  1. I'm not sure if extra money will really do much to elevate the BYU football program. Their recruiting advantages and disadvantages mostly revolve around the Mormon church and will continue to do so. UCF seems like the program that could really elevate itself with more revenue.
  2. I'm sort of toying with the idea that he might be better than Brady, but he'd need to win the next 2 to get me there.
  3. If Mahomes wins a super bowl next year, I would be comfortable saying he's number 2 all time.
  4. Mahomes is just the 12th quarterback to win 2 or more super bowls, so I don't really think top 10 all time talk is all that outrageous. He's started 5 seasons and played in 5 AFC championship games. He's never had to play a road playoff game. He's been to 3 super bowls, winning 2. That's ridiculous.
  5. Sure do. But if you can get the whole theater to yourself, you don't need it. You actually CAN have your popcorn and eat it, too.
  6. I only go at odd times for shows that don't really need the big screen and surround sound, in hopes that I get the whole auditorium for me and my lady friend.
  7. I think they are doing both.
  8. The show definitely needed some sort of explanation for the significance of the green dress, but providing it as the dress was being revealed was lazy writing. Should have had a conversation an episode or two earlier talking about the different colors of flame and what they mean, sort of how Game of Thrones explained a whole lot of things with Jon Snow's conversations with the maester at the wall.
  9. I think it would have made more sense if the insects infected with cordyceps would have started attacking humans.
  10. Yeah, I also thought that was a pretty big plot hole.
  11. Kansas/KSU: Winner gets a bouquet of sunflowers and a big ass box of chocolate chip cookies, plus 20 gallons of milk. BYU/Baylor: If BYU wins, Baylor has to display a book of Mormon in a prominent location on campus. If Baylor wins, same thing but it's a regular bible and not King James version. KSU/ISU: Winner gets presented with 100 pounds of cornbread and two industrial sized tubs of butter. OSU/Tech: The loser has to supply all of the clowns at the winner's next school rodeo.
  12. Probably smart of the conference to try to help OSU as much as they can. That's a program that will get some benefit of the doubt from the national media, despite having a roster that looks like it could finish 14th in the conference.
  13. Expansion didn't make sense until Texas and OU were leaving. Why would you give up a true round robin for any two of the four teams that got added? If Texas and OU would have stayed, we would be getting ready to add Oregon and Washington.
  14. They have all of the resources to succeed, but it's entirely possible that Venables sucks and they end up taking a walk through the wilderness for a decade or two trying to find a coach to turn things back around.
  15. Yeah, I really don't see how the league could have been more accommodating, short of having different schools that made more money. The schools in the conference have done everything they possibly can to keep Texas happy.
  16. I'm curious how you believe the Big 12 was giving the middle finger to Texas. They allowed unequal revenue sharing for a very long time when all other conferences split revenue equally. They allowed schools to keep all tier 3 revenue and allowed Texas to have their own network when no other conference would have even considered that. Frankly, the biggest anti-Texas voices in the conference bailed, and now Texas is leaving to rejoin one of them. Texas has been kneecapping themselves competitively all on their own.
  17. This isn't a reboot of Scooby Doo. It's a show dedicated to mocking Scooby Doo.
  18. TCU will still be TCU, even if they win. Georgia will regularly get recruits that Texas wants. TCU won't.
  19. I don't understand how anyone could watch TCU play Michigan and still believe that Michigan is bigger and more physical up front. I don't know who is bigger, but TCU completely dominated the LOS.
  20. Yeah, Deuce has commercial money, merchandise sales, and a deal that lets him drive a Porsche around Manhattan. I could see NIL pulling non-skill position players from mid-level programs to blue bloods, but I really don't see standout stars leaving.
  21. Honestly, I wouldn't put it past the Gaetz crew to intentionally cast just the right amount of votes for McCarthy to create a tie if they went to a plurality vote. It wouldn't be hard to do, given that the vote doesn't have many hard and fast rules and you can change votes after the initial count.
  22. None of the 20 holdouts are going to admit to the McCarthy camp that they would change their vote. It's going to take a leap of faith to go for a plurality vote.
  23. On the 13th vote, JFK Jr. will get nominated. He won't win then, but he will eventually prevail and only then will he reveal himself. At that point, even the democrats will be true believers and they will all fall in line to impeach Biden and Kamala, then install Jr. Trump will be appointed vice president.
  24. The magas are better off allowing Jeffries to win than dealing with McCarthy at this point. He's not going to forget this embarrassment. Plus, they will always have enough votes to recall Jeffries.
  25. Jeffries winning would be funny, but the Rs would get their shit together enough to recall him within a week, and then still not be able to get anyone elected.
