  2. Question for the tailoring experts here. My dad has a military issued London fog raincoat from his time in the navy. It’s an awesome coat and I’d love to use it, but he’s a few inches taller than me and so it wears a bit too large in the sleeves and length. Is this something that a good tailor can address?
  3. It is, in fact, legal to smoke weed in public in New York (same minimal restrictions as cigarettes). For better or worse, we aren’t a nanny state like Texas. We can get high, gamble and watch porn as much as we please.
  4. Agreed. He’s actually played really well both playoff games. Had a few what the fuck plays (missed 4th down to Golden against Clemson, INT against ASU), but overall a pretty high level of play and was absolutely nails from 5 minutes on against ASU. He might actually be the best overall QB left in the playoffs. Howard obviously has better weapons and + mobility, but he at least equally as prone to WTF games
  5. The Devil’s Bath. A real “boy that escalated quickly” opening scene followed by a slow, dreadful burn. VVitch vibes. Highly recommend for my fellow sickos
  6. With our schedule next year, it should be. Ohio St, Georgia and Florida on the road will be tough. That’s really it. A&M and OU will both be bad teams next year. I agree with your overall point that next year’s offensive line is a huge question mark.
  7. I love Sark, but the decision making in the last 35 seconds with one timeout in your pocket, a fresh set of downs, and on the fringe of your shaky kicker’s range was just baffling.
  8. You forgot: 7a: Insufferable middle aged dipshits spend 3 hours cutting themselves and flinging their own shit in the Surly Horns game thread 8. Insufferable middle aged dipshits spend the next 10 days cutting themselves and flinging their own shit in the Quinn Ewers thread
  9. That’s awesome. Seems obvious, but I’d suggest making your setting as theater-like as possible for this one, particularly with the audio. The score was tremendous.
  10. The other perspective is that giving a guy a megaphone who we know to be completely focused on his own legacy to the detriment of the UT football program (see, his behavior at the time of his exit), is not good. The second things aren’t perfect in Sark’s program, you can count on Mack Brown to do everything in his power to twist the knife. I’m fine with the one off interview. Bobby is good people and needs to make money. And I would be fine honoring Mack at half time next year (maybe with the entire 05 team) on the 20th anniversary. But anything that gives him a permanent microphone is a bad idea (again, from the program’s perspective, not a clicks perspective).
  11. It’s not a net negative for someone trying to generate revenue with engagement, but most of us aren’t viewing it from that perspective.
  12. I did Oahu and Big Island with in laws a few years ago. Maybe I did it wrong, but Oahu wasn’t really for me (outside of one awesome day hanging out in Waimea Bay). Big Island was awesome. I would have liked to have paired it with a different island for the more beachy/chill part of the trip. We flew from NYC to Honolulu and then immediately got on a 15 minute flight to big island. Very easy. In Oahu we stayed at a four seasons in Ko Olina. It was beautiful but just a little too suburban family vacation for my personal taste. In Big Island, we shared a rented house I think was pretty reasonable. Rented a 4WD truck through Turo and drove to the top of Mauna Kea at sunset. That was awesome. Thought I was going to run out of gas going down that mountain in first gear. Did a cliff jump into the ocean at the southern most point on the island. Terrific Then used the truck to get to Waipi’o Black Sand Beach, which was also fun. Walked around the volcano national park, which was just ok. Then did a helicopter tour that went over the volcano, and that was much cooler from a visual perspective. There were some more challenging hikes on my list I just didn’t have time to do. Did the night manta ray thing with the fam. It was pretty cool. Lot’s of good ceviche/poke etc at stands along the side of the road.
  13. The Brutalist. It is a lot of movie. Love the swing
  14. Yes, because Mack’s skin is so thin it’s as transparent as cling wrap. He’s the second most successful coach in our program’s history, and for that I’ll always thank him. But he’s a petty old man that needs to have zero involvement with this program absent an honorary applause at a random half time. And, if he insists on playing his timeless woe is me card, guys like Bobby shouldn’t give him a platform, no matter the clicks.
  15. The Order. Not good but it fucks for sure
  16. And I now we all know the rationale for your defense of the American health care system in the other thread! I kid, I kid
  17. Agree with the overall message of your post, but Gilbert was literally booed off the field. Think you might be underselling that just a bit.
  18. Unfortunately for me, I did read your post. You said “I think the decision this time is mitigated by the poor performance of Auburn. That mitigates the decision, but does not fully justify it.” Auburn is perfect inside 40 this year (9/9 I believe). In fact he hasn’t missed one inside the 40 since September of 2023. So, you were irrationally angry about going for it, but then you convinced yourself it wasn’t so bad for irrational reasons. I feel like I’m arguing with my wife.
  19. Were you similarly livid when Sark went for it on the first drive from essentially the same spot and we scored 7?
  20. Again, we went for it on 4th twice in the 1st half from nearly the same spot. We converted the first and got 7. We missed the second. Had we just kicked field goals both times, we would only have 6. I get it, math can be frustrating when you are an emotional person.
  21. Finally made it to Tatiana last night. Absolutely lived up to the hype. Great atmosphere and one of the best meals I had this year.
