  1. Lol not that he ever had them contained, but his marbles have rolled under the couch and behind the hutch. Watching him melt down is insanely cathartic
  2. We, the black delegation, approve of this ruling.
  3. Oktoberfest marzen season is upon us, friends. Prost!
  4. I ain't watch no librul medjia PBS! -Maga turd
  5. I actually think that's why it worked for me. You could see how good he was at certain aspects, like when the prostitute and her henchmen pay him a visit and he handles it in short order. But there's also the other side of coin with the botched hit with Muncie. I thought it worked well. Keaton is such a fantastic actor who probably doesn't get the accolades he deserves.
  6. I had to stop listening since he refuses to shut the fuck up about covid/fauci/vaccines while scratching his nuts from the safety of several acres of Austin land. It irks me to no end as the husband of an ICU nurse who worked ground fucking zero in the worst conditions imaginable. Patients lining the hallway floors bc rooms were over capacity. My wife hauling bodies daily down to the morgue. Her having to "disinfect" herself outside before she could ever step inside her home. Being fearful of hugging and kissing your own children after dealing with death and sickness. His shtick doesn't play well with me, and this comes from someone who used to listen religiously precovid. I even went to see him live at the American Airlines Center in Dallas back in 2018 and had a hell of a time. His steady decline to right wing conspiracy and refusal have on anyone who might challenge his line of thinking makes it impossible to listen. Probably why he hasn't had Bill Burr on in years, because he absolutely eviscerated Joe's idiot mentality last time he was on.
  7. I watched it from start to finish (including the movie) a couple years ago while I was working from home. Drama is so fucking funny and, honestly, Ari makes the show. You will absolutely loathe Seth Green by the end of it lol. Such a great show, have fun.
  8. Exactly, they will twist and contort any scenario to fit what angers the gumps that watch that shit non stop anyway. Fuck what they think #teamwalz
  9. He's such a fucking doofus. There's nothing short of a Mack Brown-esque fall from grace and subsequent burning the house down as he leaves in the near future.
  10. Does anyone know if any boat storage facilities that are less than 200/month? I've gotten one quote for 175 but it's in Rockport and a lot of these places have no online presence for me to email and calls go unanswered. Second, if anyone wants to show me around the bay for fishing which includes beer and dinner once we get done I'd be happy to provide. We could also work out fees for time on the water.
  11. I need to hit this place up. I made an honest effort one Sunday at like 3 with my fam but they were already closing up when I got there. Gonna try again at a better day and time ASAP
  12. My first bottles I purchased were four roses small batch select, legent, and old forester 1910. A very good place to start IMO.
  13. That's good to hear, especially if any medication could possibly just be a short term thing. "We had a conference and I quite bluntly asked, "Are we doing this because it will help him, or because it will help the teacher deal with him?" I didn't want to do it if the answer was the latter, but everyone (including my wife) said it would help him focus better and I can see it has." ^This is exactly the conversations I've been having with my wife. Who's this really for, and is his lack of focus extreme enough that it's our best option. We've had two meetings (standard, progress report meetings rather than anything disciplinary) with the teacher and the second one with the counselor present. I part of me thinks that he would benefit from an older, more experienced patience-wise teacher. The one he has now, while nice, is very young and I think still trying to get her bearings. I may continue talking with the counselor and see how he does with his 3rd grade work and behavior before making any hard decisions.
  14. So, the 8yo has been having quite the tough year in 2nd grade. He has ADHD, but until now it's been largely fine just us needing to steer him to the correct direction. This year his teacher sends home a folder with their behavior noted throughout the course of the day. Smiley face for good day, "OT" for off task and "DO" for distracting others. The vast majority of days he gets an OT which isn't necessarily a problem yet because he's still testing well with above average math and reading skills. His everyday class and homework is an entirely different issue. He'll do the bare minimum on most work, fill in a wrong and poorly thought out answer, if not outright skipping it altogether. When it all gets sent home and I look through it I'll have him sit down with me and try to answer or correct what he has and he seems to do okay understanding what he's supposed to do but simply doesn't for whatever reason. My guess is he simply wants to be anywhere else but in class while actual learning is going on. We've talked with the counselor and teacher and we do have him on the disability plan but my wife and I both agree that his teacher doesn't have the patience required of him, which I don't really blame her for. It's incredibly hard to juggle 20 wild-ass 2nd graders on a daily basis. For background, he's an incredibly sensitive kid who is quick to get his feelings hurt, storm off and cry. He's never gotten physical or tried to hurt himself or others which is good. He wants desperately for every kid in the world to like him, so if he's not getting the attention he craves he'll badger the other kids until they tell him to fuck off. We've tried therapy for his confidence, sensitivity, and ADHD issues but found the therapist was just letting play through the whole session while not really getting to any rooted issues or offering suggestions we could take home and use. She never mentioned if he simply wasn't offering anything in terms of how he feels, but if he wasn't I would think that's a pretty big thing to tell parents. He's my pride and joy and I'd rather not get him on any medication but some serious leaps need to be made in his focus levels before it starts affecting his grades. 3rd grade will be an insane leap as far as the demands required of the schoolwork. Most importantly, I want him to have the confidence and belief in himself that he can do anything. Aside from telling him how much I love him every day and how proud I am of him on anything he does well, I'm pretty stumped on what else to do. Any surly dad's have a similar situation? Suggestions? Also, I know this is a loaded issue with a lot of nuance and variables but if there's any questions I can answer I will.
  15. Voodoo heat are my go to chips when I order from potbelly
  16. I saw it when I was like 12 (way too young), and cried. I saw it a couple more times as a grown ass man and cried then too. It's so fucking powerful, from the acting to the musical score, just perfect.
  17. Surprised it hasn't been mentioned but the scene in Glory where Denzel gets whipped for leaving to go get biscuits has me in absolute fits every time I see it. Between that and the final battle scene its pretty much made for grown folks to be bawling throughout it.
  18. There will be 4 within your line of sight at all times. I used to do NIOSA back in college. Drunk fights and trashy people just aren't my thing and like Lebong James said above, big crowds are just an instant avoid at his point of my life.
  19. This was one of the best mini series I've seen. Chilling ambiance, great acting, and insane tension throughout. My buddies and I still talk about it.
  20. Watched the first ep tonight and was fucking dying laughing.
