  1. Nice 2nd half to the 1st half. Finally making some 3s after a few bad shooting performances!
  2. Having lived in Motown for a while 😁, I think Huggins gets one more year. They love him there. He’s built up a lot of goodwill over the years. Another season like this one next year and he’s likely toast. I think he’d prefer to die on the court while coaching, though.
  3. Sister lives in Milwaukee. I was out there for the cam Ridley tip in W too (that’s our last W in the tournament, right? 8 F’in years ago 🤬)
  4. That's fair re: seeings. I personally have been disappointed in our performance for a decade now under both Barnes and Shaka. Others may disagree. I'll be very nervous next Thursday or Friday when we play. I know that much. Hopefully we're a 4 or 5 in Milwaukee and I get to see it in person with my kiddo.
  5. No I was in attendance during Barnes last game when we scored a whole 48 points against Butler in Pittsburgh. I still have PTSD from that Also you've got it backwards. We were 1-2 in the opening round in Barnes' last 3 Texas tournament appearances. Not 2-1. Lost to Cincy in 2012, didn't make the tournament in 2013, beat AZ State thanks to a last second tip in from Cam Ridley in 2014 (I was also in attendance for that), and lost to Butler in 2015. We've lost in the opening round in 6 out of our last 8 tournament appearances after the Elite Eight run. Barnes lost 3 of those and Shaka lost 3. Maybe you should admit simple reality that we all watched with our own eyes? Barnes and Shaka both shit the bed as tournament coaches at Texas over the last decade. That's why Barnes coaches in Knoxville instead of Austin now. Once again, it's allowed for late era Barnes and Shaka to both suck. You don't have to pick one as your favorite and pretend that they didn't both suck. They both sucked and I, for one, still have PTSD from both of them sucking over the last decade.
  6. Us as a 5 doesn’t make me feel great given that a 12 almost always knocks off 5 We all have PTSD from the last decade of Longhorn tournament performances, though
  7. I never said I bet on them. I just said they covered the spread
  8. It’s amazing how butthurt some of you get by a coach winning some basketball games
  9. Good news everyone! Marquette covered last night! 💰
  10. Sort of like Jericho Sims. So talented but a big mental block. Hopefully Beard can get his head right and build up his confidence
  11. Huh? Do you disagree that our team had multiple opportunities to win the game but didn't capitalize? I don't really see how Shaka has anything to do with that, you petulant little child.
  12. We had PLENTY of opportunities to win and didn’t take advantage of any of them. Jump ball was a BS call but it shouldn’t have mattered
  13. combine that with the atrocious 3 point shooting and it’s like Shaka never left!
  14. Oh good Frans on the call. Can’t wait to hear about how a 3 point lead feels like a 10 point lead a few dozen times today! also the old “we call it/him _______” when no one calls it/him that other than Fran
  15. A number of complex rules govern the seeding process, so it is not as simple as merely following the S-curve, although that is the top priority according to the NCAA's rules.[14] Better teams have priority in remaining close to home, but no hosting institution's team can actually play at the location where the institution is hosting tournament games (generally, games are hosted on neutral courts, so this is not usually a problem). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_basketball_tournament_selection_process
  16. Seed — 68 teams earn bids to the NCAA tournament, and each one receives a seed — from 1 to 16 —that determines where the team will be placed in the bracket. After the First Four, there are four of every seed. The seeds are also ranked overall from 1 to 68. This overall ranking affects the order in which team locations are selected (with higher-ranked teams getting preference), https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/bracketiq/2021-03-14/what-march-madness-ncaa-tournament-explained
  17. Just FTR I don't really care at all. Sorry to disappoint you!
  18. Good one! Thinking about it Marquette won’t be there because they’ll be seeded lower than 8 and thus have to play a higher seed in the round of 32 (hypothetically, of course! 😉)
  19. Isnt the rule that you get to stay close to home as long as you're favored in both potential matchups? I'm heading out to Milwaukee for the opening weekend and fully expecting to see Wisconsin and maybe Marquette
  20. We seem to have at least one, if not two, 5 minute scoring droughts every single game.
  21. We’ve had so many chances to build a decent lead and just keep blowing them
  22. Let’s build some momentum after Saturday’s gritty win in Motown!
