  1. Any of these new sites have a user-friendly app?
  2. I'm 39 years old and this past year I've had a noticeable drop in energy. I still work out 3x a week but I feel like I'm just going through the motions instead of actually making progress. I'm also generally tired throughout the day. I know some of this is just part of getting old, but I decided to get a blood screening since I've never had one. The results came back and my testosterone is low, but still in the acceptable range. My doc suggested hormone therapy or a natural supplement. I'm going to start with the supps first, but I'm curious to know if anyone has had success with either one. On a maybe related note, I also had a vasectomy last year, and I've read that there may be a connection between low T and getting snipped, but nothing definitive. Anyone experienced anything similar? My sex drive hasn't changed and I check the Demi thread just as frequently as I always have. I just miss having energy throughout the day.
  3. Maybe not a classic yet, but I've had a hard-on for GMT-400 single cab Z71s recently. I'm trying to find one in show room condition with low mileage but that's proving to be tough.
  4. And what about the 2nd half?
  5. The Turks had one on the ramp in Kabul one day so I went over and started chatting with the crew. I talked them into giving me a tour of it. It was pretty damn nice but of course it was brand new. It looked like a baby C-17 inside, with pretty much zero similarities to the Herk. It has props though, so still sexy in my book. I thought I had a better pic but this is all I have. Us holding short of 11 with the A400 in trail.

    Red Banner

Fuck I thought this was about Uncle Red sponsoring a banner over DKR this weekend.
  7. Sweet Jesus, put away the tin foil and crack pipe. I don't even know how to respond to this, but the bolded part made me LOL. Wake vortex? MDW and ORD traffic? WTF? Do you think the B-2 is just going to Leeroy Jenkins through the radar pattern, disregarding all regulations or ATC clearances? If we're talking hypotheticals here, and if a B-2 were actually doing a flyover at Soldier Field, it'd be as easy as regional approach creating about 2 minutes of separation between the B-2 and any traffic in and out of MDW. ORD is 20 miles away and a complete non-factor. Wake turbulence isn't a concern either way. Keep in mind Chicago's airspace sees aircraft that create much more wake turbulence than a B-2, like the A-380 which has literally rolled and totaled other aircraft while airborne. https://flightsafety.org/a380-wake-turbulence-encounter/
  8. Here's how the process works: 1. The entity that's hosting the flyover makes the request to Air Force/Navy/Army/whoever Public Affairs or equivalent. That request includes all the important info like event type, date, time, location, etc. They can also request a certain type of aircraft or just say they want anything with wings. If they've worked with a certain unit in the past (for example, UT and the TXANG F-16s out of San Antonio), they can request that unit specifically. If this is the case, usually there's already a handshake deal between the entity and the unit they're requesting, but you still have to go through the process because government. 2. The DoD branch approves the flyover, and posts it on a dedicated website just like a M4M nurse encounter. 3. Individuals with access to said website (like me) can browse and look for something intriguing. I'll know what dates and how many aircraft my unit can support, so I'll look for something that matches with a hometown connection or maybe just a city that has good titty bars. 4. I submit a request to PA to support the flyover. 5. PA will contact me, get 6-9 pages worth of info, sit on it for weeks, then flip a coin to decide whether they'll approve or deny. 6. If they approve my request, they'll then get me the contact info for the flyover host. 7. I then work directly with the host for specifics of flyover direction, time, and contingency plans. 8. Flyover happens. To say it's a training mission and that it will happen either way whether the flyover happens isn't exactly true. Yes, there is some training to be had, and you can turn it into whatever type of mission you want, but the bottom line is it's a great deal for us. When you've done nothing but train in the local area and/or deploy to shitty locations, doing something like this is something special and it's not something that you'll get to do often (aircraft dependent). Some units may choose to turn the 1 minute flyover into a 6 hour mission that involves a low-level or a couple plugs from a tanker, or some (like mine) will just fly directly to the flyover then land so we can watch the game. Bottom line though, it doesn't cost the taxpayer a single cent because every unit gets a certain amount of flying hours a year and they can use them how they see fit. So for those of us that have spent literal years of our lives in Bumfuckastan, let us have our 30 seconds of glory over a football stadium.
  9. God damn there’s so much misinformation in here I don’t even know where to start.
  10. I've been stuffed in smaller at SERE
  11. I think it’s a combination of low interest rates and people saving money during the pandemic by not commuting to work, not traveling, and not eating/drinking out.
  12. I’m holding out for Derka Falls in Pflugerville
  13. Prices are up across the board on pretty much everything since the pandemic hit (houses, cars, boats, etc). It’s a sellers market, no matter what you’re selling.
  14. We demand answers @Scheiss Meister
  15. I guess I don't understand how there are so many manhole covers associated with sewer systems, yet most of the pipes are PVC. I'm guessing you don't pop open a cover and all of a sudden you're staring into a PVC pipe. Like the dude that washed away today obviously fell into some open ditch type setup, so how common are those?
  16. So are these your standard round pipes or more like an underground ditch? Obviously not pressurized, correct?
  17. I would like to subscribe to your newsletter sir. I thought all manhole covers generally led to storm drains or underground utility tunnels. So there are some that lead directly to shit sewers? I guess I just always assumed sewers were in a closed pipe and wouldn’t be open to the outside world in a sense by just opening a manhole cover. I’m seriously intrigued and want to know more.
  18. How long do you intend to keep it? If it’s any longer than the warranty lasts, I can’t imagine the Lexus not being cheaper over the long run. Plus, like you said, the resale probably won’t even close between the two. But how do both compare to your QX80? My wife has always wanted one but I’m just not sold on recent Nissan build quality, and I’ve owned 3 Nissans and grew up with Infinitis so I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for them.
  19. 1. Oh my god girl 2. Middle finger girl 3. Oh fuck girl Fight me
  20. I was honestly thinking about other things regarding mountain flying, not necessarily personal mins. 1. Engine out options. If single engine, good luck finding a flat piece of terrain to put it down on if you lose it. If you're in a twin, I hope you have enough power to make it somewhere viable. 2. Will I clear that peak ahead? What are my options if I can't? I've seen pilots put themselves in some bad spots, sometimes fatal, thinking they can clear a peak or ridge when they can't. Does a head wind help or hurt me if I'm trying to clear a ridge line? At what angle to I want to clear it? What's on the other side? Mountain flying in general is a whole different ballgame, and is why the AF still offers specialized mountain flying courses. We did a lot of low-level mountain training in the Herk, and any issue you have gets compounded when you throw in big rocks to navigate around. I realize most people won't be doing a lot of time in low-level regimes, but every flight has to begin and end there.
  21. How hard is it to get tickets? I'm thinking about going to Game 5 just to see the stadium.
  22. Seeing K-State easily beating teams we can't beat is the only normal thing of 2020.
  23. This is funny because I used the same exact recipe but I thought mine was slightly runny. I did use 2% instead of butter milk though. Also, the longer you chill the batter the thicker. Either way they were delicious.
