  1. I am no team Max or Lewis guy.  It is fun watching these two race and that is what they were doing when the wreck happened.  I get people saying enough wasn't done regarding Hamilton's penalty though.  Both these guys are THE apex predators on the track and as others have said, they were bound to have something like this happen.

  2. Didn't get pulled over... but still

Years ago moving a guy from Waco to Friendswood.  We had 1/4 ounce of bud and a 12 pack of Bud for the trip. (Bad, I know.  I was young and very dumb).  Stuff was stacked high enough to where we couldn't see out of the back window.  Anyways cruising through Downtown Houston, passing a bowl back and forth with beers open.  I happen to glance into the side mirror and see a cop bird dogging my back bumper.  As we are in the middle of cleaning up as quickly as we can, he lights them up.  I figured I was about to spend sometime in jail.  As I start to make the move to pull over, he comes flying around me and takes off down I45.  As soon as he was out of sight... I pulled over to collect myself.

I will through out another example that isn’t someone I knew but I knew a lot of the people in the case.   Many of you may know the Adam Walsh murder story.  He was a kid abducted at the local Mall in Hollywood, FL and found murdered.  It was a big national story and his dad, John Walsh started the TV show Americas Most Wanted.  I lived in the same neighborhood as them and used to ride my bike to that mall almost daily so I was probably at the mall when he was taken (I think he was left alone at the Atari display in Sears or something like that).  The police detectives that worked the case were good friends with my dad (used to play poker with my dad and go fishing with him).  The dentist that did the dental medical records to prove the body was Adam was also a close friend of our family.  Let’s just say I was told there were rumors that this wasn’t a random abduction and murder but that his dad was in the drug business and this was a retaliation for some drug related stuff.

I have heard about this too.  My wife's brother-in-law is retired law enforcement from Florida -Jacksonville.  One time AMW was on while he was flipping through channels and he told me this.

Have we seen any deaths in the vaccinated population? I'm hearing more of break through infections but no hospitalizations in that group

I know of 1 person.  86 year old man that had been vaccinated.  He spent over a week in the hospital before succumbing to the virus.  Not sure of exact details of virus or vaccination.

No kidding... on the flip side, people send up their own "I am a dipshit and should be avoided at all costs" signals...

No answers to your specific questions.  When you say you have set watering days, do you mean, by ordinance or whatever, you only can water on certain days?

I just let Skynet control my watering schedule and it is nothing like I would have suspected.  But the grass looks great.

Yes, water restrictions... 2 days a week per city.  However, I am of the mind set if I spend less time watering, the city should be grateful.

  7. My grandma was a 2 pack a day smoker and drank Dr Pepper like it was going out of style.  She quit smoking cold turkey when she was in her mid 50's passed away at the age of 85.  Dr. Pepper, however, was a mainstay in her pantry until she passed.

I remember moving her and my grandpa out of their house and taking things off the wall and seeing what nicotine had done to the place.  I dug me some Devil's lettuce in my time but seeing that deterred me from making smoking a part of my everyday life.

I guess that’s still the outlying areas (with lower vaccination rates) sending their sick into Austin, so we get hospitalizations without cases.

I know of 2 people from Hays County that were admitted to Seton Main in Austin.  Elderly gentlemen, who was vaccinated, passed away this last Friday.  A woman, 60s or 70s, is in ICU.  From what I understand, she was not vaccinated.

  9. Installed Rachio 3 this week.  Easy to set up.  I already have a rain skip day.  I have set watering days but I am thinking about using Flex Daily to see if it saves money.

The only thing I didn't like about the initial set up was I have a zone with sprinkler heads and tree drips and It would not let me select both.  Basically, one head\drip type per zone.

Have any of you Rachio users used the Lawn Champion products? Thoughts?

I say you’re killing me Smalls! at least once a week.

    It’s part of our lexicon.

'You're killing me Smalls!' is a staple in my family.

  11. This is NOT related to the Clear Lake outbreak but it is a post vaccine case... I personally know an elderly man that is in the hospital with Covid and he is on a ventilator\ICU.  He has been vaccinated but I haven't asked about a particular vaccine.  He is being treated for a possible pulmonary embolism.

  12. Field of Dreams comes to mind for me too.  It reminds my of my grandfather and how he introduced me to the game and played catch, flies and skinners, and how to hit a ball.  When the movie come out within a couple of years of his death, I think I was one of several men having to take a little extra time to leave the theater.

Dig all the mentions about the movies I've seen like SPR and Shawshank and Forrest Gump.

I have mentioned it before - Godfather 2 - Michael embracing Fredo at Mama's funeral. 'Daaaaamn'

had to look it up lol. Doesn't seem to be. No google review within the last 8 months and the owner died last year according the their facebook which hasn't done much lately.

Thanks for the leg work!  I only mention it because my father was a mainstay at the place.  He was either there or work or home, mostly there,  until he passed away in '15.  You mentioned Woodinville and my mind went straight to that place.

Took this yesterday on the way from Seattle to Woodinville with my dog because the parents house has AC while my deathbox does not. Only even one ceiling fan in a 3 story townhouse. The previous night I moved the car outside and slept on an air mattress in the garage cause it was 80 down there vs upper 90's in the bedroom. Gotta do what you gotta do emoji1787.png

Seattle is not built for this shit. Entire area is cranky to say the least. e3434bc3aa034278d5205bccfbd0a485.jpg

Totally unrelated... is The Horseshoe still open in Woodinville?
