  1. Uh, come again? He threw the ball inside on a route clearly designed to have that ball be thrown outside. I was watching the SECN broadcast during that drive and if I recall correctly, the phrase “terrible throw,” was used.
  2. This guy allegedly went to multiple non OU affiliated docs to get second and third opinions on his injury, looking for a reason not to play. I’ll be shocked if he’s not gone.
  3. Yeah - I’ve been critical of Quinn this year and agree this is a bizarre and misguided sentiment. Quinn is the only QB on our roster who’s been in this kind of environment and that definitely matters.
  4. He was fine, he’s just a pussy. He was back playing the next series.
  5. Not really. There’s obviously unique optics around the backup being a Manning and the most popular player on the team. Sark obviously believes Quinn, when right, is the best QB to lead this team. Theres potentially a LOT of external pressure introduced about who the right QB to lead the team is if Arch comes in and looks great. Quinn is unlucky (even if it’s who he is at this point) to have been injured in a game he was playing well. I don’t think Sark wants that controversy based on Quinn getting hurt, which is different than what happened vs UGA.
  6. Sark is afraid to put Arch in and have him look better than Quinn. So it’s run game and screens the rest of the way. This dude is made of glass. Was playing well today and gets rolled up on and is now injured Quinn again.
  7. Has anyone pointed out what a dick Mark Stoops is? A real modern day Hitler one might say.
  8. It’s pretty funny to see the shift from Quinn is a sure fire first rounder and heisman finalist preseason to Quinn isn’t a problem because we’re 9-1 (due to our no. 1 defense) and Greg McIlroy won a championship! If before the season any poster had been on here saying Quinn is Greg McIlroy, I’d bet my left nut the same posters in here defending him so vehemently would have been saying what a stupid statement that is. The guy is a massive disappointment and people are justifiably frustrated. And for the record, Quinn’s “good” 4Q happened because the ball was taken out of his hands. He completed 4 passes. Two of those traveled more than 5 yards down the field (to be fair one that didn’t was the really good throw for a TD). That’s who we need to be the rest of the year.
  9. So your take is that was an acceptable throw and the ball not being completed was on Helm?
  10. Oh man, back to back road games, WOW! Except you know, the bye and the home game against New Mexico St but other than that back to back! What a screw job by Snakey!
  11. I fell asleep after the first half of this one but was tickled to see Mar out there fucking up calls (phantom facemask on BYU on a big sack) before I tuned out. Figured we might be in for some shenanigans that - shocker! - favored the team the big 12 wants to see win to make their playoff case look founded (Big 12 in anyway, but would expedite the “are we sure this is a power conference?” Discussion if terrible CU gets in, for example, with multiple losses including to a Big 10 doormat). Suffice to say, was not disappointed when I looked up the result this morning.
  12. Do yourself a favor and don’t look up Beck/Georgias offensive performance today. Edit: Quinn played good today. Well above my expectation. Just pointing out Beck ain’t the barometer we should be comparing to.
  13. Love a good “fuck you” bump! Was awesome that Sark used Gainesville native Gibson to ice the game too.
  14. Was a different guy after his scramble. He’s a night and day player when he’s feeling confident. Even on that play he first looked like he was getting ready to get hit then when no one touched him he took off for 9. After that it was all downhill. Moore dropping his best pass of the day and another possible TD kept the stat line from being insane. He should be able to use the game against Arkansas as another confidence builder 🤘
  15. I’m just glad we don’t have to hear cries about a rigged and stolen election for the next 4 years. And the electoral college is still stupid.
  16. You must’ve missed the part where it was hilariously unveiled that he’s been on government aide (disability, SS) to pay for medical treatments for his old ass. But it’s okay because he “worked hard” and “paid his due.” With zero respect for the consequences of so many who are doing the same and are gonna get fucked by trump and this shit bag party. It’s hard not to wish ill on folks with this view but it’s probably not helpful either. So I’ll just say I hope, for his sake, ole Spanky doesn’t get subjected to the treatment he’s signing everyone else up for. But if he does, meh. FAFO..
  17. They’re gonna love their new world order where every racist cop has free rein to force them and their family to prove they’re legally in the US anytime they want.
  18. This is incredibly disingenuous when everyone posting on this board knows Vince’s biggest threat was his legs and you are posting a passing only statistic and comparing him to a guy who never runs. I get it, you want Quinn to be good. So does every poster on this thread save a small number. Probably just time to quit having these silly arguments and let this thread die until after FL who has a good enough D to test Quinn again.
  19. Was just saying this to my brother -- pocket passers as top line college QBs are rare these days. It's just asking for way more consistency than most guys are capable of. Even the ones who have done it recently (Stroud, Burrow, Lawrence) have more functional athleticism than what we've seen from Quinn. Hell, tOSU fans were somewhat frustrated with Stroud if I remember correctly.
  20. Blaming the OL for a sack on CB blitz, where the CB is the sixth rusher, is a bizarre choice. OL sucked ass but at least have the criticism be valid.
  21. This post is fine - there’s not much I’d disagree with. The whole offense (save WR) played poorly. Sark needs to see that and figure out a way to help generate offense. What this doesn’t address was the point of my post - people are frustrated with Quinn because he’s showing to be a guy who’s only as good as the plays others around him can make. That’s a far cry from the expectation most had for him as a third year starter and heisman favorite heading into the season. Guys at that level make plays when other things around them aren’t perfect or are breaking down (see: Watts v Bryce Young). Are you happy with how Quinn is playing? Does his play match your preseason expectations for him? It’s okay to answer those as no and also call out the rest of the offense/Sark look bad as well. They fucking do.
  22. You’ve got your mind made up that people “hate him” so you’re gonna ride that narrative until he’s gone, whatever. The reality is 99% of this board wants to see this guy succeed and be great but it’s not happening. The idea that he’s “fine if you protect him just like any other QB,” as an acceptable outcome for a guy who is starting his third year as a heisman contender with spots in national ad campaigns is absurd. Performing like an average college QB is a fail for this guy, plain and simple. That’s the curve he’s being graded on and that’s the expectation he’s created. We shouldn’t have to call a perfect game to protect the third year preseason heisman favorite QB, and that guy should be able to make up for shortcomings elsewhere. So yeah, folks are frustrated even when he put together a nice half. Honest question - if Quinn and Pavia switch teams what does this outcome look like? Is it any different? If not, is that acceptable in your eyes?
  23. Frustratingly, Quinn’s postgame comments about these was basically, “yeah I was unlucky.” No responsibility, no introspection about what he could have done differently. Pretty clear to anyone watching the second instance could have been avoid by actually attempting to move before making the throw.
  24. His utter and complete inability to avoid any rushers is going to cost us at least another game this year. Couple that with the massive regression from our OL and this is a bad offense all of a sudden.
