  1. Nothing sinister. You pretty much got the gist of it.
  2. I'm not necessarily going to take a day off, I'm just not going to go to work. I never really liked work anyways.
  3. Yep. I went to high school with Matt and know him and the girl it happened with. Cedric Griffin looks 12 years old in that pic.
  4. Hearing rumors Kyler will forgo football and baseball next year to play Tommy DeVito in the OU Drama Club's rendition of Jersey Boys.
  5. aggy is playing, right?
  6. Pretty damn close to perfect. Wait, we're talking about QB rating right?
  7. Surprised IU adjusted to that SEC-caliber pitching so quickly.
  8. I like DP
  9. Seriously.
  10. I'd roll the fuck out of that 'Burban. If you really wanted a sleeper, you could probably tear 500lbs worth out shit out of that thing and it would shave a few tenths off the quarter mile for sure.
  11. Oh noez, black shoes. Should be burnt orange!
  12. This argument is so dumb. The black is an accent, just like the lace on your panties. Gray isn't one of our colors and it's on a shit ton of gear too. Everything Texas related can't be just burnt orange and white.
  13. Fuck Houston. So fitting to see Harden and D'Antoni choke yet again.
  14. I'm retarded
  15. The hole itself is 1.5' deep, which is where I hit the root that runs from one side to the other. The hole is just deep enough to plant the new tree, but it is basically resting on top of that old root. Is this ok?
  16. Both sides of our yard are lined with mature Indian Hawthornes that are probably 12' tall or so. Last year, one died so I cut it down flush with the ground. Yesterday, I bought another to replace it. I dug a hole about 1.5" deep and hit a pretty big root (probably 3" diameter) from the old tree. We're pretty limited on space so there's really no where else I can plant this thing. So will having a root directly under the new tree stunt its growth?
  17. Maybe shrub was the wrong term. Just something to take up space that thrives in shade and has a bit of color. Would also prefer something hassle-free and that will survive a Big Country summer.
  18. Is this a perennial or an annual? Sounds beautiful.
  19. Has anyone noticed a dip in testosterone since having the procedure? I've read a few articles saying levels may decrease post-op and really don't want to fuck with my body's ability to show workout gainz or diet losses.
  20. Allow me to make a plug for the new Wichita Falls Brewing Company, owned by my good buddy and Texas Ex. http://wichitafallsbrewing.com/
  21. Suggestions for a flowering shrub that does well in the shade and can be kept somewhat small? I'm talking no more than 3' tall and 2' wide. We started with Knockouts in this spot, but there wasn't enough sun so we transplanted those and tried Lantana but had the same issue with not enough sun.
  22. But the fungicide is a preventative only, correct? At this stage, I should stick to the peat moss or ammonium sulfate? I think I'll start with the peat moss and see how it does.
  23. Thanks for the help. The St Augustine is generally pretty healthy but has developed some brown patches the last couple years. This is turf we laid 3 years ago. I read about the Take All Root Rot and aggy suggests a fungicide for prevention and a fertilizer high in ammonium sulfate for control. According to their chart, a thiophanate-methyl fungicide like Scott's Lawn Fungus Control should be safe to apply in the heat. And then any generic ammonium sulfate should do. Thoughts? 24. Just returned from a deployment so this is the first opportunity I've had to work in my yard this year. I have a few questions for @cactusflinthead, my landscaping overlord. 1. Is it too late to throw down a pre-emergent or any other type of fertilizer that will benefit the yard this year? I live in Abilene and have St. Augustine. 2. Is it too late in the year to trim back my Knockout Roses? I usually do this in very early spring but didn't know how doing it this late would affect their blooming schedule. 3. Current watering schedule is 2x a week for 15 minutes a pop in the yard, and 20 minutes a pop in the flower beds. Too much? The first zone starts at 6am and the last zone ends around 8:30am. Is this a good time?
