CFP Buckeye Makeover
Yogi also pointed out that the game is 90% mental and the other half is physical.

Mack Brown Tarheel Football: The Orange Slice Boogaloo
His Mom and Dad loved his brother, Watson, and barely even liked Mack. He has life-long issues from that, and will never change.

Bert!
Too lazy to see if mentioned yet, but the last few games I've rewatched, it looks like he's rushing his first step and slowing the next, leading to a jerky motion. Maybe the holder is doing something different... just a thought, for the kickers here; I was a punter but definitely not a place kicker.

Trivial Things That Make You Surly
Meanwhile, back at trivial things that make you surly... Posters who are already in the running for Bad Opinions Nobility but will also defend shitty opinions with repetitive responses, to the point of making threads unreadable, even when reasonably astute, even somewhat courteous, Surly folks point out the abject stupidity of their statements. I have been guilty of this on multiple occasions, but not multiple times per day on a daily basis, day after day after day.

Random thoughts that don't warrant a thread
I went through a lot of Volvos (couple of 1xx and bunch of 2xx), as well as VWs. Mainly for the kids as they started driving... wanted them in a bulletproof vehicle, and it worked. Always wanted a P1800, but one never appeared at the right time.

Back then I had a neighbor who went and got a Karmann Ghia convertible, and we built a 1600cc+ with Porsche-quality Brasilian parts. Also did same with running gear, and that sumbitch was a fucking blast to drive - run 100mph easy peasy.

You're right about a lot of things. This is not one of those.

Well, technically you do all four cylinders, but #3 runs the hottest because of the fan's air flow design. Solid lifters, gotta keep 'em adjusted. All you need are a 19mm box, 10mm box, flathead screwdriver, and a feeler gauge. When you first start, it's a once-a-week at least a little bit of adjustment on all four. After a month, every other week, and then once a month or so. Park it Friday night where you can slide under on Saturday morning, leave it stone cold, ten or fifteen minutes tops. Haven't looked in years, but last time I did, there were still some manufacturers in Brasil making parts. Bet still plenty here and there.

... aaand my second thought (because I actually still carry a Swiss Army pocketknife, and have used it to open a can in the last year...).

Trivial Things That Make You Surly
Exactly. My first thought when the electric can opener wasn't able to handle it.

They work fine, if the moron who loads the napkins puts in 20 of them, like the boss told him or her, instead of cramming 113 into it, which results in that 50 or nothing.

The Key here is the Big Burnt Orange Blob in Will Howard's mind. We get to him a few times - hits, sacks, INTs, whtever - and he will collapse in a puddle of choke snail vomit. The Front Line has to get by the tOSU blockers, and get to him. I think it's more likely than not that they do. Hook'em

Official Coach Sark Thread of Dominance—haters back off
I have to admit I was okay with losing to Kansas if that's what it took to quit whining about racism and fire the incompetent motherfucker. Cheer for it? No. Upset at losing? Not very much, other than not having lost to them since beore aggy's last Number 1 year.

2024 Week 17 - Cotton Bowl CFP Semifinal Texas vs Ohio State
To be accurate, Howard's history of losing every game against Texas is not the reason we're going to win this one. The reason is not that he lost, but that he hasn't gotten over the losses, and he can't stop thinking about them. Hell, he even lost to Maalik Murphy... he coulda won, but he "slipped". Oops. He's going to "slip" again - fumble, INT, miss a wide-open Smith, whatever. Horns up, Horns down, it don't make a shit, Horns are in his head, and they don't leave any room for anything else. Hook'em

This is who Steve Sarkisian is.
If you have a more-or-less unlimited budget for all manner of analysis why not have a crew that researches refs and their tendencies to calling or ignoring various fouls and their in-game behavior and willingness or refusal to reconsider a call? Can you calmly approach this or that official and say "ref, that guy tok off running, there's no foul if you hit him as or after he kicks it. Call a ref huddle, pick up that flag?"

2024 Week 17 - Cotton Bowl CFP Semifinal Texas vs Ohio State
We will win the game. I just saw a presser with tOSU quarterback Will Howard. We are in Will Howard's Head. Here's the clip: Watch this. Every bit of hos body language and indeed his demeanor tells you he's obsessed with Texas... which he says is the only XII team he couldn't beat. He's got a Longhorn in his brain. We got this game.
