  2. 417 Union does good breakfast. That’s the name of the restaurant, not the address. It’s a couple blocks off Broadway. The bars on Broadway are great when it’s 2 in the afternoon on a weekday and there’s some up-and-coming kid with a guitar singing all the cover songs you love and one or two of his own. One of my favorite times down there was watching some dude play all the Johnny Cash tunes on a homemade electric cello that was all beat to shit and duct taped together. Watching him shred on that thing and drinking $1 PBRs was a fun afternoon But during prime entertainment hours, Friday and Saturday nights, etc. it’s a complete shit show. It’s like dirty 6th but more crowded. SEC frat boys, 50-something inbred couples on vacation from Alabama, and bro country douches with bedazzled jeans, and the street and sidewalks completely packed.
  3. Aggies would threaten to set their water tower on fire.
  4. I usually only go to one game or so a year but I have never parked in a garage, always street parking. Even if you park a mile from the stadium you're looking at a 20 minute walk. Unless you're handicapped, I don't see the appeal of garage parking at all. And if you end up further than you want to walk there are pedicabs that are still a much better deal than garage fees and still way faster.
  5. The world owes Cam Rising a debt of gratitude.
  6. Brad Pitt sucks.
  7. I don’t know a whole lot about the PCT. Do you pass through many towns? Is there a network of common places to resupply like on the AT? How about water resupply spots? Do you primarily find and filter as you go?
  8. Cleared to play includes cleared to be hit If they think he’s one hit away from re-injury they won’t clear him to play.
  9. If you could give us a quick summary of everything you saw and did from day one until the end that would be great. Seriously though, post up some pics, tell us some stories. Would love to hear more about it.
  10. Kyler called that guy's wife GI Jane.
  11. Fuck Venables, but more power to him if they're just observing and deciphering. Interesting read about it... Seems like the majority of coaches acknowledge it happens all the time and don't really care. https://scholarship.law.marquette.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1824&context=sportslaw#:~:text=College football is not the, what constitutes illegal sign stealing.
  12. Edited: I misread your post.
  13. I hope by the end of the day today, whoever actually wears #22 on their team is really pissed that some RTF student/team manager portrayed him and used him as bait in that thing.
  14. If you carry too much fuel you’ll be too heavy for landing. The max landing weight is lower than the max takeoff weight. You have to burn the majority that you takeoff with most of the time. So you generally take enough to get to destination, plus the alternate, plus a little bit in reserve, but not too much.
  15. That has to be a Longhorn trolling them. Right?
  16. Anybody got Bob Stoops private jet on flight aware yet?
  17. White hat guy in the background is the best part of the skit. Aggie being laughed at on the national stage is always a good thing.
  18. Austin High will never be a powerhouse with a bunch of Tarrytown and downtown condo kids but Mike Rosenthal knows a thing or two about football players and had a nearly decade long career in the NFL. Every coach is going to rep his guys but I’m going to believe this take.
  19. We should merge this airport thread with the Tell Me About ATM thread.
  20. Emory is totally doable for the average person. I think the big difference would be that fitter people will do it faster. I’ve only been up it one time and it was last year. It’s a long day hike and it’s uphill all the way out and downhill all the way back. To the tune of several thousand feet I guess. I will say that the rocky climb at the very top was much more technical than I thought it was going to be. About half the people that reached the summit when we did opted not to scramble up the rocks at the end to the very top. I’m surprised they don’t have a broken ankle or two every week up there.
  21. That video is cringier than enchiladas from Detroit.
  22. Hardly a day goes by in winter that I don’t wear my nano puff jacket. It was a little pricey but I’ve had it at least 7 or 8 years now. The lightest, most comfortable thing ever for mild winters in Texas or real winters elsewhere with another layer. The weight to warmth ratio is perfect. I’ve mountain biked with it on frosty days, snowboarded in it with another layer, banged girls that told me they were tired of guys who wear hoodies from Ross in it, sat on cold bleachers with it for kids sports, but mostly it’s just always kept wadded up on the backseat ready for whatever. Probably have more days wearing it than any other piece of clothing I’ve owned.
  23. Had a similar thing happen with a co-worker in San Luis Potisi. Her first time in Mexico. She wanted queso. I tried telling her that’s an American thing. Tex-Mex but not real Mexican, but she wasn’t hearing it. They brought her plate of grated cheese. She insisted they melt it so they put that same plate in the microwave and brought it back to her. It was embarrassing to be at the same table.
  24. My medical expert on shoulders (random guy I’ve never met on the internet) is saying the 9.95ers have botched this recovery timeline from the get-go and that 1-2 weeks out is more likely. I’m no ortho doc but I’m eating breakfast in a Reno casino right now and I choose to believe this.
