  1. I think aggy has a pretty good chance of winning, but they’ll still finish 8-4/9-3. I don’t see them doing better than 2-2 against Bama, LSU, Ole Miss or Tenn, but also don’t think the latter three teams are anything special this year.
  2. 1 - Georgia 2 - Texas 3 - Florida State 4 - Ohio State 5 - Washington St. 6 - Oregon 7 - Miami 8 - Penn St 9 - Washington 10 - Kentucky 11 - Notre Dame 12 - Oregon St 13 - Alabama 14 - Duke 15 - Utah 16 - Missouri 17 - North Carolina 18 - USC 19 - Michigan 20 - OU 21 - Ole Miss 22 - Louisville 23 - Maryland 24 - Fresno St 25 - A&M Edit to fix omission of OSU and Kentucky
  3. Just a typical Riley team. Great offense, terrible defense, no spine. Unfortunately for them they play in the best conference this year, so 2 or 3 losses seems likely.
  4. Possession is one of my all time favorite movies. I enjoy the Terrifier movies but they are really all about cool kills. YMMV The Sadness is good. I'll see Talk To Me as soon as its available to rent on apple. Pissed I missed that in theaters.
  5. What college football media people are y’all listening to who are predicting a Kansas win? I listened to the Andy Staples pod this morning and both he and the guest (a guy from the AP) talked about how impressed they were with Texas and picked Texas (and Andy I think picked Texas to cover). The only negative mentioned was that last year’s game was all Bijan and he gone, but not in a concern troll way.
  6. I will once again rep that AMC+ is one of the best services out there, particularly for this thread. The shudder sub makes it worthwhile, but it also comes with the AMC, Sundance, IFC, and BBC catalogs.
  7. I can assure you they were entirely “black and white” reasons for aggy.
  8. Those dipshits better hope they beat us next year. The game is in college station, and we’ll be replacing about 6 or 7 starters on offense (including the QB and every wide receiver), and as many as 9 starters on defense. In theory next year should be their best shot in the near future.
  9. FWIW, the UT website says he only played in 4 games and redshirted in 2020. I don’t remember if that’s actually true.
  10. Majors redshirted in 2020, right? I get confused with how the COVID rules apply, but I think right now he is a redshirt junior. So I guess he's definitely back next year for his 5th year, and then maybe he could get a COVID super super senior year even though he redshirted that year (Idk, someone can correct me). Either way, he's starting until he leaves.
  11. Fortunately for them, Steve Adazzio has the offensive line in tip top shape.
  12. I finally went to Cafe Chelsea Sunday. Obviously very indebted to the various McNally bistros, but derivative or not I thought it was really well done. Will definitely be back.
  13. I remember playing Kilgore as a junior (believe they were undefeated, defending state champs), they were up a few scores on us in the 4th and our brilliant defensive coordinator decided to call the same B gap blitz from the linebacker spot like 15 plays in row. Michael fucking Huey was their guard, and that mother fucker stoned me and tossed me down/aside basically every single time. He didn't help me up once, but he did lean down and tell me that I should just give up (he was right). All the more humiliating when that guy became a punching bag for the fans in 09/10. /csb
  14. They were up 52-12 with 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Just took their foot off the gas.
  15. I think they have a pretty good shot of beating Bama in college station. That game is always their Super Bowl (more so this year for obvious reasons), and I don’t think Milroe is well-suited to exposing their flawed defense. Probably going to be a rock fight. Of course I also think they have a really good shot at losing to Ark, Alabama, Ole Miss, Tenn and LSU. Any loss is possible with Jimbo.
  16. Seems like a good dude. I almost feel bad we are going to put his team through a world of pain on Saturday.
  17. Have you watched any Texas football games over the past three years? It seems like you haven’t.
  18. Those stats are exactly why I said I would love to see what Sark could do with him. I agree, Greg Davis was clueless, and catching balls from Gilbert, Case and Ash must have really sucked. One of the best things about Sark is he knows how to use talented skill guys. Edit to add: not suggesting Goodwin is even close to as good as Worthy.
  19. Marquis Goodwin, the guy who was an Olympian, drafted in the 3rd round and is still in the NFL? Yeah I think Sark just might be able to find a way to get him on the field.
  20. I don’t know how this thread devolved into a comparison of this 4-0 team that struggled against Rice and Wyoming to a few of the top 10 teams in Texas history. Comparing this team to the 08 or 09 teams is a fantasy at this point. The 09 team had 2 of the top 5 offensive players in college football, and the second best defensive player in college football. 11 of the primary 12 defenders on that team defense were drafted. The offensive line was ass, sure, but having the best quarterback in college football does wonders for your offense. As an aside, would love to see what Sark could do with Goodwin. Even mentioning this team in the same breath as 05 is so stupid it doesn’t even deserve a response.
  21. 1 - Georgia (South Carolina) 2 - Florida State (LSU, @Clemson) 3 - Texas (@Bama) 4 - Ohio State (@ND) 5 - Utah (Florida, UCLA) 6 - Penn St (Iowa) 7 - Oregon (Colorado, @Tech) 8 - Duke (Clemson) 9 - Washington St. (Oregon St., Wisconsin) 10 - Kansas (BYU, Illinois) 11 - North Carolina (South Carolina, Minnesota) 12 - Miami (A&M) 13 - Washington (they look awesome, but their schedule has been deceptively trash. Best win is Michigan St., a dumpster fire) 14 - Oklahoma (Cincy; SMU) 15 - USC (ASU) 16 - Missouri (KSU) 17 - Notre Dame (@NC State) 18 - Alabama (Ole Miss) 19 - LSU (MSU, Ark) 20 - BYU (Ark) 21 - Florida (I think Florida is a trash team with Charlie Strong 2.0 as a coach, and they will be lucky to finish 6-6. But the win over Tenn at this point in this season is a good win) 22 - Colorado (TCU; Nebraska) 23 - Louisville (G Tech, Indiana, BC) 24 - Maryland (MSU, UVA) 25 - Michigan (they won't play an above average team until November 11. An absolute fucking joke that they will be the consensus #2 until that time. I will keep moving them down as other 1 loss teams get good wins).
  22. But an extra point puts you up 2 scores; miss the 2 point and you are only up 1 score.
