YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) - A bison has gored a 25-year-old woman in Yellowstone National Park.

A park statement says the bison was walking near a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, just north of Old Faithful, when the woman approached it Monday. She got within 10 feet before the animal gored her and tossed her 10 feet into the air.

The woman from Grove City, Ohio, sustained a puncture wound and other injuries.

Park emergency medical providers responded and transported her via ambulance to a hospital in Idaho.

Park officials say it’s the first reported bison goring this year.

Park regulations require visitors to remain more than 25 yards away from bison.

I am surprised you don't see reports like this every day from Yellowstone.  People will get out of their cars and stand in the midst of these behemoths.  I was recall this when talking about stupidity there.  This and the time I saw about 20 people standing around a tree taking pictures of a black bear cub.  My wife wanted to get out.  Basically said, 'No.'.  She got pissed.  Drove around the back of that area and we see the ass end of Mama bear charging up the hill towards that cub.  Don't know what happened but wife had the look of 'Oh, I see now'

When Bebe was on Cheers, I didn't get it.  Turns out she's far hotter than Shelly Long and Kirstie Alley.

Was watching 'Say Anything' yesterday and she was in it as a guidance counselor.  Smoke show.

  3. Binging this on Hulu (no-ads, guess that makes me a Surly 1%'er) at night.  David Hyde Pierce was made for Niles.

Episode last night was from season 7 where Niles sinks a half court shot at a Sonics game.  He wins a Dodge Ram.  Afterwards he mentions to Frasier it would be perfect for antiquing...

He and Bebe  are in 'Julia' on HBO Max.  They still spar.  Bebe has aged well in my opinion.

  4. Fouts, Kellen Winslow (Senior of course), Oilers play off game when they beat the Chargers without Campbell and Pastorini...

But yeah, the uniforms are pretty cool.  Hope to see Herbert ascend to the top of NFL QBs too.  Kid can sling it.

  5. Eagles this past Friday was one of my favorite concerts ever.  I would not put it at the very top of shows I have seen but it was memorable for sure.  BB King will always be #1 for me.

I honestly have not kept up with the goings on with the Eagles over these years.  I had no idea Felder was no longer with them.  Steurt Smith had the sound and the licks down though.

My wife bought us tickets.  She likes The Eagles but loves Vince Gill.

The show itself had some great moments.  It was worth it just to see Joe Walsh play.  He seemed a little unsteady on vocals but the dude can still play guitar.  Him and Vince Gill traded licks on one of Joe Walsh's hits - Rocky Mountain Way,  and it was awesome.

The vocals and harmonies coming from dudes in their 60s and 70s were on point.  Lots of great moments through out.

We sat in section 119 - the Indeed club area at the Moody Center.  Nice Bar area.  Food could stand to be better.

The acoustics were great to me.  We sat 2 rows from the top - section T.  We got in and out of there with ease.  We did pay for parking in the garage nestled between DKRTMS, Mike Myers and the Moody.  If you need to go south, I recommend taking Dean Keaton down to Guadalupe instead of going back around the front of the Moody Center.  The main to remember is to avoid the front of the Moody Center.  Ride shares and drunk pedestrian weaving in and out of traffic

  6. My dream scenario is to see the maroon clad dipshits get booted and Oklahoma St gets an invite to the SEC.

Optics are already bad for the sheep fuckers but they keep doubling down and letting every one find out what we have known for years.

    Jimbo is a perfect fit.

I've done that several times when I've gotten trapped in a Waco shit show, but it is a long way.  I suppose it makes sense if you are going to somewhere east of Dallas proper.  I'm always going to downtown Dallas, so the SH 317 route is my preferred bailout.

I am typically going to Mesquite.  That being said, it can't be that much out of the way compared to other routes mentioned.

Never used 317 to go to Dallas.  Always used it as a jump off point to go to Waco\Woodway.

Vince Gill on take it to the limit was a bit of a religious experience. That was an awesome show, just wish they had saved Hotel Cali for a different spot. Otherwise, damn that was fun.

....i really would  like to catch a vince gill concert

Going to this show on Friday at Moody Center.

From what I have seen from Vince Gill, he his a pretty gracious musician.  He has no problem sitting back and just doing his thing on the guitar and letting others do the singing and playing.  I imagine him fitting in well and knowing his place.

    Looking forward to it.

It worked well this one time.  And probably most times because he's familiar with it.  But all it takes is one time that he has a little too much coffee or beer, or is a little under the weather, or has a banged up hand, or a bee stings him, etc.  On that day, his hand tweaks the throttle just a tad too much, and his head is smashed between the asphalt and the ATV as the ATV comes down from rocketing off the other side of the truck.

    FAFO

He should definitely be on the Darwin Awards watch list.

  10. First saw Melanie Lynskey in Detroit Rock City.  She was also in Two and a Half Men.

Regarding 'Candy', I don't recall this at all.  I was not too concerned with the world outside of high school... Lake Waco triple murders an another story though.  It is fascinating with the area that this takes in and knowing that I have family that lives around there.

We are two episodes in and we will stick it out.

  11. im guessing cars will be sliding all over the place too, shit show in store tomorrow for sure

They are sliding all over the place right now…

  12. I pretty much just watched to see how it ended.

I was thinking about what the outcome would have been had Jonah pointed the gun at Wendy instead.  Perhaps this was the intention of the last scene but given the fact that I have watched Ozark, I don't think that was their idea.

Not just Germany. It's common driving on freeways over there that if you're coming up on a slow car in the fast lane that you want to pass to flicker your headlights at them to bring attention to the fact that you're coming up on them (can't hear the horn at high speed). It's not seen as rude in the slightest - much safer than tailgating a slow as Llogg.

I've done that a few times here on I-35, and you'd think I'd pulled the rudest maneuver ever borrowing that practice based on their reactions.

Reminds me of when we had someone from India visiting our office in Houston.  She actually rented a car for her stay.  If you have ever seen or heard people driving in India, it is part of their driving culture to use their horns just to let other drivers know that they are close by, among other things... people in autos, motorcycles and cars all do this.

As you can guess, her first few days driving in Houston were met with an assortment of finger waving and death stares and other less than welcome greetings.

I guess so.  I think he's done a pretty decent job, and a mid-season stumble isn't going to change my mind on that.  The bar seems high, but Gus and Augie had their moments, too.

It would not shock me at all for Pierce to win a CWS Championship in the next few years.  If I thought that was an impossibility, I'd be less prone to stick with him.

He does have a high bar to follow and he his definitely having his moments, especially these last few weeks.

    What the hell?

I was just asking a question.  It's not unfathomable that this is on some peoples minds.  I personally am not looking for his head.

I was trying to be as passive as possible in the post.  Apparently not passive enough.  We good?
