinator?
  11. This is a True Fact. So good I can actually stand to watch an NFL game and listen to them tear it apart. Jerrah should hire Peyton immediately... if he could afford it.
  12. This poor fucker. Reminds me of Johnny Foosball masking up and heading to Vegas at season's end, intentionally blowing off a team meeting which had a two million dollar price tag on it. Still can't believe an Agent with a 10% cut on the line wouldn't have a full-time PI on his ass 24/7. It may continue to be mildly interesting in the Johntay sweepstakes - he hasn't done shit, so far, except drop wide-open TD passes and fuck with his teammates and coaches. It's tempting to write him off as just another physically gifted, mentally challenged asshole... yeah, that's the Ticket. I have a feeling the last word on Johntay won't be too long in coming. Pretty much expecting him to get shot by a Pakistani convenience store owner at 2AM.
  13. How mny aggys does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
  14. This not lame, it's groan-worthy.

    Getting old sucks

Wrong thread. Maybe try "Am I Middle-aged Yet?" If it doesn't exist, youb should start it.
  16. I think the main thing I expect from our offense with Arch at the helm is to have that QB sneak (ten-wedge, anyone?) on tap, a better deep ball, running plays where the QB actually has to be accounted for by at least one of the defenders, and a few, or even several, fewer plays where the QB doesn't seem resigned to being sacked. Oh, and Arch or no Arch, let's not lose any games because we don't have a red zone ability.
  17. You ever hear of arrow frog poison? As a basis for anesthesia? Do you know how it works? Trust me, you don't want to know.
  18. If you watched Uncles Peyton & Eli and Belichick on the Monday Night NFL game, you already know that's a Good Thing. They've repeatedly said Arch's Dad was the superior athlete to them, and that he and Arch are the inheritor's of Granddad Archie's athletic traits. Arch sounds very confident, very confident indeed. His interactions with talking heads and typing hands have been handled well. Yes. Yes, his demeanor is a Good Thing.
  19. "Shat" is not only a perfectly good word in English, it's even less vulgar than its own present tense. And easier to say or write than, say, gescheissen habe.
  20. It would be if it weren't artificial.
  21. Combination For Two is not all that bad as a band name, but I like it a lot better as a song title. Mileage may vary in your immediate cosmic vicinity. Ooohhh, wait! Cosmic Vicinity has some possibilities...
  22. I'm assuming you're just working your bit, because nobody's dumb enough to believe that every ***** fits any scheme. I think you're now on record as being a bit player, or perhaps just a dumbass. From your own perspective, you've won the day. Congratulations.
  23. Actually, True Regret is a bleeding asshole.
