I’d like to see Blue get more run, but long term I think Baxter will be really good. He’s so young and has been dinged up all year long. I bet he’ll be a much more powerful runner over the next 2 years

Hayden Connor is a junior bruh. And if you want to play games to classify two guys who will be in the pros next year in Ewers and Brooks as underclass to make yourself feel better, have at it. But this is not a young team by college football standards. We are experienced and talented (which is why we’re 9-1).
Except that isn’t true. On offense, 9 out of 11 starters are at least third year players. Depends on the formation but defense is also 8 or 9 of 11 starters being at least third year players. We have some talented younger guys getting meaningful snaps, but the young team excuse doesn’t fly this year.
Texas absolutely does not control its own destiny. We're in a decent spot, but we need some collection of team(s) to lose even if we win out. And, a 1 loss team sitting right above us is better positioned with respect to "controlling their own destiny". If Oregon runs the table and beats Wash in a rematch, they are almost certainly getting priority over us.
Pretty clear what we need: (1) keep winning (preferably with some impressive wins instead of the heartbreak kids); and (2) either (x) FSU losing, or (y) Bama beating Georgia. (x) > (y), but either should get the job done. Wash/Oregon too unpredictable.
He was awful, no reason to mince words. Does it mean he won’t put it together someday and become a very good quarterback? Of course not. Young quarterbacks improve by leaps and bounds all the time (see Ehlinger, Sam). But, right now, he is a bad quarterback in danger of making a disastrous play every single pass attempt. Klieman was insane for going for it yesterday instead of making Sark try to manufacture points in the red zone with one hand tied behind his back. A gift from the college football gods.
I flew down for my first game since LSU 2019. The jumbotron volume and consistent onslaught is insane (including the dumb ass DJ on the field), but otherwise the atmosphere is vastly improved. The student section in particular is miles better compared to when I was in school 06-10. Fun time with this heart attack team.
Just because you made a poor inference doesn’t mean I’m moving the goalposts. But I am glad to see you’ve become more trusting of the coaches in your older age.
My rhetorical tactic was pointing out that the tight ends this staff have recruited have yet to prove anything on the field (which is perfectly fine at this stage), in response to you feigning disbelief that someone dare question the judicious recruiting offers of this staff. But I get that you don't like your silly comments being dunked on.
