Help me understand—
You win a NC at one of the top P4 athletic departments in the country. A school with no national championships thinks it has what it takes to get you to come to them all because of more money when the program you built just achieved the goal of the national title?
So they basically told Vitello “we know we aren’t on the same level as Tennessee because of the championships but we have a lot of money!” And that was their pitch?
When was the last time a coach in any sport won the national championship and then left that school for a school with no championships at all?
I mean, for Aggy that's actually pretty impressive. Admitted their program is a historical dumpster fire and said it was all about the money (nevermind there was a 0% chance Tennessee wouldn't match if Vitello ever considered it).

Did Tennessee remember to replace the horseshoe up their ass from the first FSU game? Doesn't look like it so far.

the bubble thing has to be the stupidest fucking thing amongst all the stupid fucking things the retards do.
I'd vote for crushing their own nuts to share the pain of the football team, but there's a non-zero chance that's contributed to at least a few of them being unable to reproduce...so I'll allow it.

I blame myself. Let's try this again.
1. Aggy
2. Tennessee
3. Meteor
4. Championship series cancelled after Schloss and Vitello both quit prior to game 1 to become co-head coaches at Texas and both fan bases riot.

FSU coach? I don’t even know his name but has he been on anybody’s list?
Born in Tallahassee, played at FSU, was briefly an assistant at FSU at the beginning of his career. I'm sure he'd be on a list if it was a reasonable assumption they could get him. He's Mitch Canham with a stable power conference, CWS appearance, and a school that can probably match an offer sheet.

From SECRANT:
Per radio reports (I dont have a link).
They said it will be announced after the CWS is over.
Poor Texas and Pig fans.
Why should Arkansas fans be disappointed, is Arkansas really viewed as a definitively better job/program than Tennessee?

Balcones is alright in general. Maybe he's just tired of everyone running down the coaching staff, players, and the team.
And Mack was still alright in general the last few years aside from putting no effort into scouting/recruiting.

That checked swing call/no call will get a lot noise after this game.
Especially if Tenn wins.
Meh, FSU pitcher did more then enough bed shitting on his own before that call. Bases empty, 2-run lead and you only need 2 more outs? Do your fucking job, yes, job. You're undoubtedly getting paid.

Go FSU. Vitello is a complete jackass. Regardless of whether or not he ends of taking the Texas job, it would be glorious to see him fail again this CWS.

Pulling for Wolfpack. I thought they got royally fucked in that covid deal, and it would be a sweet story for them to prevail this time.
Nobody but ACC and SEC... sort of tells the tale, ain't it?
Same jackass coach is still there. Not going to cheer against the team outright, but I don't exactly wish success for the coach either.

I missed that. What happened to them?
They forfeited against Vandy in the CWS semis because their coach decided not to have players vaccinated if they so chose and they had a Covid outbreak in Omaha. Fucked around and found out.

Hurley seems to like coaching at a place like UConn and can probably name his price to stay for the rest of his career. Barring an absolute series of scandals or implosion of the program, he's on the Coach K/Duke track until he chooses to retire.

That might be the best long-term result for Oregon State. Making Omaha this year makes Canham look more viable for whatever ACC/SEC school gets their coach poached by Texas.
Canham seems like a solid young coach and Oregon State needs to keep him and try to stave off the baseball program imploding without a P5 affiliation.

That poor dude, a senior, has to live with that the rest of his life if they don’t pull this out
Even if Oregon State somehow pulls this game out and wins again tomorrow, that play has nothing on the Arkansas missed pop-up in 2018.

Lulz Clemson. From being up 4-1 on Florida to trailing 9-4 now. We still want Bakich?
Who does Texas want at this point? Apparently, Bakich is a choker, Jay Johnson only won because of Skenes, and both Vitello and Schloss have personality issues.
Who is this mythical candidate that has the correct attitude, has skins on the wall, can recruit at a high level but doesn't need them to win, and doesn't have down years?

I want to see their schedule but they claim to be an independent next year. That's going to be a lot of road trips.
High risk-reward there, but probably necessary. WCC is pretty weak so they'd have to schedule a really strong OOC anyway to be in contention for national seeds or hosting in general.
If they make it work, maybe in a few years they get a baseball only invite for a better league.

Pretty sure they're playing in the WCC.
For other sports, yes. They declined to join in baseball, at least for the 2025 season.

Canham is an alumni and not only that from their two NC teams......the only thing I think gives Texas a real edge is that the PAC 12 has fallen apart, but the flip side to that is baseball is still a sport that G5 programs and programs that have little to no football (especially on the west coast) can still do very well in.....Oregon State can probably afford to pay him to stay in that particular sport if they want to and if they do not want to watch a similar situation to Oregon and Softball happen to them with Texas.....plus Texas and Texas into the SEC SEC SEC is a long way from "home" for him
I would not be surprised to see Pierce get one more year.....similar to when he was hired there are just no home run hires out there right now
If Pierce does stick around one more year, Canham could be ready to leave if Oregon State can't pull together a decent schedule as an independent.

There will never be a line in the sand. Trump's 1st term provided more than enough evidence that he's completely unfit for office. The "undecided" voters will continue to do whatever mental gymnastics necessary to justify voting for Trump/3rd party until the country/world no longer exists.
