  1. Why can't y'all just admit that there's a shitty college football culture west of Lubbock. The fans of the Pac-12 don't care about college football as much as other P5 conferences which is precisely why the one school that actually does really give a shit is leaving. But to dissect your point, we should compare what it looks like when South Carolina plays the Citadel. Or here's a fucking thought, maybe don't schedule Southern bleeping Utah.......
  2. Yes, exactly. However I know that some schools just got a lucky free ride (Vanderbilt, Purdue, etc)
  3. Lottery winners. Also, most on the list weren't stupid enough to fight against their providers.
  4. Oh no no no, this is precisely about schools like ASU. You see, schools like that don't have the fortitude or grit to go all in and go after that national title and be behind their football 100%. They want to look around and look up to big brother and say "hey, go be great so we can tag along. But, also we're going to slander you, beg you, cheat you, and make the game against you the biggest on our schedule every year. But you're totally fucked up if you cut us off because we're too half ass committed to our own program to establish our own identity other than being an underdog and trying to ruin your season. Get that TV money though big bro, we need it!" That applies to about 60 programs Tech, TCU, Baylor, most of the Pac 12. Everyone in the ACC not named Florida State or Clemson. The fans (you said so yourself), the media, the schools are tired of the nobodies hanging on. They want to see big games on big stages. The pip squeaks free ride is over. And the gall they have to be pissed is a GD joke. AZ State has been in the Pac 12 for 44 years!!!!! They've had 44 years to get it together and simply chose not to. Again, it's on you (the fans, alumni, boosters). Stop blaming the schools that are looking out for their best interest when that's exactly what the pip squeaks are trying to do by begging to stay relevant and acting like their cause is somehow more noble. You had your chance, you blew it.
  5. West Virginia is playing Pitt this year. Maybe Kansas would play Missouri annually if they hadn't acted like such a dick head on the way out the door. Texas played Oklahoma like 80+ times being in different conferences.
  6. No, no you don't. Y'all keep saying this, yet your own bleeping fanbase never shows up. Yet, .500% Texas comes to town Lubbock: "night game, everyone wear black, flip off Texas fans and scream raider power in their face, start a fuck Texas chant." But yes, tell us more how your fan base cares so much about playing Arizona State.
  7. You're missing the point, the road is about to get a lot harder. The days of undefeated teams in college football is over. Again, ASU has a huge enrollment and an endowment bigger than LSU, Auburn, and Ole Miss. Yet your fans don't care about your football program. Why?
  8. The numbers and stats just don't agree with what you're saying. When bluebloods or ranked teams play, the ratings flow in. Clemson's fanbase just picked up tons of new fans. And I can tell you for damn sure there were hardly any Alabama A's on the back windows of trucks pre 2010 in Texas like there are now. Nobody gives a rip about Sun Devils football, not even their own fans..... https://youtu.be/Oz0kApIqXio Where y'all at? This is the GD season opener after the covid year wtf......
  9. Arizona St will most likely be part of the "club" lucky for you your school is in the 10th largest metro area in the US. In another thread it showed how the top 16 schools make up over 50% of the market in fan following. So cutting out the dead weight doesn't represent 2/3 of the market. More like 1/3. All of these schools should really take a long hard look in the mirror. They have themselves and their alumni to blame (ASU included) ASU has a gigantic student population and some pretty solid local talent (thank you for Bijan) and had failed mightily to capitalize on that since that Jake Plummer 96 Rose Bowl. The alumni and students didn't/ don't have the passion and buy in to want to be a football power. The crazy thing is ASU is a sleeping giant type of school. Problem is, they just never woke up.
  10. Because you're basically firing your salesmen that have half the accounts your top tier guys have yet pay them the same salary. You're now cutting out the overhead and giving your top guys a raise.
  11. Reading is fundamental, it says Texas and OKLAHOMA...... They have a trophy and name for a game they've won 16% of the games in. Lol this was just posted yesterday... https://twitter.com/CowboyFB/status/1542281767125716992?t=FnzHHN8HC6fU0JYM7qqN1A&s=19 And it's one thing to want to beat a rival. It's another to make it the premise of your existence.
  12. Has nothing to do with what you said. I'm ready for all of this to be settled. Whatever happens to us happens. College football is fucked regardless, but congrats on the money I guess? You say congrats on the money as your school holds Texas and Oklahoma hostage for $160 million as if the two haven't propped up Oklahoma A&M with money enough as it is.
  13. It's essentially going back to that. Teams are going to be aligned with their regional partners within the conference. The only people this won't apply to is the Big 12 and even then it'll still be mostly familiar faces. For Texas there are no 3 schools that exist that have more history with the Horns than Oklahoma, Arkansas, and aggy.
  14. Hard to tell considering the t-shirts made, Instagram rally cries, white out/black out games Texas seems to play so often on the road.
  15. Anyone who thinks Ohio is a peer to the state of Texas should go visit Columbus followed by a wonderful trip to Cleveland lol.
  16. And Texas will still be richer, located in a better state and better city and a more prestigious University than Ohio St lol. Cool story bro 👍
  17. Yeah there's none of those in the Big 10 or SEC. Nailed it. Maybe y'all shouldn't have tried to act like jilted cunts in everything. Will be nice to be aligned with schools that don't form their existence to upset Texas and Oklahoma but by putting skins on the wall in their own path.
  18. B1G fans keep bringing up NYC and LA as if it's some mythical giant. Adding Rutgers and Maryland were essentially unnoticed to the rest of us. A lot of the games since they've been there haven't been competitive. Think about this, USC & UCLA just left their west coast base behind because their base doesn't care and nobody watched. I'm pretty sure UCLA puts up tarps at the Rose Bowl during their games.
  19. Not to mention gave espn a platform to use as a pilot for the SEC & ACC network. Kaylee Hartung and I'm sure plenty of behind the camera people started at the LHN.
  20. It made the university of Texas hundreds of millions and ultimately into the sec. Was is wildly successful, no. But to call it an animation is also largely false.
  21. So you actually believe this move happens if TX/ou stay in the Big 12?
  22. He fails to realize this move is caused by the sec getting TX ou lol
  23. I'm actually really enjoying this. The tit suckers that offer very little yet benefit majorly from who they're affiliated with are getting kicked to the curb and I love it. Way overdue. The days of collecting $$$ and being canon fodder are quickly coming to an end.
  24. Weren't Army and Navy both football powers in the 40's due to the influx of enrollment during the war? If aggy was a "military" college during WW2 why did they still suck?
  25. The continuation of dog shit pitching.
