  1. "the diploma’s are worth the same in the business world, which is all that matters!! More, apparently, as they come with an extra apostrophe.
  2. "Oh, piss boy . . ." It's good to be the king.
  3. And heights/weights are never, ah, "improved" in programs either.
  4. Far and away, the hybrid offshore book/local agent is the way to go. Basically, it works like this: A local guy buys a franchise from the offshore sportsbook. He takes on players, handles the paying and collection locally, and assumes the collections risk. In other words, he guarantees his players to the offshore. The models vary as to whether the agent's taking handle risk, or just acting as an agent for a percentage. You don't care about that, one way or the other. As a player, you get all the convenience of online play, plus the ease of settling up (i.e., getting your cash out of the book in the event you win), plus no cash upfront, and you pay/collect either at preset time intervals or at preset price points. It's all the benefits of an old fashioned country book, plus the added convenience of online play, 24-7. It's the nuts, man. They're hard to find, but ask around; maybe one of your friends who plays knows of such a deal and can get you vetted and included. They're damn sure worth the effort.
  5. If SA says Earl is the best football player he ever saw, well, that'd be a clue.
  6. Apologies in advance for bringing this asshole's name up anywhere in the vicinity of Earl, but that acknowledged cocksucker, Barry Switzer is reported to have said that Earl Campbell was the greatest football player he ever saw.
  7. I assumed we were talking about CFB. In high school, he was too good to take off the field; in college too valuable to risk his knees to a crackback cheap shot by some asshole blO-U or aggy wide receiver.
  8. I think I remember Darrell putting him at linebacker in a goal-line defense against blO-U one time, but I can't find any documentation (and I looked) so it probably didn't happen. Most likely I'm wrong. I'm wrong a lot these days. I even think we can beat LSU . . . Earl playing defense is the kind of anecdote that would look good in an Earl story, so I'm guessing it never happened.
  9. I did once. Just once. I wasn't good enough. Not even close, actually.
  10. Tubbs went from RB to LB... he got too big to stay at RB... and he was much better at LB. Can you say Henry Melton? Chris Whaley? I knew you could.
  11. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part. And Surly's just the guys to do it.
  12. Problem is, those methheads are too dumb to figure this out.
  13. It's the Massey-Ferguson computer preseason rankings.
  14. A sense of order? Logic will never fly on the Shag.
  15. That needed to be said. It bears repeating: Racism works both ways.
