  1. I want neither sunshine pumping nor its opposite. Being negative for the sake of it is just as lame as being positive for the sake of it.
  2. And Jaxson Hayes signed by the Lakers https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/37943675/sources-lakers-agree-2-year-deal-jaxson-hayes
  3. Mowing the lawn earlier I remembered that my friend from growing up worked in the Cavs ticket office when LeBron was drafted. He was 6'6" so he used to play 1 on 1 with young LeBron for his first years in Cleveland Maybe we can get my old buddy Mike to replace Donewald?!?!?!
  4. For West Virginia’s Bob Huggins, an ending like this was inevitable https://theathletic.com/4624417/2023/06/20/bob-huggins-west-virginia-dui/
  5. Wasn’t Jai Lucas already on our staff when Shaka arrived? Shaka just kept him, right? Youre using a guy who was already on Barnes’s staff, thought to be critical to recruiting, and a current associate head coach at a major program as an example of Shaka bringing his unqualified assistants along for the ride? Huh?!?
  6. Again the opposite of sunshine pumping
  7. Seems like RT and Donewald just didn’t click. Doesn’t look like Donewald was leaving for greener pastures as he’s still unemployed. Leave it to our internet “experts” to turn a decision RT seems to have intentionally made to let Donewald go into a supposedly big L for RT
  8. I don't think anything I said was incorrect or out of bounds Y'all have a great night
  9. My man did you ever consider that 24 hours ago I was keeping myself from replying in order to not feed the beast? Or that, again, right here right now I will not engage and let it pass? I think I'm allowed to post my perspective, though. Derka has been arguing the worse case scenario for a half year now trying to look smart on a dumb message board. And has been wrong almost every time.
  10. My dude. You have been saying our team/RT is going to underachieve all year since Beard's dumbass got arrested. You've been one of the most pessimistic people on the board in 2023. And you've been wrong almost every time. It's a not a matter of sunshine pumping vs. realistic expectations. You've been doing the opposite of sunshine pumping for a half year now and been wrong almost every time so far.
  11. I had to hear for weeks about how losing Donewald was one of many signs that RT sucked and we were headed for a 3 year long disaster before we finally fired RT... ....and now this dude can't even get a job?!?!?!?!?
  12. If the guy is such a genius and losing him was such a big loss, why has no one else hired him?
  13. What's Donewald doing now? Seems sort of odd if he left without a future destination.
  14. 1) Now that the dust has settled I think any objective observer has to say that this first off-season has been a big success for RT 2) We’re returning 3 starters and our glue guy in addition to adding a number of impressive players on paper. My expectation is sweet 16 or better 🤘🏼
  15. They've convinced themselves that Beilein is on his way
  16. I signed up (I think on shaggy) when I was living there and didn’t put much thought into it id be more than happy to change the name but I think I’m stuck with it at this point. Hence why I’ve beat the joke into the ground. If you can’t beat ‘em join em
  17. It's not really a college town is the thing. Ann Arbor is a college town. Morgantown is a burnt out dilapidated West Virginia town with a college there. Morgantown has no independent movie theater, no independent bookstore, no cool record/music store, no museums, no art galleries, etc. etc. etc. It's just a bunch of shitty undergrad bars and then a couple nice bars & restaurants. The traffic is also all fucked and it can literally take an hour to drive 3 miles at certain times of day. Every day. It's fine for a day or two, but there's only a day or two worth of stuff to do there. There's a reason why Huggy's drunk ass was hanging out in Pittsburgh instead of Motown.
  18. You spent 2 nights there to drink and watch a sporting event. That's very different than living your life there. Literally everyone who can leave the town leaves the town. I came in with about 20-30 new professors about ten years ago. ONE is still there. Anyways it's not about me. I just don't think it's an attractive job unless you're on your way up or a Chris Beard like rehab situation.
  19. WVU is a fine job for a person on the rise. Go there and get the credentials to leave ASAP. That’s what I did. It’s what Beilen, Rich Rod, Holgs, etc did. It’s what Neal Brown is trying (and failing) to do Its an attractive job to someone on the rise but not an attractive job to a big name known quantity imo
  20. My simple comment was Shaka is not leaving Marquette for WVU because 1) Marquettes as good a job if not better, and 2) Milwaukee is a far better place to live But go ahead and twist that however you like!
  21. I mean I literally took what I thought was a dream job in Morgantown and left within 5 years because the place sucked so bad But ok y’all know way better than me Funny how y’all talk about what an appealing place Austin is while making a case for the UT job being great but ignore the flip side of that argument
  22. I’m into all that stuff Motown is still the shittiest place I’ve ever lived by far
