  1. Jack Black is a decent human being and Ted Nugent is a shit stain.
  2. I think someone who can put their words together and stay up past 8 pm would be an improvement.
  3. Imagine being a major shareholder of Tesla and watching your CEO pledge hundreds of millions of dollars towards a candidate that wants to get rid of EV subsidies and have gas subsidies instead.
  4. It's what's been happening since Columbine. But I would agree that making the president a dictator makes violence from people who are actually politically motivated a lot more likely.
  5. I think it's worth noting that this shooting happened in a gun-free zone. If the secret service would stop disarming all of the good people with guns at Trump rallies, he'd probably be a whole lot safer. It's worth trying, anyway.
  6. Spreading this image probably loses Trump more votes than anything else you can do.
  7. I don't think it will be any more dangerous than any high school in America during the school day.
  8. Yeah. Classmates are saying the kid was relentlessly bullied. Doesn't appear to have any solid life prospects. Makes more sense that he wanted to go down in a mass shooting event than it does that he was radicalized against the party he registered for so much that he decided to kill their candidate ahead of the first election he was even old enough to vote in.
  9. Most people in this country don't really have a vote for president that matters. So it's really easy to hold your nose and vote third party, even if the third party candidate can't hold his nose because too many crayons are jammed up it. The vote doesn't matter anyway, and they don't want to vote for the child rapist or the senile old man. They want to ensure they vote for a loser so it's not their fault.
  10. Because the people voting for democrats want a better candidate and the people voting for republicans would sacrifice their children for Trump.
  11. On Biden's part, sure. On the Democrats' part, it at least gives them a chance to get a better candidate.
  12. Trump got barraged with all sorts of "is this guy really this much of a fucking moron or is it all an act?" from his announcement all the way up to the election, and it only helped him.
  13. Any non-Biden democratic candidate that comes out of the convention is going to get the type of media coverage that Trump had in 2016. It's something that hasn't happened in any of our lifetimes, and it's going to be big news. That takes care of the name recognition problem. And she already has recognition and popularity in key rust belt states that are required to win the election. Compare that to Biden limiting his exposure and trying to hold on until November when he doesn't even have the lead. I would like any non-Biden democrat's chances of winning. I don't like Biden's chances at all.
  14. She's got more upside than any of the other candidates. Just about anyone but Biden is all but guaranteed to gain support as the media starts covering them and people learn their names.
  15. He's supposed to treat it like what would have happened if the allies would have lost to Hitler. Losing is not an option, and he has to win at any cost.
  16. Trump was losing all the way up to election day, but he made up ground by being on the news every day, holding televised rallies, and generally being as visible as possible. We are asking Joe Biden to make up ground by making himself invisible, limiting his appearances, and treating 8 pm like midnight on Gremlins.
  17. If Joe Biden were up 5 or 6 points, holding onto him would make sense. He's losing right now, though. How on earth do people think he's going to make up ground by taking the occasional interview, praying he doesn't fuck everything up, and then hobbling on to the next one a few weeks later?
  18. I'm not sure ABC has any reason to edit this interview in his favor. Biden stepping down would be a ratings bonanza.
  19. I expect Biden to come out apologizing for his poor debate performance. Probably will claim he screwed it up and made some mistakes. The problem is that he didn't really make mistakes at the debate. He didn't come across as poorly prepared to me. He came across as forgetting what the point he had started to make 2 seconds ago was and being unable to finish his sentences or use his time. He can't fix that and get better. And even if he could, it wouldn't matter because there is no way Trump will debate him again and even give him the chance to look better.
  20. He hasn't lost his mind. He's just always been that completely fucking stupid.
  21. De Santis tried debating Newsome and brought out his poop map, but I don't think it ended up being as effective as he thought it was going to be.
  22. Whitmer has name recognition in the region that actually elects the president. She would have to completely shit the bed to lose Michigan and she probably has better odds in Pennsylvania than anyone else.
