  1. Hits close to home. Miz Long followed up her Drama Majority with Law School. Well, and then back to Drama School with leading performer Gerry Spence.
  2. Need some help here. The Best Loss of the Year, very obviously goes to aggy, for the Domer effort. What I don't get, is how come aggy has not spent the entire season pointing out that the Noter Dames got physucally beat up by aggy, so badly beat up, that they were unable to answer the bell that Northern Illinoise rang right in their own home, that next week in South Beach Bend? Like, "we beat noter dame at Kyle Field and won every single thing except the clock! Whoop" I prolly just mist it, but where has it been?
  3. If you told me a couple of weeks back that we'd knock UGa's QB outta the game by halftime, and hold them to 16 points when the clock hit 00:00, I'da been pretty broke and homeless now... 'cause I would have bet the ranch on that W. If we want to win this game, either we find a way to get someone not named Ewers some holes to run through, or we quit turning the ball over and quit settling for FGs. Or both, preferably. Clemson isn't even in the conversation with UGa, but they also aren't in the other conversation with aggy. We can't stumble-fuck our way through this game. No mistakes here, we're gonna have to fight for the win. I think we do it. This first 12-team shit is set up for storybook chapters. I want to see us knocking off the Fightin' Nikes and (finally) the Whiny Visordawgs and hoisting that trophy award hardware. But before we do that, we need to take care of Clemson... and, of course, the Big XII Champs. Saddle up, boys. Hook'em
  4. Yeah, it's supposed to be Erik Somethingov, a high-ranking Commie knowing rain.
  5. You have to account for at least two of the refs, right?
  6. Something something Quinn Ewers something Bill Belichick...?
  7. I was assuming and still hoping something like this would / will be the first thing Arch does in the Red Zone. I don't care whether he jumps or pushes it, or flips it or tosses it, I want to see him headed for the line, drawing all thirteen defenders and hit Gunnar or Wingo behind errybody. 1st and goal, worst case. Now run the exact same thing. I see DC's shitting their shorts.
  8. Not unless her Amazon cart is in the laundry room.
  9. Having a mansplaining session with Miz Long this afternoon, on when holding is or is not called in football. Included the difference between holding by offense versus by defense, then devolved into (a) why refs call or not (mostly depending on what Louie and Fingers tell them the Boss wants), and (b) why hold in the first place. Having gotten through that, more or less, she asked how the coaches could break the holding habit of their players. Practice scrums with actual refs, sure, okay... but... Here's her (almost) random thought: like those dog-training shock collars, why not shock jocks? What? Well, if you get a jolt in the balls any time you hold, wouldn't that train you? Finding it hard to disagree that it might just work.
  10. Leach went to Pepperdine for Law School, I think. BYU for undergrad. Religious nuts errywhere?
  11. Here's a bit for Otto Korekt testing... wrote it prolly twenty+ years ago when he first started showing up. "These wards is awl spilled rite, eye no. Mi spilling chicken tolled may sew."
  12. I fucking hate Otto Korekt. +REP for "autocorrelated" though...
  13. Assuming "ain't that traded" means shitty, you're innumerate and/or ungamblifying. ATS bets are pretty much all 11-10 and they show that as -110, meaning you win $100 or lose $110. At that level 53% is your breakeven. You get to 62%? You can go ahead and quit your day job.
  14. What if I told you the play on defense was if Tech got a completion, hold the receiver up, don't tackle him and don't let him get out of bounds... let the clock run out. We had a 1-point lead, Tech had a timeout left and a FG would win it for them. After all, their kicker was a student who had won a contest the Pirate held to find someone, anyone, who could actually kick a field goal. It's too bad it didn't end that way (would rather we win, but...) because Tech would have had REAL Twelfth Man to shove in aggy's face. Make no mistake, that game was not lost by Blake Gideon or by the Crabtree catch, it was lost by Mack Brown on our first few possessions, insisting on following his script regardless of personnel, score or even field position. We opened up with what looked like a draw, with the ball on our own goal line - around the 2 - and handing the ball to a running back standing still 7 or 8 yards in the end zone. Safety, duh. Gave up 2 points on our first play. We were down 19-0 before we put up a single point, and buried at the half 22-6. I know this is the Arch thread, but one more thing needs to be said: Fuck Mack Brown
  15. Well, hell... if Kirby's afraid of him, we're in the driver's seat, right? Right? C'mon, Sark... tell me that's right?
  16. Guy's sitting in his cave, minding his own business. Hears noise in the bedroom. Goes to see what's up. Wife's got big suitcase on the bed, tossing clothes in it. He: What're you doing, babe? She: Packing up. He: Where you going? She: New York. He: WTF! Why? She: Facebook says prostitutes get paid $250. All they do is what I do for you, for free! He grabs his suitcase, starts throwing stuff in it. She: Where are you going? He: I'm going with you... I want to see how you're going to live on $500 a year.
  17. What's up with all this football talk? Where'd the stiletto heels go?
  18. That kid grew up and wrote some of the best stories ever printed in Playboy. I hear. And his mom was hot.
  19. You've left out the "n" and added "rtifici" for no discernible reason. I'm inclined to assume a small stroke or perhaps a cat or dog on the keyboard. I might be willing to suppose you were just getting frisky with a sheep.

    Getting old sucks

Damn - accidentally put this one in trivial, but to me it's not. First time in 7 or 8 years I hit the semiannual skin cancer quacking and got a zero... no surgery for at least another half year. Yippee kai yay, motherfuckers.

  22. Nobody has suggested Arch should run it again and again. The fact is, last two games, Arch came in for one play, and ran it. 2nd and 5 is good. Why take him right back out? Apparently Sarkisian sees something in Ewers that Arch can't do. As in, he believes that Quinn gives us a better chance to win for that reason. I don't know what that reason is or likely would be - do you?
  23. I don't believe he's saving any secret plays. I don't understand the point of using Manning for nothing but a quick five yards running. Or a fake to make the oppo burn a timeout. Maybe it's just showing errybody including future recruits/xfers his loyalty to a player and attempting to get him to the NFL and the bigger payday - and I think that's pretty much a Good Thing™, just not at the expense of the team winning.
