  1. Be fair... Sark came in with a "Seven wins and Drunk" rep, a coupla Saban years and a recommendation from the GOAT. Like (I suspect) a lot of the rest of us, I have a certain amount of life experience dealing with Recovering Alcoholics - some of them are, but some are not, actually recovering. Early Sark did himself no favors in Year One, starting afire and flaming out in a six-consecutive-loss disaster. That performance absolutely deserved a label of Six Loss Steve, along with suspicions of Not Recovering. These last two seasons have seen us - well, Sark -with a good, but not transcendent, Quarterback, a much improved Defense, and a team needing only a little more running game to have been repeat national champions. Either a QB with more ability as a runner or a Bijan-alike prolly woulda given us that bit of boost. Good work, Sark. And Thank You, Quinn.
  2. Yankees, imo. Mebbe californicators.
  3. On one of the Monday Night Football watches, both uncles admitted that Arch was a better athlete than either one of them. Our expectations will be more than met if he's as good or better than Peyton as a planner and Eli as an observer.
  4. Less angry posts Less repetition Less insults More Amber Heard One could make a case for posts to be the same in number, but not so angry and not so insulting...
  5. TexHorns.com could be available - you should PM Liucci for advice.
  6. Ignorance is bliss. But only if you're ignorant.
  7. My therapist asked me "So, how's your sex life?" I said "It's like a Ferrari, doc." He said "What's that mean?" I said "I don't have a Ferrari!"
  8. Forgot? Nahhh, just didn;t know the one and ignored the other. On the other hand, yippee-kai-yayying it up over that distance in spacetime isn't far removed from glorying in a #1 ranking from 1939, so there's that...

    Getting old sucks

    Around $30k, IIRC
  10. I think he was runner-up for Heisman, too, so I'm guessing he made every possible All-America team...
  11. Byron White says "Hey, does being a Supreme Court Justice count for anything?"
  12. And... "chosen to ignore..." I love Surliness. Aha! Finally noticed "ignore content", lending credence to "mention". Damn, now I gotta check it.
  13. Crazy AND stupid is a bad recipe.
  14. OK, side o' bacon. And a red beer. Where's the Tabasco?
  15. They could shrink it even more by not showing quotes from ignored users... I sort of vaguely remember something about "mention" in the ignore dialogue - maybe that's it. I'll give it a try one of these days .
  16. That uniform tells you all you need to know about them. TEXAS Aggies
  17. Coffee, leave the pot. Two eggs, up. Biscuits, grits. Extra bacon.

    Getting old sucks

Been around ten years since I finally gave up and admitted my teeth have always been pure rotten shit. I think I was at 11 or 12 crowns and looking at another two or three plus some of the old ones rotting out underneath... I went and had all 25 remaining teeth yanked in one marathon day and put 4 titanium screws implanted in top and four in the bottom (called "all on four") and next morning screwed in the newbies. That same day, I ate an apple or three for lunch along with a damn nice Ruben. Never had a second's worth of problems, never looked back, best damn dental decision ever made. I did look like someone who'd been kicked in the face about fifty times by Tommy Nobis - but that only lasted a week or so.
  19. Tell you what, amigo... having both of them on Ignore turns this into a readable, and even kinda fun, thread. Hits home when you pop into a fresh batch and see nine outta twelve posts show "You've chosen to ignore..."
  20. If this is true, it's just another reason to dislike USC and Riley. Chicken-fuckers, imo.
