  1. I'm safe and sound out here in Germany. Hard to watch the video of the crash. I'm not going to speculate on the cause of it but it takes something significant to take a 4-engine aircraft out of the air like that. RIP to the crew though. I've lost friends in aviation accidents but it hurts just as hard when you don't know them because military aircrew are a pretty tight knit group and you know it could have just as easily been you.
  2. Would love to see Connor go here.
  3. Would have rather traded up for James, but don't hate this pick.
  4. Where are you staying in LR? Are you looking for places downtown or more towards West LR?
  5. I'm in Germany so the Cowboys pick will take place somewhere around 5am, and I plan on staying up to see it and going to bed after. There will be no bigger kick in the nuts to stay up that late and seeing Jerry take some fucking WR that we don't need to waste a first round pick on.
  6. We are one of very few P5 schools that is in a city with not only a skyline, but a beautiful one at that. Sure, less than 50% of the fans can see that skyline in the current stadium configuration, but I'd hate to lose one of the things that makes our campus and stadium special. If you put upper decks on all four sides, you might as well be in Collie Station or Tuscaloosa.
  7. You're in luck, because they have new uniforms and helmets this year.
  8. Still not an excuse.
  9. https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/future-cars/a20066196/ford-killing-focus-fiesta-north-america-2022/ Pretty big move and I wonder if the other members of the big 3 (namely GM) will follow suit. This is a huge blow to Lincoln who shares platforms with most of the Ford sedans. They'll only have the brand new Navigator and the MKX on the showroom floor.
  10. -Duke's Grocery in Dupont Circle is honestly one of the best burgers I've ever had. Really small neighborhood spot that uses all-natural ingredients. It's been on the "Best Burgers in DC" list for a few years now. -Pizza Paradiso has really good wood-fired pizzas but their beer selection is even better. I think they say over 200 beers in stock, including my favorite Belgian Trappists. They have a location in Georgetown and one in Duport Circle. -For wings, I stumbled upon this place called The Prospect which is on U Street right next to the Metro Station. Really good selection of sauces and a few good beers on tap. Either way, DC is such a damn good food city that you can't really go wrong. Good luck.
  11. I really hate when different sections of stadiums start at different levels or use different seating angles, creating those ugly walls on either side of the new SEZ as shown in the pic. The Shoe has this same thing, among other stadiums, and it looks ugly af. Why can't they just continue the lower bowl all the way around continuously?
  12. Keep doing what you're doing, Bob. We appreciate the hard work.
  13. But we won 2 of these 3 last year.
  14. I pretty much can't eat any vegetables today because they were forced down my throat as a kid (peas, green beans, corn, carrots, broccoli, spinach, etc). My extent of eating vegetables is adding lettuce to my tacos at Fuzzy's or eating a baked potato with my steak.
  15. Getting crushed on the glass but luckily GS looks pretty disinterested in winning this game. Hopefully the Spurs keep the intensity up in the second half.
  16. Cross posting this from the Germany thread since I figured out how to post pics. Got the opportunity to drive a 911 Carrera 4 GTS through the black forest of Germany. When I say this was one of the best experiences of my life, I mean it.
  17. Let's see if this works.
  18. I honestly think the Imgur issue is slowing down the activity here.
  19. When I say this might have been the best day of my life, I'm not lying. Taking a 911 through the Black Forest is a dream come true. Welp, pics aren't working for just take my word for it.
  20. I actually just got back from Stuttgart today (work trip), but we plan on going back in a couple weekends for Fruhlingfest. I've heard nothing but good things.
  21. This picture was taken just seconds after he struck the match.
  22. Prague was great and is my new favorite city in Europe. We had an AirBnB a few blocks from the Old Town Square so we were central to everything. Friday night we got to town around 11pm, so we quickly changed then walked into the first bar we found down the street called James Dean. There was a line outside and I generally don't do bars with lines, but it had a good crowd, so I asked the bouncer how much to skip the line. He said "100", which at first I thought was 100 Euro, so I said no thanks. But then I realized he meant 100 Koruna, which is like $4, so I happily handed him the money and it was at that point I realized the affordability of this place. There is a chill bar area and restaurant upstairs, and a dance club downstairs. The women inside were phenomenal and the drinks were cheap. The next day we walked to Old Town Square, grabbed a beer and sausage, and started walking. They're renovating the clock so we missed out on that. We walked across the Charles Bridge, then up to St. Vitus, and finally down to Lennon Wall. St. Vitus was absolutely gorgeous. Behind the cathedral there was an area with food and beer booths. I grabbed a beer and one of those cinnamon/sugar fried pastries with the chocolate inside. Game. Changer. Fuck that thing was good. That night we did one of those Prague Pub crawls. It was more or less a waste of time. There were probably 25 people doing the crawl. The first bar we went to was completely empty except for those of us in the crawl. Then they took us to Duplex which is a club further south of city center. The club was pretty cool and had a good crowd. The DJ was putting on a pretty solid show upstairs too. Best of all, grade-A ass crawling all over that place. We left about 3am and walked over to Karlovy Vary just to see if it lived up to the hype. It didn't. The guy to girl ratio was probably 5:1 and it was packed full of tourists. We shut it down at 6am, grabbed a doner, and headed home. Prague is one of those cities that you need to spend a week in to truly appreciate it, and I wish we had more than 36 hours there. 10/10, would visit again.
