  1. How can someone in the caring profession be this… uncaring?
  2. I’m sure he likely expected it and he was still disappointed by it.
  3. Lol, a good friend is a producer for the channel. He’s equally bemused and a bit down over the hate on Twitter for the video.
  4. She's too good of an actress to simply box her in with what she was provided.
  5. YChang replied to Stringer's topic in Movies and TV
Not a F1 fan at all, but this could be fun to watch in theaters.
  6. I’m down for some dark poetry side track… The Hollow Men by TS Elliott We are the hollow men We are the stuffed men Leaning together Headpiece filled with straw. Alas! Our dried voices, when We whisper together Are quiet and meaningless As wind in dry grass Or rats' feet over broken glass In our dry cellar Shape without form, shade without colour, Paralysed force, gesture without motion; Those who have crossed With direct eyes, to death's other Kingdom Remember us-if at all-not as lost Violent souls, but only As the hollow men The stuffed men. II Eyes I dare not meet in dreams In death's dream kingdom These do not appear: There, the eyes are Sunlight on a broken column There, is a tree swinging And voices are In the wind's singing More distant and more solemn Than a fading star. Let me be no nearer In death's dream kingdom Let me also wear Such deliberate disguises Rat's coat, crowskin, crossed staves In a field Behaving as the wind behaves No nearer- Not that final meeting In the twilight kingdom III This is the dead land This is cactus land Here the stone images Are raised, here they receive The supplication of a dead man's hand Under the twinkle of a fading star. Is it like this In death's other kingdom Waking alone At the hour when we are Trembling with tenderness Lips that would kiss Form prayers to broken stone. IV The eyes are not here There are no eyes here In this valley of dying stars In this hollow valley This broken jaw of our lost kingdoms In this last of meeting places We grope together And avoid speech Gathered on this beach of the tumid river Sightless, unless The eyes reappear As the perpetual star Multifoliate rose Of death's twilight kingdom The hope only Of empty men. V Here we go round the prickly pear Prickly pear prickly pear Here we go round the prickly pear At five o'clock in the morning. Between the idea And the reality Between the motion And the act Falls the Shadow For Thine is the Kingdom Between the conception And the creation Between the emotion And the response Falls the Shadow Life is very long Between the desire And the spasm Between the potency And the existence Between the essence And the descent Falls the Shadow For Thine is the Kingdom For Thine is Life is For Thine is the This is the way the world ends This is the way the world ends This is the way the world ends Not with a bang but a whimper.
  7. Japan should be on the forefront of this research. It’s disgusting how much single use plastic they consume.
  8. Of course half of them are British
  9. I kinda interpreted it as someone so privileged that they’ve developed tastes/interests so far out of the norm and there’s no one to tell them that it’s disgusting.
  10. Agreed on Pattinson, I thought he did a really good job and was def a highlight. As to things people may find offensive, I'm imagining it's from Ruffalo's caricature.
  11. Haven’t watched that video yet… but my instincts are that it’s not nearly as satisfying as I hope it will be.
  12. Wait are people really leaving because…
  13. Saw it at Alamo this afternoon. First of, haven’t seen a movie in theater since Barbenheimer… and it was actually quite fun. Missed the movie going experience and after watching the trailer for F1, def want to catch it again in theater. As to Mickey 17, solid B-, I found it entertaining but not in the same ballpark as Parasite. Love the sci-fi setting and the dystopian future is way too real these days. However, found Mark Ruffalo’s performance a bit too over the top, and Toni Collette was way under used.
  14. And now for something completely different… what a beautiful video essay
  15. Wonder if all the casino lobbyists are concerned.
  16. Well, the actress that opens episode 1 is certainly stunning… and all grown up from her brief appearance in Harry Potter.
  17. Whoah… that most recent episode.
  18. Not when the board is stacked with his brother and other sychophants.
  19. Yes! Season 2 Details
  20. I dunno about hate... but anger as an emotion can have positive qualities as well.

  22. Put Taiwanese whisky on your radar as well, pretty delicious
  23. If y’all like Chinese, Chef Hong is a really tasty dumpling/noodle food truck off W 24th.
  24. One of the few silver lining of going through this mess again...
  25. Lol from merriam-webster's website
