  10. So Cignetti doubles his compensation from approx $4mill to $8mill -- good for him!!! IU is also in the planning and financing stages of a substantial Memorial Stadium renovation, one Cignetti can now help shape. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/indiana/2024/11/13/iu-football-moves-forward-significant-memorial-stadium-renovations-plans-funding-indiana-hoosiers/76265714007/ Officially, Cignetti will sign a new contract lasting eight years and worth an average annual compensation of $8 million. He will also receive an annual $1 million retention bonus. A breakdown of Cignetti’s year-by-year compensation was not immediately available. The contract will run through Nov. 30, 2032. IndyStar understands Cignetti is still in line to receive the bonuses earned from this season’s performance, add-ons which already total $600,000 and could improve further.
  11. Yeah, concerning... Williams, 27, was in the middle of his seventh NFL season and his first with the Seahawks. He had started all nine of Seattle's games and played all 618 offensive snaps for the team in 2024. There had already been some speculation that Williams could miss the Seahawks' Week 11 game against the San Francisco 49ers after he missed each of the team's practices on Wednesday and Thursday for "personal reasons." On Friday, Macdonald revealed why. "Connor earlier this week decided to retire," Macdonald told reporters. "Personal reasons. We respect that. Wish him the best. We've got to move forward." Connor Williams' contract Williams signed a one-year contract with the Seahawks that was worth up to $6 million with $2.98 million guaranteed. However, the $2.51 million in incentives included a $1 million bonus if he played 75% or more of Seattle's offensive snaps, and another $1 million if he played that percentage of snaps and the Seahawks made the playoffs. The remaining $510,000 was labeled as "per-game bonuses," or $30,000 per game, according to ESPN's Brady Henderson. By deciding to retire after nine games, Williams is seemingly giving up $2 million in snap-count incentives and $240,000 in per-game bonus money.
