  1. This is actually a great one.
  2. Overlord is awesome It’s not Shaun of the Dead or Scary Movie, but there is absolutely a significant amount of intended comedy (particularly in overall tone and presentation), just like in Evil Dead II, etc. And plenty of contemporary writing comments on it as such.
  3. Sadly I think Trump wins it with something in the 285 range. I think he’ll flip back Georgia, flip at least one of the blue wall states (not all 3), and one or both of NV or AZ. Old, white, male Joe Biden and the pandemic were the perfect recipe in 2020, but the shit bags have short memories and a distaste for female leadership. The next 4 years are going to suck.
  4. Drag Me To Hell - this kind of kitschy, Sam Raimi comedy horror just doesn’t do it for me. I’m not in suspense, I’m not scared and I’m not laughing, so I don’t get the point. I know it’s blasphemous, but I feel the same way about Evil Dead II. Just not my jam. Apartment 7A - my wife requested this. Boring and uninteresting.
  5. Yes, Slacks, our lives are hanging on this anecdote. We need to know whether to dismiss it out of hand only as further evidence as to how lost Texas is, or cling to it as a data point for how far reaching Kamala is!
  6. You made me think of this recent New Yorker cartoon
  7. Fuck me, I've found myself in agreement with this guy, I need to take a long hard look in the mirror.
  8. This is why Saturday (really the last two Saturdays) was so disappointing. We've seen Quinn be great against Nick Saban, Brent Venables, Wink Martindale and other good defensive coordinators. We've also seen him be great in big games. So for your third year starter with that track record to lay a complete bomb in the biggest game of the season is just a real bummer. I'm not bailing on him yet. I still think he is likely the quarterback that gives this team the best chance to reach its potential this season. But his back is now against the wall and the knives will come out if doesn't light it up from here on out.
  9. Well unfortunately for us a certain morbidly obese coach in college station also runs a disguise heavy defense.
  10. You’ve been on these boards for years. Are you really so dense that you still don’t understand how this works?
  11. I read the WSJ every day. Their news room is top notch in my opinion. Their opinion/editorial section is the New York Post dressed in a men’s warehouse suit.
  12. Well they learned watching our head coach and players, so can hardly blame them
  13. Sure thing, "John Cocktoasten".
  14. Skinamarink is good in the right context. It’s almost better to watch on your laptop in the middle of the night all by yourself than in a theater. Definitely no second screening.
  15. Expecting an awesome game. I think we have an overall better roster and overall coaching advantage (thank you Mike Bobo), and I expect us to win. I do think it will be close. If there is any reason for concern, I think it’s that (a) this is perhaps a do or die game for Georgia’s playoff hopes, which I’m sure Kirby is hammering, and (b) the media seems to be universally picking us, which, again, I’m sure Kirby is hammering. I expect that we’ll get their A game, so we better bring ours.
  16. Seeming likely that we lose 4. Banks, Majors and Connor for sure, and Williams seems to be shooting up draft boards to round 1. Something like Goosby, Neto, Hutson, DJ, Baker. Possible Hutson takes a guard spot and Robertson or Cruz get center. Will be a good test of Flood’s talent evaluation and development.
  17. Anyone have Dunlop’s OL deep dig? Love reading those with this group
  18. Generations of southern inbreeding must have left you mentally handicapped, so I feel bad responding too harshly to this. You better get back to your TPS reports.
  19. The transformation of Vernon Broughton this season is one of the most shocking jumps in play I can remember. Just a completely different player compared to every other year on campus.
  20. Appreciate you posting a photo of the hundreds of idiots who don’t understand the concept of multiple entrances.
  21. Hereditary probably a tougher watch for a 16 year old than Exorcist. The latter is pretty old times feeling by today’s standards. on the flip side, original Texas Chain Saw Massacre still creeps me out. Amazing movie.
  22. I think you are right about that. Not many contenders, honestly. Kindle maxed out when they spun him down to end full time in 09. Muckelroy was really solid but probably not this impactful. Jordan Hicks was very good, but he struggled to stay healthy and I’ve blocked those teams out. Gary Johnson was pretty good his final year.
  23. You could tell Sark was trying to twist the knife today. Quinn just a little too rusty. Nice to treat the sister fuckers like a warm up game. See y'all in Austin next Saturday.
  24. This man should never pay for a beer in Austin. Amazing play
