  1. Everything happened we needed to this point to get the 2 seed. Can we actually show up in an important game?
  2. I admitted it was a poor choice of words. I should've said "It will suck ass when we are losing to him 2 to 3 times a year" instead of saying we will regret it. The squeaky clean stuff was only a response to this comment made above: "The win at all costs mentality you have is cancerous to a university like ours" For one, it isn't my mentality, and two the University has often displayed a "win at all cost" mentality in the way they have handled certain situations. I wasn't saying one situation equals the other but rather offering up examples of times the University was willing to not do the right thing to protect its interests (which includes a past felony domestic violence issue). Simply pointing out that if said mentality is "cancerous to our university" there are bigger fish to fry than me.
  3. Although I should add they both probably deserved more FT's than they got too.
  4. Carr and Rice going a combined 10 for 32 is hard to overcome. We need better out of those two if we are going to have success in the tourney.
  5. It's coaching. We could be much better at rebounding if we didn't have 3 to 4 undersized dudes all fighting each other to tip the ball to the other team. We don't even understand the concept of blocking out.
  6. Lose to Kansas and we could fall all the way to 5th place.
  7. We wasted a good 7 seconds there after they got the rebound.
  8. Carr and Rice are a combined 9 for 30. That's rough.
  9. Too much dribbling on offense, not enough ball movement.
  10. Well we have a rule. The ball must be tipped at least 3 times before trying to secure it.
  11. This game would be more fun if Boban was calling it.
  12. I mean we could also win it by playing zone and taking our chances on 3's instead of giving up layups.
  13. Do we even know how to play zone? Seems like when we are struggling defensively changing it up might help us out a bit but I'm guessing we have never even practiced running a zone defense.
  14. It may not be the case but it has felt like we have played from behind for about 75 percent of the season.
  15. You are correct. He did after a reporter uncovered the story. I personally knew of another situation where a married professor had an affair with his grad student that basically resulted in the grad student leaving the country after it was uncovered while he got a month long paid vacation as "punishment". My point is that acting like we are some squeaky clean University that always does the right thing is disingenuous. When the University is able to get out in front and sweep it all under the rug they will. Because of Beard's high profile status they couldn't get out in front of it, but if they could've they 100 percent would've. I didn't mean that I didn't agree with the decision or that it wasn't something we had to do. I meant I bet he goes onto another University and has more success than we do in the same time period. But the reply I got, that was basically asserting that the university is above winning at all costs, just isn't reality.
  16. We arent helping ourselves but it's clear the Big 12 wants to make sure TCU gets help in this game.
  17. Brock may be our best "big man". That's not ideal.
  18. We play an NBA Allstar game level of defense.
  19. Lol. I guess poor choice of words. I didn't really mean we had a choice. I can just see him going on to have big time success somewhere else. As some one that worked at the University for double digit years your assertion that anything is "cancerous to a university like ours" rings hollow. UT employed a professor that beat his wife without any repercussions because of the money he brought in and "since it didn't happen at UT it didn't require any punishment." The idea that we are a squeaky clean University that is above anything just isn't based in reality.
  20. We are going to regret firing Beard when we are losing to him 2 to 3 times a year. Tech and Texas are in the same position. Both about to ride a Beard assistant into obscurity.
  21. This might be true but Texas still hit more FG's and 3's than Baylor. The only difference is made FT's. Which means they were the more aggressive team and got to thebline more regularly than we did even considering the end of game FT's.
  22. We made 2 more baskets and 1 more 3 than Baylor. They shot 17 more free throws at 29-12. I didn't watch much of the game so I can speak for how it was called but FT's were the difference it appears.
  23. Taking the kid to his first Texas Baseball game ended up being the right play. Glad I didn't pay too much attention to this terrible game.
