  2. Old Milwaukee Light. High school buddy's step dad stocked up on the stuff, so we would help ourselves every once in a while. Could never drink Lone Star. I was pretty much known to drink a lot back in high school. End of senior year I was out water skiing with my girlfriend and her older brother and he handed me a Lone Star, took two sips and sank it in the lake.

  5. An aside to this, wait until your team gets through the second time through the batting order before talking about at bats and lack of production. There have been some consistent inconsistencies there but these guys on the whole are good at making adjustments. Sometimes though, you got to tip the hat to the pitcher.
  6. The only think that is Shaka-esque about this team is the scoring droughts that last 4-5 minutes and THAT is mitigated by how hard they play defense and never stop hustling and getting stops and forcing turnovers. I am not sure how these types of droughts are common for other teams but it seems like we are good for one every game. Anyways.. I grew up in Waco and I cannot tell you how much it burns my ass to lose to Baylor. I hate it. Can't wait for the madness.

  14. No, but I did figure out it was a PEBCAK issue. So, soul crushing shame followed by a metric shit ton of embarrassment.
  15. I know. I am sure work is the only normal thing going on right now in their lives though. That's not said to justify anything. Like I mentioned today is the first time the war ever came up. There has never been any mention from them about what was going on until today and they were asked by someone on US soil. It was by chance that it came up today.
  16. I know there are long lines for gas. We are looking into options to help hopefully it will trickle up to C-level.

  18. I work with several people in the Ukraine. We have stand-ups twice a week driven by a manager there. Typically, in the midst of this, nothing is mentioned. Today, the Ukrainian manager is unable to connect.(He is OK). So, we had a guy in the US drive the meeting. He asked and several others in the US asked how they were doing over there. They are in Odessa area btw. The stress they are under became palpable to us this morning. When asked how close they were to what was going, one guy replied with perfect eastern European matter-of-fact tone "It's not too close, but it doesn't matter since they have missiles that can reach this far". He did mention he has heard a couple of explosions. Another guy ends his status with "not much else going on except war is on the doorstep". Other things brought up were shortages and long lines. I have only worked with this team a short time but they are great to collaborate with. Kind, giving, and understanding. I felt so small when I had to ask one of them for help on something afterwards. It's a travesty that they have to live like this.

  20. Allergies kicking up... re: video. Watched it unfold while on a track campout in the middle of a cow pasture in Gatesville, Tx. Coaches brought a TV and generator. It was quite the sight. A huddle of people in the middle of nowhere watching this incredible event unfold. I remember that the last 2 minutes seemed like 2 years. Thanks for this Beau!
  21. Kyle. Granddaughter ran her slowest time ever by 3-4 seconds in the 100 meter hurdles. Thankfully tomorrow's schedule meet in Buda has been called off.
  22. I went to kindergarten at LMA in Sunnyside. I can see things changing over the last 50+ years.
  23. Windy as fuck. Went to track meet last Thursday evening. Temps were in the low 50s and dropped to mid 40s while there. Walking back to the car at the end, there were 20-30 mph steady winds if not 30-40 and up... most miserable I have ever been in cooler-cold weather. There was not at thing block it either. Back in January, as I was getting over what I assume was flu\RSV\cedar fever\corona***, wind gust blew my weber grill off the back porch. (***I mention that because I thought I was going to die getting that sumbitch back on the porch) It can be a bit of wind tunnel on my back porch but its still takes a lot to push that thing around. I have had to retrieve once before in August of 2020 and that was because of microburst\tornadic conditions.
