  1. We have a 5 star TE who rarely gets passed to. He got a catch late, but nothing over the middle. Tech's coach used a 2 star TE all over the field to torch our Secondary. If Sark can't utilize a player like Sanders, we need to move on from him. Not sure who but so far he has been a waste of time.
  2. Holding on to PK could be Sark's albatross.
  3. The DBs still don't cover tightly. A little better at times in the 2nd half. But very poor overall. PK still hasn't proven himself.
  4. I agree. PK scored an F this year. He didn't teach the players and he didn't hold his assistants accountable. He had months to make corrections. He failed gameplanning opponents. So much was wrong that PK should be fired immediately after the Kansas St game. But logically if you want to peel off all the onion's layers you start with defensive positional coaches. Then go to D Coordinator the next year. Underneath all that the S&C program has to be functional and recruiting has to have a high hit rate.
  5. At the least PK should get to choose all new assisstants for next year. I don't think that will be enough.
  6. I got that too. He doesn't say there aren't some talent and development issues. Those exist too. But that was an open letter to his friend saying that PK really sucks hard. He had success in the Pac 12 but he has been a complete failure at Texas. Personally I was concerned during the Louisiana game, but I can jump the gun a bit. But what I saw in that game has been reinforced in every game so far this year. Of the supposed good games they had like ISU, they played well for a half and then completely gave up. There problems aren't getting tired from being on the field too much. Here is the thing. Defenses control how much time they spend on the field. 3 and out and they get to rest. If they are staying on the field for a long time it is because they are getting their sh-t pushed.
  7. If Sark doesn't fire PK. CDC needs to fire Sark. If CDC doesn't fire Sark in that case. Then CDC needs to be fired. But Sark isn't the one fire him now or in 2022. It's coming. Better to do it now or in a year? Maybe depends on what coaches are out there.
  8. I say F--- every 9.95er in the Texas sports universe who sold Sark as a hire to the fan base. At the announcement I knew this was a bad hire. He is a nobody who has done nothing. But these assholes kept saying how great of a mind he was and celebrated, celebrated his hire of PK. The staff is dogshit. The roster is dogshit too. But Kansas roster is double dogshit.
  9. Maybe Kevin Dunn will quit blaming talent after this game. Fact is PK has been garbagr all year and the Sark couldnt motivate a crowd at a rock concert.
  10. Scipio is half-assing it like the Texas team I see. He usually loses interest at this point of the season after his predictions don't come true.
  11. Sark is a bad coach. I think he has proven that. Picked a bad staff. Hasn't held the players accountable. They haven't taught them fundamentals like they were supposedly going to do. Sark and Flood coat tailed on Saban's culture.
  12. Can we all agree that Kevin Dunn is full of shit about there being no talent on this team? Every post game show he starts by saying how the problem is lack of talent. In terms of raw athletic potential, Texas has at least as many talented athletes as any other Big 12 team. I will never believe that Baylor has more athletes than Texas. For god sake, they didn't even fill there scholarship limit 2 years ago. The problem isn't talent. The problem is development, technique/fundamental teaching, and accountability. Every other team in the Big 12 has Texas beat on those 3 things. So far Sark's staff hasn't shown much ability to provide those things. I think Herman's staff was okay at strength development, but sucked bad at the other two, 1/3. Now Texas may be 0/3.
  13. If PK is waiting for excellent LB play get rid of him now. How often has the Texas D relied on high level LB play? Maybe with Hicks and Robinson 8 years ago. Before that with Derrick Johnson. That's it.
  14. Sounds like Scipio is blaming Sark, which is where the blame should go. Kevin Dunn on 104.9 was screaming into the mic about how untalented Texas is. I think he is really off base. Texas isn't as talented as what we expect them to be, true. But this Texas team is more talented than OSU. Maybe they haven't been developed as well. But that is also on Sark. He has had them these players since January to get bigger, stronger, faster. He has had that long to teach and reinforce fundamentals. Not that he can fix every problem in 9 months. But is this team getting better? Doesn't look like it.
  15. Not that Texas could hire him tomorrow. But I have wanted Texas to hire Gundy for a while now. Proven winner in the Big 12. Main draw back is his record against OU. But clearly better than any coach we have had in 15 years.
  16. I could have done that before I got COVID too as an unathletic 47 year old. Building back now.
  17. Arkansas was never good. It's just that Texas was completely unprepared for that game. I also suspect Caleb Williams will not look all that good the rest of the year.
  18. The offense played worse but the defense still sucks. Has all year. Plus if they were any good, maybe just maybe they could make plays to win a game. They never do.
  19. On the counter you also need backside T or Nose to play across the hat not run around the OL away from the play and try to catch an RB from behind. Also a LB should be able to beat an OT to the other side of the LOS and make a play. But that would take a LB who knows his keys and how to attack.
  20. In the middle of all the Urban Meyer articles, Scipio put out his Defense Post-Mortem. I need some more of that crack.
  21. The announcers said it. When your most talented player is the hardest worker on the team, good things have to happen. That good thing was winning today.
  22. You care too much about secondary issues. He is a good coach and his team follows his leadership.
  23. Why? He is a proven coach in the Big 12. He knows how to identify and develop talent. I think it would be wise to get someone from inside the Big 12. Gundy or Campbell or Patterson. But I don't think Patterson is the answer. If Texas really is the 800 lb gorilla then we need to act like it. Go take what we want from other schools. Worst case is we piss the Big 12 off and it leads to a quicker demise for the conference.
