  1. The issue isn't who was better. Yes Stewart was better. My point is that our best WR recruit for some reason isn't good enough to get on the field. If Neyor was healthy that is understandable. But he's hurt and they need more speed on the field. Agiye Hall is a waste of a roster spot. Billingsley hasn't done anything either. But a high 4 star WR can't get on the field. Seems sketchy to me.
  2. Thompson was a 4 star recruit with a 94.43 rating. Good enough to contribute as a WR. Stewart was a 5 star with a 98.43 rating. He was a better recruit, but on the same planet? Yes. They were on the same planet. Xavier Worthy was a 4 star prospect with a 95.76 rating. These are all similarly rated players.
  3. I don't know. Is he playing our best rated WR Freshmen? Is Stewart that much better than Thompson?
  4. That's on the coaches this far into the season. Sark doesn't hold players accountable and he doesn't challenge bad calls. That long run was due to a hold on Watts.
  5. I didn't see that. I saw Worthy, Sanders, and Billingsley do that. You are probably thinking of Billingsley.
  6. Where is Brennen Thompson? Sark won't even play the Freshmen. Evan Stewart is playing at A&M, not Thompson.
  7. It's a joke that Texas couldn't block TCU on the run. The aren't big on talent but aggressive. They just had to increase their level of intensity and focus to execute blocks. If they did that Bijan would make people miss. He's a super talent. But they never gave him a chance.
  8. Sark gets one more year to get into the conference championship game. If he doesn't fire his ass. Don't keep running with someone you know who can't get it done. Texas recruits better than everyone else in the Big12 and has forever. If player development is the issue, it's Sark.
  9. Maybe TCU will knock Ewers out. One can wish.
  10. TCU is a 2nd half team. Texas is a 1st half team. They better break pattern.
  11. Sark couldn't even wait for one series to throw deep. What a joke.
  12. If they throw another go route I am going to throw my remote control.
  13. Need to keep running the plays where there were 2 drops. Those plays are open.
  14. Good point. I skimmed the title too quickly I guess. The relevant point then would be that the 2nd half could have been much better if Sanders was used the same way in the 2nd half or if they covered that have a wrinkle to get Whittington open.
  15. Regardless Texas has a 6 game win streak against KSU. That is a great turn of events from the early Big 12 days! Hookem!
  16. I've never said he sucks or is over rated. I have commented on performance to date and how it compared to QB performance last year. Ewers makes throws that no other Texas QB can, at times, but that hasn't translated to a big step improvement in QB play. Early on it looked like it would even with his inexperience because he was completing long passes. I think this is where his injury hurt him. Maybe everything clicks in the last 3 games and he reaches his potential. But the last 3 games haven't been good overall. They just haven't by any objective standard.
  17. Ha! I have been seriously negged for saying the same thing tonight. I agree. But more I think Ewers is playing his first year in major college football. Not sure we can expect much more this year. The hope is next year he makes the 2nd year jump. But yeah, he isn't there yet.
  18. Can you feel the sunshine?! If he was honest he would say this team could end up 6-6 or 9-3 because they don't play consistent enough on either side of the ball to make meaningful predictions. All we know is that they will play poorly down the stretch. The hope is that the team gives an extra measure of effort to make a play late to win. That is how they won tonight. It is how they beat ISU. Not making that play on defense resulted in the 3 losses. It will be razor thin each game. Anything is possible.
  19. Ian just doesn't seem like he makes the logical connection here. Martinez hadn't played in a month but threw for over 300 yards. That wasn't because how great he was. It was because of the very poor defense Texas presented. His comments are strange. The did good except for all those times when they gave up big plays. Keeping receivers in front of the D isn't that important when the DBs are 3 yards away when the opponent catches a first down.
  20. This was all in the 1st half. Sanders caught a couple of balls on the perimeter in the 2nd half. If Sark keeps calling plays to the middle maybe the offense unlocks more success later in the game.
  21. This is a lame brain statement obviously if you compare the OSU game to the KSU game. Sark really cooked something up special to do the exact same thing as 2 weeks ago.
  22. It was obvious early last year that PK wasn't very good. Minimum Sark needs to replace Joseph and Gideon and get coaches that mesh well with PK's schemes. But that is bare minimum. Need to go poach a proven DC, maybe Heacock, maybe Patterson. I don't know.
  23. That is not a fair representation of what I am saying.
