  1. Blaming the OL for a sack on CB blitz, where the CB is the sixth rusher, is a bizarre choice. OL sucked ass but at least have the criticism be valid.
  2. This post is fine - there’s not much I’d disagree with. The whole offense (save WR) played poorly. Sark needs to see that and figure out a way to help generate offense. What this doesn’t address was the point of my post - people are frustrated with Quinn because he’s showing to be a guy who’s only as good as the plays others around him can make. That’s a far cry from the expectation most had for him as a third year starter and heisman favorite heading into the season. Guys at that level make plays when other things around them aren’t perfect or are breaking down (see: Watts v Bryce Young). Are you happy with how Quinn is playing? Does his play match your preseason expectations for him? It’s okay to answer those as no and also call out the rest of the offense/Sark look bad as well. They fucking do.
  3. You’ve got your mind made up that people “hate him” so you’re gonna ride that narrative until he’s gone, whatever. The reality is 99% of this board wants to see this guy succeed and be great but it’s not happening. The idea that he’s “fine if you protect him just like any other QB,” as an acceptable outcome for a guy who is starting his third year as a heisman contender with spots in national ad campaigns is absurd. Performing like an average college QB is a fail for this guy, plain and simple. That’s the curve he’s being graded on and that’s the expectation he’s created. We shouldn’t have to call a perfect game to protect the third year preseason heisman favorite QB, and that guy should be able to make up for shortcomings elsewhere. So yeah, folks are frustrated even when he put together a nice half. Honest question - if Quinn and Pavia switch teams what does this outcome look like? Is it any different? If not, is that acceptable in your eyes?
  4. Frustratingly, Quinn’s postgame comments about these was basically, “yeah I was unlucky.” No responsibility, no introspection about what he could have done differently. Pretty clear to anyone watching the second instance could have been avoid by actually attempting to move before making the throw.
  5. His utter and complete inability to avoid any rushers is going to cost us at least another game this year. Couple that with the massive regression from our OL and this is a bad offense all of a sudden.
  6. I too would rather have a coach who says things after WINNING as opposed to saying things after LOSING. Hot take, I know.
  7. Quinn is an above average QB but that’s about where it ends. To be fair to him the guy on the other sideline - who has been talked about in equally high regard at times - was almost as bad as Quinn tonight, difference being a couple of key scrambles. That said, it’s insane the way Sark is trying to lean on this guy to set up a run game. It’s not going to work against good teams; he’s just not good enough. As bad as the rushing was tonight, it bears point out that 7/29 “rushes” were sacks. Another 3 were scrambles. It’s no accident we all of a sudden looked much better when we ran the ball to start the second half and blew the game open against OU when we started running the ball.
  8. Throwing the double pass up 27-3 with zero chance that their offense would get them back in the game was totally uncalled for. And I fucking loved it.
  9. Hey Brenen, suck it bitch. OU sucks.
  10. Missouri is a total fraud - untouched defenders on almost every play, pre snap penalties, dropped deep balls and missed open receivers. Bummed we don’t play these guys this year.
  11. All this faux outrage about the disrespect of Kyle Field is hilarious. Meanwhile you’ve been able buy tickets to this game for less than $50 all week. For a top 10 opponent. For comparison that’s the same as what Texas fans paid to be in the stadium against ULM. Best fans ever though!
  12. You should maybe go look at the records and history of championships of the programs Leach coached before you use these metrics to judge his performance. Meanwhile he revolutionized the way the game is played — both in college and in the pros — and has one of the more impressive coaching trees you’ll find.
  13. This “glorified scrimmage” narrative is so goddamn stupid. Guess what - good teams beat the shit out of bad teams in scrimmages too. Good teams don’t get their ass beat by 9(!!) touchdowns in scrimmages. FSU didn’t belong, especially after losing their best player. Tough pill to swallow but it is what it is.
  14. Reminder that week 2 and 3 Bama sucked but week 4 Bama beat the SEC West runner up by 14. Must have been a hell of a week of practice!
  15. 11-1 and some posters can’t wait to run to this thread to talk shit, lol. Get fucked.
  16. Reminder that in the last day Texas football has as many roads wins as Texas AM football has accomplished in 1,035 days.
  17. I’m jealous, man. I’m kinda wishing I would’ve taken your lead and also not watched the game.
  18. Pretty smart by Baker tbh. The really good recruiting reporters can make 6figs.
  19. TCU fans such salty little bitches. Congrats on your luck filled season which ended in the worst bowl loss in history on the biggest stage. Texas has been so shitty that over the last 5 years we’ve only won 2 more games than TCU over that’s stretch.
  20. Sark yelled “Snap the ball!” At Majors as they came off, so it seems like he thought it was on Majors. Totally weird sequence though- Quinn was watching the UW guy run off like he knew the issue was there but wasn’t frantically clapping for the snap either.
  21. Of all games, weird bump. He’s been okay tonight. Playing a good team with little help from the run game. WR have dropped 3 or 4 tonight including what just would’ve been a 40 yard completion.
  22. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m just devastated for Hill. Truly eye opening to learn just how bad he wanted to be an Ag but his mean ol Dad has been bought and paid for, now FORCING him to go to a school that had a better season and isn’t on the verge of firing most of the staff he’s committing to. Just awful.
  23. What is this based on? My Sooner family was claiming same line but it’s not true based on anything I’ve seen. The 19 class with rattler and a bunch of WRs was absolutely a better class (on paper) especially if you consider they picked up Hurts as a transfer as well.
  24. The flu thing is such a bullshit crutch (shocker from them) to excuse their sucking/possible loss. Oh noes! All our players are out! As achane, Stewart, Muhammad and most (all?) of the OL are playing.
