  1. Ok, so we need to move past mere Targeting. Already saw a call for Attempted Targeting and Negligent Targeting, along with Targeting With Intent to Distribute. Miz Long, in her never-ending quest to bring greater administrative rules perfection to football, believes we need the addition of Aggravated Targeting and Conspiracy to Commit Targeting.
  2. Not the great lip-reader, but that looks more like "yoo" than "zhoo" to me. Thanks for the tip.
  3. Portugese: comment on reffing, "Injusticia", pronounced IN-YOU-STEESE-YAH
  4. Zey vill eat ze big bugs, but not ze little vuns.
  5. You are demonstrating a disturbing lack of respect for Authority. Sovereign immunity and whatnot.
  6. Obviously we need an expanded Targeting rule, which would encompass "Attempted Targeting" and "Negligent Targeting" as well as "Targeting with Intent to Distribute Disable". Then we're going to need an official with Uncivil or Sociopathic Behavior certification so the Review can start by determining intent. Absent intention, there would be no ejection. Perhaps a timed Penalty Box for perps, with or without offending team playing short-handed during such penalties. We only have 10 officials, and with 22 players on the field, that may not be enough.
  7. Probably called a "self-hold"... but okay if you don't take hold and stay behind him and push.
  8. Been beaten to death all over Surly... but, do we need an actual OC? I think the "Co-OC for X" titles for Flood and uhhhh (checks notes) Milwee are some sort of cover for larger-than-usual salaries. But do they have any OC function in game time? Does Steve ask them what they're seeing, what might work against what the opponent is doing? I understand the whole world of college football apparently believes that Sark is one of the great play callers alive, but it sometimes seems like he is too involved at that to actually HEAD Coach. Seems like it might be a Good Thing™ for him to have an actual OC, like he has an actual DC to whom he clearly defers for game calls. Is there anyone (apparently not Milwee) who could handle OC'ing for us?
  9. Do Oregon or tOSU have a fake punt in the playbook?
  10. Som a quick ASU score, half-time, and start the third with onside?
  11. More like "Awwwww FUCK!" than "Holy shit" imo.
  12. Couldn't say regarding Fiesta or Peach, but the Sugar Bowl game was played in what was named Tulane Stadium although I always heard it called Sugar Bowl Stadium. Super Dome or Superdome was built in early 1970's, opened I think in '75. I saw the 1970 Sugar Bowl game - Ole Miss and Arkysaw. Ole Miss won and the MVP was some guy named Archie Manning.
  13. 12.5 is a problem. The o/u at 51.5 is also iffy. For UGa, I'd like the under, but this one is uhhhhh unclear. I like the under, but I can see a possible score-fest. All in all, I believe I'll watch and enjoy.
  14. Everybody told me you can't get far On 37 dollars and a Jap guitar Apparently they were wrong?
  15. Walk-ins, no tub except hot, no wet dogs inside.
  16. I was wondering the same. Never heard of it, and it seems like a highly unlikely thing to discover by accident. I mean, first you have to get your dick the rest of the way in, if it's even possible for the length to be accommodated, and after that you're looking at needing scrotal girth to be likewise accommodated. Maybe be possible if your partner is a mother of twelve, but... well, whatever.
  17. Ultimately, the attitude we need to maintain vis-a-vis Mack is the same one that Saint Darrell had toward TCU. Coach Royal stated it most appropriately when he compared TCU to Cockroaches, and it's clearly apropos. "The problem with Mack is the same you have with Cockroaches: it isn't what they carry away, it's what they fall into and fuck up." With regard to including Mack into the Official Family of Texas Football... don't do it. Keep him at arm's length and make sure to have a method in place to hammer his ass if he strays off the script. I think the only reason he's coming here is that he managed to fuck up all of his welcomes in the last couple of years in Carolina I don't like it. I don't like it at all. I want Mack to stay the fuck out of Texas Football, because it takes so little for him to go into Mack-in-Thujones'-corner, flinging shit in all directions.
  18. Little edit, and we gots us a New, Improved Motto: Digging Our Heals Deeper
  19. This is Truth. Now explain why one wants to consume a drug which has its active ingredient removed. EDIT: and explaining sudo and rm, saving me from typing 8,000 words and prating about *n*x in particular and probably CPU instruction sets in general.
  20. I went through three of those buses, one in Europe, one in Africa, one in Texas, albeit only one was a Westphalia, and all in 60's and early 70's. The flat-4 air-cooled engine was a Porsche Sr. design intended for small aircraft, and one of the great engines ever made, used in both buses and Beetles. American mechanical maintenance was a disaster, though. Keeping #3 cylinder's valves adjusted was a once-a-month fifteen minute job, but had to be done with the engine stone-cold, not just cooled off. Do that and it runs forever. Pop on the 1600cc jugs, and run 70-80mph all day at 30mpg.
  21. Username and all. There's a difference between holding a grudge and remembering, and acting on, lessons learned. I sometimes feel bad for Mack and his lifetime battle against being less loved than his brother, even ignored, by his Mom and Dad. It's sad, really... But it doesn't excuse his overall behavior. And it sure as hell doesn't mean I - or any of us - should put aside what we've learned about him, and it doesn't mean we should forgive and/or forget. I don't, and I won't. Fuck Mack Brown.
  22. Thank you. I might have listened to it - or some of it, anyway - but thanks to you and some others, I didn't have to. In retrospect, I probably wouldn't have, because you're right, these "media availability" sessions are almost universally worthless, and at least half of them have such poor handling of the acoustics that one cannot understand more than a word or two of the questions. I'm not sure why about half of them are even allowed inthe room.
  23. To me, the most surprising thing about Elko is not that he played at Penn (the Ivy League one, not the rhythmic slapping sounds one), but that this gigantic, morbidly obese tub of guts played... wait for it... Safety. I suppose that having watched Mangino expanding his influence at Kansas, as a former OU Quarterback, should mitigate Elko's impact, but somehow it just doesn't.
