  1. All threads are susceptible to "Arch&OL suck" and "there was that time" posts.
  2. Florida-Kentucky level OC'ing would make it hard to win any of these last five regular season games.
  3. I'm surprised at the ref-firing, but that Auburn-UGa game was as blatant as anything we've ever seen, including the Baylor Teaff farewell and the Charlie Hip-check game. I can't imagine anything that would make shit so obvious, other than a visit from Lefty and Fingers relaying an unrefusable offer from Da Boss. Really, only halfway kidding - it's gonna take some serious fear for you to throw away whatever reputation you still have.
  4. Maybe. Are there any dark glasses?
  5. I love football. Watching a game that's relatively evenly matched is the best. It's so enjoyable to see guys making athletic plays... fast, strong, great catches, great throws, great kicks. It doesn't even matter if I don't care who wins - in fact it's often even better, because I can appreciate plays both ways. Gotta love it. Hook'em
  6. You don't need to go that far: either stop sucking your thumb, or just take out your bottom teeth when you do.
  7. Saint Darrell was asked whether he thought ball control or rushing yardage was the more important, since both were a bit over 90% accurate in predicting wins. DKR said "Neither. Our research shows scoreboard control is a hundred percent accurate... whoever had more points, wins every time."
  8. Echoes my major point to a certain class of clients: "It's already broken, it already doesn't work - how much worse do you think it can be?"
  9. Read that in Robert Palmer's voice.
  10. Not hetting enough love. Milwee? Sarkisian?
  11. Speaking of Sark and balls... does Loreal know that Sark had a vasectomy a couple of years ago? Maybe that's just another baseless internet rumor, though.
  12. Fuck About Plenty is motto-worthy.
  13. Just a guess, but I think prolly some difference between payment for live performance versus broadcast.
  14. "Tessitore" hits close to home. I wrote a book in the late 80s about the Lesbian detective who lived upstairs from Kinky Friedman's gap lappers, name of Tess Tosterone. Publishers laughed at me and at the book... but not hard enough to buy.
  15. It would be interesting to see results if visitor sections in the Tech stadium were outlined clearly. There isn't a penalty for tortilla-flinging if they aren't hitting the field... is there?
  16. Not until next August, anyway...
  17. Kentucky has some players. They just don't have enough of them and/or enough good coaches. I wouldn't go so far as to characterize them as Little Sisters of the Poor... but what might fit better is "Little Sistets of the Stupid". On the other hand, your world can get fucked up if you ignore dumbasses completely. Pay attention. Hook'em
  18. This sums up my attitude perfectly.
  19. Yeah, sure. Back of the line, amigo. It's down to the end and around the corner.
  20. This pissed off a lot of people. I understand the need to keep "culture" pointed the right direction, and I understand the likely greater Sarkian sensitivity to an alcohol-related incident, but punishing your team by sitting a player for something that happened six months ago seems short-sighted. I hope there were other reason(s) for leaving Stroh out there stumbling and bumbling around. I just wonder if the culture issue was finally deemed taken care of or if it was a matter of realizing that either the OL got fixed and we let DWI-boy play or we might as well kiss our goals goodbye. Anyway, it looks a hell of a lot better now. Hook'em
  21. Strong's agent, you mean. Remember who you're talking about.
  22. But not an unpopular one.
  23. I've wondered about the contract balances in the event of uhhh some sort of you know an uhhhh an unfortunate accident. Coach Franklin? You have two visitors who say they need to speak with you, a Mister Louie and a Mister Fingers. Miz Long opines that such would likely have to pay off, if only to a survivor or an LLC. Of course, she's Criminal Defense and not Contract lawyer, so I'm not sure about that. But I have looked at a couple of coaching contracts online, and both of them had an LLC associated with the coach, so... maybe just a disappearance, have to wait seven years to presume death? And who knows what could happen in seven years, right?
  24. Well... before fucking TV took over the world and started the Red River Whatever, I don't remember calling it anything other than the OU game, so I'm good with it. The kickoff time usually depended on where the World Series game was being played - East Coast or Midwest mostly, and with a whole three TV networks, the OU game and the World Series were the complete slate of athletics... I think... the other network probably had Roller Derby.
