  1. Managed to survive a week of MTB across Colorado without serious injury. Rode in Crested Butte, Ouray, Durango, and Monte Vista. Crested Butte was the prettiest but Durango was the most fun without a doubt. We either rode or hiked 3-5 hours daily then refueled on pizza and craft brews every evening.
  2. Heading to Crested Butte, Ouray, and Durango for a week. Anybody with trail experience in any of these places? Mostly stick to blue and blue/black.
  3. If you have to ask.....
  4. Over/Under on both games tonight was ~39. Still beats Monday nights in March.
  5. Couldn't see the injury but the crowd response to the in stadium replay certainly paints a grim picture

  7. The average bible is 1200 pages long. Just give me the cliffs notes and provide me the speaking points to justify my prejudices. I have bud light miller lite to drink with my racist/uneducated/PTA neighbors
  8. You didn't state otherwise, but I'm confident the number of people sexually assaulted without the perpetrator being punished is 10,000x the number of those falsely accused. Like Mike Gundy, I'm a man, and I've never met a single person in my life that has shared with me they were falsely accused. Sadly, I know a lot of people that were sexually abused though.
  9. Well done, that's a deep cut. Sadly I've read several books, as required, with Ron Vara BS quotes.
  10. The Gravy SEALs can’t have Kool-Aid, diabetes and all.
  11. I’ve shared this before but Dr. Dickhead was my graduate school Macroeconomics professor. Most of his assigned readings were his own books that had very little to do with Macroeconomics. He was an insane narcissist and the entire class hated him. Nobody I went with school with is surprised his story is unfolding like this. Cool starry bra.
  12. UCLA sounds pretty similar actually. Obviously much better recruiting grounds and your lows haven't been to CU levels. But, UCLA has been pretty mediocre for 30 years and is overshadowed by USC. Deion in LA would be quite an event.
  13. Pretty much the bolded part. NUs D looked solid last week. They seemed to understand the system and be in the right place to make plays. That said, they didn't get into the backfield much to disrupt anything. The Offense was a hot mess. Couldn't run the ball outside of the QB and certainly couldn't pass. It was 4 quarters of wildcat. I don't think the OLine is good enough to sustain long drives and gradually wear CU down. I don't see any way NUs offense scores more than 17 points. CU will need to turn the ball over a lot for NU to win.
  14. Back to Steamboat, CO this past weekend. Some memorable riding. Day 2 the group I was with ascended a mountain in ~90 mins with 1500' gain in elevation. I was feeling good and decided to drop down the backside of the mountain on my own then climb back to the peak. When I got to the bottom I spotted a black bear off trail. Watched in awe for awhile then realized I wasn't at the top of the food chain any longer, I was completely alone, and I had a 90 minute climb out before I was around anyone. The second climb of the day was full of paranoia and anxiety thinking every shadow was a bear. I completed the ride which was 4 hours in total, 23 miles, and ~3000' of climbing. I bonked hard afterwards and felt terrible for hours. My body was up for the challenge but I don't have appropriate knowledge regarding refueling. Certainly a painful lesson. Nonetheless, a guilt free burger and several IPAs later helped.
  15. Except the starting QB has thrown 2 ints tonight with one fluke TD pass. Casey isn’t starting because he couldn’t run for 100 and stay healthy.
  16. When NU was in the Big 12 and I wondered why anyone would watch a boring Big 10 game. After watching NU play in the Big 10 for a decade, I still wonder that. I rarely watch conference games that don't involve NU.
  17. That looks a lot more tempting than a November home game.
  18. NU can't get off the field on 3rd down in the 1st quarter. Bet Minnesota picked up 65% of them.
  19. 0-0 in first after one offensive series each.
  20. Interested to see how Minnesota performs this year. I think Fleck has used the same starting QB for the entire time he is been there. Kid started as a freshmen, got a COVID season, and a medical redshirt season. I believe they had several other long tenured players graduate too. As for NU, can't get much worse. The team should have enough talent to be competitive with most of their schedule and game day coaching hopefully will improve. That said, new system and little depth in some key spots.
  21. That helps to know. I was surprised to learn my pain tolerance wasn't what I thought it was. To be accurate, we did take breaks. I believe the actual needle time was ~6.5 hours. I was really shocked at how much that hurt over the last 90 mins.
