  1. But one guy got hit right in the hands with the tipped ball... and didn't catch it. To be fair - to me and to him - I am one of the very few people who noted that Gideon did NOT "lose the game" by failing to get the INT, and nor did Thomas by not holding on to Crabtree while the clock ran out. Remember, pushing him out of bounds or tackling him immediately was not really an option with a one-point lead and Tech with a T-O left. . The game was lost by "scares ya ta death" Mack Brown and his dog shit game plan, and his dog shit in-game coaching, letting us get down 19-0 before we even scored... and running a delayed handoff seven yards deep in our own end zone. I was not, am not, and will never be, anything other than disgruntled and rankled by that game and its outcome... but I don't blame Gideon for its loss, all woulda shoulda coulda and un-called OL holding aside. Oh, and how many times did Tech fans rush the field?
  2. Did you find at Goodwill, or did it just fly out the back of a maroon pickup?

    Getting old sucks

Darn, already been a month... time for the eyeball needle. Damn good thing tissue heals faster/better than bones. Speaking of which... how's it going, Shooter?
  4. SWA for the mother fucking win. SWAFTMFW.mp4
  5. You've spelt "masseuse" incorrectly.
  6. Koko the Talking Gorilla had a decent vocabulary, but didn't know the word for "ring". She invented a new word for it... finger bracelet.
  7. Good to have back the coach who put his guy in position to win the 2008 Tech game. Particularly replacing the guy who didn't make that play.
  8. * Yous No reason to doubt this take.
  9. Don't think that hadn't occurred to most of us. Their mom said they had baby bracelets, right from the hospital. It was apparently a common thing for twins. May be still, for all I know. I can't find any evidence of twinning in my genetic background at least four generations back and three forward...
  10. Woulda thought the roller coaster needed more altitude... but it's Earley still.
  11. Soooo many years ago there were Dawn and Donna. Guaranteed if you saw them one at a time you had zero idea which one was which. Together, you still couldn't tell, you just had to take their word for it. They usually wore different outfits, but for all you could tell they swapped clothes at lunch. Far's I know, none of us ever had our fantasies come true - I sure didn't. Only saving grace was that they were not super-hot, just ummmm "pleasant" looking. Woulda.
  12. Always gruntled to see a new Surlyism pop up.

    Heal, Shooter.
  16. Agree. Caving is nightmare fuel. Already have more than enough. Falling is flying, no real problems.
  17. Does Dartmouth have Cal Poly on their schedule?
  18. Go to "singles". Any kick (including punts) that doesn't get brought out of EZ is a point for kicking team. Kick goes out of the EZ, no point, receiver gets the ball on the 20. Kicking team can't initiate possession but can "down" ball in the EZ for a point.
  19. No doubt, lives up to thread captioning.
  20. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. FUCK NO.

Purely anecdotal. FWIW, out of five or six different folks I know, all but one wound up worse off following spinal surgery. Maybe relief at first, but increased problems in terms of pain and/or mobility in year or two. The one with good results suffered a broken neck - bad c4 injury - in a vehicle accident and according to quacks likely would have died if a survivor hadn't kept him breathing until EMT arrived and took over. He spent weeks in ICU and months in a halo. No problems later that I know of.
  22. Fuck me. You know, I'm one of the Surlies who have not been shy about voicing an opinion on Mack, and nearly always a negative one. Not so much his coaching abilities, which I believe are uhhhh let's say, good, but not great. No, more about his being a contemptible human being in so many ways. I don't think he behave so on purpose, it's just ingrained in him so deeply that he does it without even thinking about it. If your dog acted like this, you'd try to train him better... but, having failed at that, you'd take him for a last trip to the Vet. It's time.
