  1. There are 70-75M baby boomers in this country. Let's just hope a lot of those fuckers drop dead soon. Not sure that will fix the issue but I naively hope so. One day the Rs won't be able to win with a platform that caters exclusively to old white boomers and uneducated bigots.
  2. Disagree. I am being redundant but win AZ, Omaha, MI, Wi and PA doesn't matter. We got dis.
  3. At least you didn't drown that in a massive fancy ice cube like some of these savages.
  4. . You fuckers need to take a toke or two. AZ and Omaha still look promising which makes PA moot assuming WI & MI go Dem.
  5. If Biden loses AZ and Omaha then start googling the immigration requirements for your country of choice. Until then, pour another drink and unclench a bit.
  6. Bo Pelini had elite defenses in 2009 & 10 then never had one ranked better than #42 the rest of his time at NU. LSU decided a decade later he still must be a defensive genius despite evidence to the contrary and signed him to a 6.9M 3 year deal without a buyout. Fire him after this year and they still owe him 4.6M. NU paid him 6.5M to go away and LSU might pay him an additional 4.6M. This troglodyte might get paid ~11M just to sit at home and not lose football games all told.
  7. Another stellar effort by a Bo Pelini coached D. After giving up 623 yards passing vs. MSU his defense allows Missouri's offense to gouge them for 586 total yards. Missouri was 0-2 going into the game. 😆🤣
  8. Enabling, overlooking, accommodating are some words I would contribute. A surge in voting participation isn't occurring because the populace is that inspired by Biden. Rather, it is a condemnation of Trump and those that have failed to challenge him appropriately.
  9. ""I've played a couple of hundred games of tic-tac-toe with my little daughter and she hasn't beaten me yet." "When I knocked a guy down, there was no second part to the story." Tim McCarver (Cards Catcher) once went to the mound when Bob Gibson was pitching and was quickly told to return. “The only thing you know about pitching is that you can’t hit it.” One night Dusty Baker saw Gibson eating in a restaurant. His teammates encouraged him to walk over and say hello. “It’s OK,” they told him. “It’s away from the field. This is a good time. Bob will be happy to talk.” Then, while those teammates snickered, Baker and his wife walked over and, Dusty said, “Excuse me, Mr. Gibson.” And Gibson looked up and without even a hint of a smile he snarled, “Why the *$*#&$* should I talk to you?” Then he looked past Dusty, to his wife, and said, “It’s very nice to meet you Mrs. Baker.” I grew up a Cards fan and was in awe about the stories I heard about Gibson. Between his amazing accomplishments and the endless anecdotes he was nearly a demigod in my childhood mind. Not sure how he would manage in today's game but he is revered, changed the rules of the game with his greatness, and will be missed.
  10. So it's like if Final Destination was a feel good movie?
  11. "You know, throughout history, I bet every old man probably said the same thing. And old men die, and the world keeps spinning."
  12. Between their uniforms, tormented history, small market, and drunken tailgate shenanigans the Bills are easy to route for. They have been building a really good team there for a few years however Josh Allen was pretty mediocre to poor. Does he not suck anymore? His numbers through the first 10 quarters are fantastic.
  13. I just love Pelini misery and couldn't help posting again. His defenses now own two all time conference records: BIG most rushing yards by one player in a game (408) and SEC most passing yards by one player in a game (623). As his career inevitably continues to spiral down the drain I pray a PAC or ACC school will hire him as a special teams coordinator so he can accomplish a failure trifecta.
  14. Watching a Bo Pelini defense get torn apart without any in game adjustments never gets old. Also, while the Pirate likely isn't going to win conference championships it will be awesome watching him ruin SEC undefeated seasons. The SEC will make sure to keep him away from their preseason title hopefuls schedules if at all possible by year two.
  15. Going to disagree with everything you typed above. NU went 2-5 after getting their shit pushed in on national TV vs. Ohio State last year. I don't think the physical and mental butt kickings are really that beneficial for the team. I'm not suggesting NU should pack their schedule with FCS schools however asking for a schedule that is comparable to what Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota will be playing this fall is reasonable. Get a W or two more, build some team confidence, and offer some hope to sell recruits on.
  16. I sure as fucking hell care. NU is coming off three straight losing seasons and are the only team in the West that draws 2 of the 3 East powerhouse programs in a shortened season. Not only that, they play the AP preseason #2, #7, #12 teams in 3 of first 4 games. This schedule is a B1G FU from the conference. Not getting along with our new conference overlords certainly should amuse a few people around here though.
  17. I used to think, maybe naively, I was independent. At this point I can dispense of that thought/illunsion as I am certainly not independent any longer. The republican party is without ethics or principles and will stoop to any level to ensure they stay in power and force their agenda on this country. I really hope Texas turns blue somehow in my lifetime rendering Republican presidential nominees completely fucked.
  18. Any suggestions on where to stay in Turks & Caicos? Open to small resorts or nice private rentals. Feedback appreciated as I outsource most of my life decisions to this group (or at least those that were previously on Shaggy).
  19. I won't miss Lamar Jackson next year. Dude hasn't matured a bit in 4 seasons.
  20. Piggybacking on this thread. Moving to Colorado early next year for work. Will be working in Loveland and looking for recommendations on where to live in Northern Colorado. Interested in walkable areas in smallish towns or having some land near the mountains. Have considered Longmont and Fort Collins for walkable options but no clue regarding mountain area options. Would like to limit my commute to Loveland to 35-40 mins each way. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
  21. What is with all of these NU players in Colorado's backfield? Bob Diaco does not approve.
  22. Love that he didn't force the throw. Play wasn't there, pull the ball down and get a few yards.
